It's actually received a lot of criticism. But personally I love it. I don't care if it's not changed much, Resident Evil 4 is still is one of my favourite games to play and so more of the same is fine by me.

12 days =D Except my 360's still broken and my shipping label still hasn't arrived, so I won't be playing it that soon =(

i don't like the direction that the biohazard series is going in. sure, the gameplay is fun enough but it's not survival horror anymore. resident evil 4 and 5 should be spin-offs, not titles in the main series.

Survival horror doesn't really exist nowadays. It's all taken a turn for the more action-oriented. Whilst I enjoy the original Resident Evil and Silent Hill games, I have no qualms with the newer ones either.

Pretty much. As Yahtzee puts it "there were no survival horror games this year, just a bunch of action games with enemies who had arms growing out of their tits"

It snowed. I chilled with a chick I was crushing on last semester, come to find out she went through a lot of shit last year. Kind of feel happy that she's in a better place, right now I like knowing I have a good chance of going to see my girlfriend in texas. If anything if I don't get to see her I'm going to go crazy and just suck it up and count down the days until december.

Off top...I love snow. But I god damn hate it when it melts during like the evening then the sun goes away and bam the temperature drops even lower and your god damn car doors freeze shut and your fucking trunk is frozen shut too so you can't get the deicer out, you don't own any gloves and your fucking toboggan is at your sisters apartment because your neice decided she wanted it for herself even though ITS WAY TOO BIG FOR HER AND YOU KNOW SHE LET THE DAMN PUPPY PLAY WITH IT SO NOW YOU HAVE TO WASH IT WHEN YOU GET BACK HOME AND THAT MEANS YOU HAVE TO HAVE MORE DIRTY CLOTHES SO YOU WON"T BE WASTING ELETRICITY JUST FOR A LOUSY HAT.

I took pictures of the snow, my niece made like six snow angels then jumped around in them until they were destroyed...a little scary but pretty cool.

Oh yea I hate that fucking bitch for listing our mid-term as a regular exam and then coming to class last friday and going 'Oh yea the exam that's on your syllabus that's your mid-term.' :| god damned asshole.

So I was playing a $1 poker tournament earlier, I was actually doing quite well which was nice since I've been on a poor run as of late. About 150 people left out of maybe 2500 starting, I had just been moved to a new table. A couple of hands in I get KJ, and decided to raise, I was quite short stacked at the time, anyway I make it around 2k, and a guy who's super short stacked shoves all in for 2100, two fold when the table's big stack calls (I had only been at the table for about 15 hands, he must have played about 10 of them, so I wasn't really worried that he might have a huge hand) I call the extra 100 and see a flop. Nothing hits, both check to the river, where he leads out for 2k. Now there's about 9k in the pot, no side pot, so my first thought is clearly King high is not good here, since he has nothing to gain by bluffing me off a hand with a guy all in he was gonna have to showdown anyway. So I fold, and he shows 10 high, the other guy has King high with a 3 kicker... I would have won the pot with my KJ. Winning that would have gave me 20+ big blinds and some breathing space, but instead he basically saves this guy from getting knocked out. I obviously asked, what the hell was that for? He just replied, 'sorry'?

By my reckoning one of two things happened here.

A) This guy is an idiot and had no idea that there was nothing to gain from making me fold, since it was unfuckingbelieably unlikely his 10 high would be the better hand than the guy who was all in.

B) ZOMG COLLUSION IN A $1 TOURNAMENT!!!

I'm gonna go with A.

Anyhoo, couple of hands later, me being pretty short stacked, I shove all in with KJ, he calls with K and a 10 of hearts, and hits running hearts on the turn and river to win with a flush.

That's the problem. There's still room for the genre, but all the developers are fighting over the action market. Characters don't have to be superheroes armed to the teeth for it to be a good game. I still play RE2 because it's fun to be a regular Joe with a pistol trying to survive a zombie invasion.

Where, ya know, the zombies are actual zombies.
