Yeah. Belated point here, but I quit when my T2 ice miner got locked down and blown up by a pirate in low sec space. I'd looked away from the game for one minute, came back, found myself warp-jammed and being torn to pieces, and just had to sit there and watch as 100+ million of ISK went swiftly down the drain, with no real way to get it back (T2 insurance is garbage).
Permanently lost. Gone. Why? Because some chucklehead wanted to play a pirate for a night and get his rocks off destroying other people's hard-earned work. The only way to avoid this thing is to RABIDLY watch Local for anyone and run like a pussy to a station the second a portrait (that is not your own lovely mug) shows up.
I don't care how in depth your game is. When you punish players for not playing like a paranoid schizophrenic, you can't legitimately call it fun. If the ONLY way for me to be secure is to roll around in a 10+ player fleet, the pain is somewhat mollified by my contact with people over Vent, but that doesn't change how shitty and unforgiving a "game" EVE is. It's a game for "hardcore" players and griefers who enjoy high-stakes e-peen contests and little else.
Yahtzee did a review on EVE Online a while back that was pretty spot on, at least with regards to player corporations: "But then there are apparently people who can stay awake long enough to join and run player corporations. Either they're all bizarro people that wear shoes on their heads or I'm underestimating the appeal of having a second job that you have to pay for."

The only downside is that it wears off. I remember the week I watched 4 seasons of The Sopranos, I felt a sense of bravado that has yet to be paralleled. I felt like I had finally figured out what it meant to be a leader and a man, and how to grab life by the balls and make it my bitch.
By the weekend I was back in my room, curled up mulling over my inadequacies.
But it's so great while it lasts. Enjoy that shit!

Yeah....but he didnt always have three kings. For the longest time he only had two, which compared to my two pair was obsolete. But on the river he managed to conjure up a third king which i think could have only been the product of witchcraft.
