I go Dorin's Blade > boots > IE > Black Cleaver > something defensive

Sometimes I'll grab a Zeal if I'm doing really well and some extra gold.

Q>W>Q>E>Q>R>Q

At the end of that, both Q and W should be up at about the same time. Between spell casts you just walk along whatever path the enemy will be taking so they don't get out of spell range. One of the developers described Ryze as a "spell machine gun" and that's exactly what he is.

Yeah, that's the combo I do (though I switch over to Q>E>Q>W..., if I know I won't need the cage). Usually seems, though, that I either can't go through an entire combo for mana reasons (early-game) or am playing against tons of magic resist (late-game).

Void Staff and/or Sorc Shoes? I usually use the latter and I end up fine.

I have gone full circle back to my very first champion that I bought: Alistar. I like him a ton and if you pair him with a good DPS you mow mother fuckers apart. I love that he can jsut wade into battle and tank just about ANYTHING for 8 seconds. I remember this last game I played I was just attacking the towers at the nexus alone while 2 other champions and one of the towers was targeting me and I still managed to get both down. He is a monster, and I love him.

I think I finally found a champ I'm gonna actually stick with.

So...mediocre tank value aside, wtf is with Galio's damage? if you use his Q followed by his E, that is some srs bsns damage at a very solid range. Building deeeps ahooooooy!

I definitely avoid Void Staff since it does nothing for mana. A help for last hitting minions, perhaps, but the money is more useful elsewhere.

I do usually pick up a Sorc Shoes. Even with that, the damage feels quite blunted by the end game, but that might simply mean that I fall behind in gold.

Champions - John Doe - 04-11-2011

Runes and Masteries then. Tongue

Hint hint get to level 30.

Ryze's skills still scale with AP and they're all magic damage. Void Staff is a great item for him.

Tear > Sorc Shoes > Banshee's > Frozen Heart > Void Staff

Standard build for him. It's awesome.

I'm so glad I got a full set of Armor Pen runes. Hilarious walking around with 70 armor reduction doing basically true damage to squishies who are too dumb to build armor.

Champions - Kaden - 04-12-2011

Armor Pen is awesome. Especially on someone with an AD steroid like Mundo or Nocturne. They end up hitting for absolutely outrageous amounts of damage.

EDIT: Ryze is such a beast. Man I love playing him.

Champions - Orion - 04-12-2011

I'm developing a taste for Swain. As long as he has a good laning partner, I could definitely see wrecking other people's shit.

Champions - Super Buu - 04-12-2011

I just tried out Nasus, that's sated my warriormage cravings. Building up Siphon Strike is addictive, and effective. The fact that it works on towers is even awesomer. Definitely gonna be playing more of him.

Champions - Rafael - 04-12-2011

Here's to Brand being good, 'cuz this guy is adding him to teh collekshun

Nasus's brother, and I want to say similar playstyle. Not at all the same when comparing them on a small level, but in the general feel, they both have that "hit ult, become badass and hit things really hard" feel. After that though, it breaks away. Still, both are fun. I'd learn him now that Renekton is getting nerfed, although I don't think at a glance that he's going to be hurt much.

Champions - Super Buu - 04-12-2011

Yeah I don't think the Renekton nerfs were too bad. I didn't think Slice n' Dice needed a cooldown nerf (I love it for the utility more than anything else), but hey what do I know, I'm sure he'll continue to massacre people regardless.

I did think there were kinda similarities, but to me it's cause they're both great at both laning and pushing but also pretty good at killing champions. They're both fairly versatile, but I like Nasus even more as with a tanky build because then you can just fuck with people endlessly at very low risk to yourself, and Siphon Strike gets strong regardless of attack stats.

Champions - Kaden - 04-12-2011

Yeah, all Nasus really needs for insane damage is a Sheen. Then he can build tanky and scale off of his CS.

Champions - Rafael - 04-13-2011

Brand=fucking monster, holy cow. The damage seems pretty high and his cooldowns pretty low. I find it worth using Clarity so far, grabbing the cheap AP tome at the start with just enough for a mana pot and you can stay in a good bit. Once he has all his skills he's a knife through buttery minion waves, too

Also, forgot to mention: Range. Brand can, for the most part, stay out of most character's range while still harassing. Love =D

Champions - Jonathan Meer - 04-13-2011

The 'burning' mechanic is extremely interesting. I'd like to see some overlap between it and the frost mechanics of, say, Ashe and Anivia.

Champions - Rafael - 04-13-2011

On a random note, I would like, someday, to have a team consisting of Galio, Fiddlesticks, Anivia, Nunu, and Karthus
