Okay. I don't really want to switch characters, but I've hit a dead end. Before I left, I dug Recoome into a poorly written hole, and I don't know how to get out of it.
I'm open to any suggestions you're willing to give.

He can't switch to Frieza, someone's applying.
Didn't they switch the death rule so that if you planned it out really good, players could make their characters die? If so, dying is always a good way to justify a memory wipe. And you could get revived if you went to King Kai's or if someone revived you using Baba's palace or the Dragonballs.

This isn't an update. This is for suggestions on character development. Moved to RPGD. If you actually want to switch characters, post another request.
As for a suggestion, if you don't like the character you've molded, a very basic way to start over without switching is to create a situation where his memory gets wiped. Once you've gotten beyond the whole "hey, who am I?" situation, make him into whatever you want, and reduce or remove his desire to learn about his old life and memories.
