Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. That was the prevailing feeling in MURDERVILLE that evening. Accusations were thrown left and right, theories began to spin, … but ultimately it seemed as though there would be no consensus.
Seeing this, one of the townspeople stirred.

“What about Whompt?”
Silence.
“Hmm … you’re right!”
“I guess it’s better to lynch somebody than nobody …”
“I ALWAYS KNEW WHOMPT WAS MAFIA”
And so they cornered him, pitchforks raised. Whompt didn’t even have a chance to defend himself.
After he was dead, they rifled through his pockets.
“Well, shit.”
Whompt was a townsperson, the Defense Attorney. He could remove a vote from one person, once a day, after publicly announcing himself. But he never got the chance.
