At the moment I'm somewhat annoyed at being so thoroughly second-guessed and an explanation by me would result in "but this person is better" and "but he's more experienced" by you, which would probably bring me to "shut the fuck up we know what we're doing."
I've been in better moods.
What I will say is this: the staff have kept this RPG up, running, and overall successful for a long time. We've done that by making the decision we feel are best for the RPG, and we generally do that well. I was hoping the members of Chubbs would be a bit more willing to trust in the decisions of the admins, even if something seems a bit random to you.

You're basing the RPG's "flounder" on nothing, though. Despite all the complexities of Jenga, one staff member isn't going to destroy the RPG. Not the addition of one. Not the loss of one. Would things be the same? No, certainly not, but that doesn't mean things will get worse.

There was faith in you guys. My understanding was that you would choose someone with some EXPERIENCE first, that knows Chubbs a bit more than randomly picking some noob.
Seriously. I am about to go toodlebops from Chubbs. This shit's getting crazy.
EDIT: No, but I have been in several RPGs that have gone under for similar reasons.

Oh, and I just wanna say something before I get classified with the angry mob. I wasn't planning on going into some huge debate on what decisions were made - I respect you and Reijin's decision and trust in them. But when you, Raditzu, tell us to be "totally honest", I thought I should at least be totally straight up with you.
Maybe Akane will be a good staffer member, that's true. Maybe their was a reason to lower the rank of Bra and Burter, that's also possible. Point is, I don't want to come as if I'm taking shots at the staff, I'm not. Don't think that. =O

I wonder how hard it was to guess that would happen? The last time a member was promoted to staff in such a short times was- gee, when was that- Oh I remember! When Chris first opened the RPG. This isn't some newb DBZ RPG, there is of course going to be a big stink about this when you guys go and promote a random newbert who's been here all of 3 weeks; without a reason other than- "Trust us". There are only three reasons that could see this happening, one being that Akane is a former member which I sure as hell hope so since RP'ing ability does not denote being made staff after 3 weeks. There are people here *COUGH*BARDOCK*COUGH* who just got promoted even though they have been here awhile. Because truthfully, the members have to trust their staff and be familar with them- hence the need to actually wait more than a MONTH to get to know someone. The second possibility is that Akane was former staff, which I seriously doubt since other than Kay there hasn't been a female staff member- unless you count Selipa and if you guys brought her back on staff I will seriously hunt you down, and kill you- I promise. Thirdly, this person is a close friend of girlfriend with one of the staff and is familar with the Chubbs community and can be vouched for by said member.
As for the demotions, you guys say you have been discussing it for months but obviously that's B.S. since Burter and Bra didn't know what was happening; P.S. Neither did VJ- I asked. That means it was Raditsu and Reijin discussing it or half the staff was left out of the discussion.
Edit: And yeah I am being pretty vocal about this, because it's as fucked up as what Chris did to me so it hits a nerve.

Trying to stay off the Akane topic.
I'm just gonna say, that i know you have your reasons but i believe that Burter has been the most helpful staffer on chubbs since i've got here. People say they have problems with him, but i don't really see it. I've probably asked burter (and krillen) about a million questions, and updates since i've been here and never once had a complaint.
I'll definatlely be sad to see burter go, he's the most deserving of that position and the most active in staff "stuff" that i've seen lately.

lol, I'm just going to throw this out for the sake of everyone's sanity. Why is waff a mod? He doesn't rp...he doesn't update..hell, he doesn't do anything.
Also, Rad, don't back down now, if there is a good reason for it, then just say it, it's what we're all waiting for...or at least, that's what I'm waiting for. I believe that Akane has a good reason to be promoted to staff, it just hasn't been seen yet and I believe that's what's really worrying the rest of the members.

How about y'all shut the hell up, and leave the staff to do their things. Their staff for a reason, and even if people don't have faith in them, some people do. And while these people run this place, it's up tothem what they do and what they can't do.
Why make them give a reason for doing something they felt should be done, or something they felt should be tested. Everyone person here could be in with a chance of becomign staff the next time a shuffle may happen, and with out doing something like that, you never know who can be worthwhile as staff and who isn't.
Either you people shut up, and get a damn life instead of fretting over a god damned RPG that has been running for perhaps a good 5+ years, and leave the staff the fuck alone.

I apologize foremost for the lack of communication that we have displayed. If you all haven't noticed yet, this was posted very early in the morning, a bit later than anyone wished, and we really wanted to get some sleep as its now a Monday morning and we both had pressing matters elsewhere.
I'm going to get to responding to your concerns as soon as possible, however, please all me the courtesy of doing so. I still have a lot to read, and mass apocalyptic panic is not going to help matters. I may also take my "morning shower" in between, but it will be ok. This thread will be here when I return, so there is no reason for us to have a struggle.

I just want to peek in and offer my endless graditude to those supporting me. I was demoted, but I was not removed or banned. My leaving Chubbs, if it even happens (and the more I talk to Rad, the less it seems I will), will be MY choice and not the staff.
However, I thank everyone for their support of me in terms of staff placement. It means a lot when people defend me, especially when I'm not expecting it.

Just warn us before you do this crap. Had you come to us and given us notice, say, two weeks in advance that "We're doing a staff change on Nov. 13, here is a list of who is in danger and why" then this whole thing would be twice as easy.
But you didn't. You chose to ram us with a brick wall.
I will return if I'm actually being given a second chance to show I can do what is expected of me, now that someone has finally told me. Apparantly, me list of SM duties and your list was different, because I didn't get an updated copy
