Hate: having a sinus infection

Hate: having a sinus infection on the weekend

Hate: that I have to leave campus by 7:45 am tommorow to be on time for my GED orientation and the GED writing test later in the day when I'm sick

Hate: that I won't be able to come back to the campus within enough time to head to the open clinc before it closes that day, thus barring my chance to get properly medicated until the day after tommorow

Hate: that it's snowing like cats and dog, and sticking. My god is it sticking. I expect five inches, given the area I'm in. -_-

Like: ...that I have access to Chubbs as an outlet to bitch and complain. xD

I just saw Watchmen.

That movie was fucking amazing.

The subtle weaving of things like "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears really got me.

I was a bit surprised by the amount of sheer nudity involved; I think I've seen porno films with less nudity. But it WAS quite visually impressive, though I don't feel the sex scene was really necessary to the flow of the story, personally. It didn't further anything and seemed mostly just thrown in there; however, it was a pretty hot scene regardless.

The random gore was actually quite well done also.

My favorite two characters had to be Rorschash (spelling off) and Dr. Manhattan. I think they (from the point of someone who hasn't read the graphic novel) stayed very true to character up to the final scenes, which I appreciated.

Oh, and the word usage was simply god damn amazing. All the monologues were magnificent and I assume them to be lifted directly from the novels. About the point Jon mentions "As she handed me the cold, perspiring glass..." was when I realized my mind was destroyed by the sheer descriptive terminology being employed.

Given that I was going completely on assumption of the spelling, I'd say that's not all that bad.

And that igloo to the north runs on Tim Hortons.

Also hate Daylight Savings.

The sun doesn't rise until 7 now? What about the nights I have nightmares of killer clowns and end up cradling my pillow, wide-eyed, until the sun comes up? Huh? Nobody fucking thought about that!

They actually did.

This was a deliberate attempt to make your life just that much more horrible.

The truth hit me like a thousand pound bag of bricks dropped from the top of the Empire State Building. The blue-haired angel uttered the words as if they could be found in any textbook north of Mexico. It seems the joke was on me. I was a few years late to a surprise party dedicated to the perpetuation of my misery.

Never shoot the messenger, that was one of the Cardinal rules, stretching as far back as the ancient kingdoms of Egypt. I guess when they had gone through all the trouble trudging through all that sand on the back of a camel, it just seemed unethical to do so. That was then, this is now. Cab-fare was a buck twenty.

She lay dead in the thick snow and I had gotten that feeling in my gut that I hadn't gotten in a long time. Daylight Savings Time, I should have knew it was a sham. I knew what had to be done, and how many bullets I'd need to get it done.

Time for Payne.

I probably write like that now after playing the game. It was totally way too cheesy, on purpose, and was consequentially epic. The over-written metaphors are the best. (A thousand pounds of bricks from the top of the Empire State? Whatever.)

Learning Deathblows in Xenogears is fucking complicated as shit, yet addicting. I ended up playing until 7 AM training Bart, Rico, and Elly (she has to be in the party, otherwise that bitch would be on the SYDE. LYNE.). Only learned like 2 deathblows though, that's kinda frustrating. =(

And I'm hooked btw. The story lulled towards the 7 hour mark, but now I'm 20 hours in and loving it like nobodies business. Should be studying for midterms but fuck that!11!1! Rite???

I really fucking hate that Youtube is gonna ban UK users from viewing music videos. Total bullshit.

And I like some parts of Comic Relief, the one-off sketches mostly. Speaking of which here's one of my favourites...

Whilst we're on the subject of anime, I finally started watching Code Geass, Jack, and it's actually quite good. I finished both seasons in a couple of weeks.
