Flying Mounts - Super Buu - 01-28-2007 Goddamn. And that's just the epic one. The Arena Nether Drake increases your speed by 310%. I really want a flying mount. Only 8 and a half more levels, and 500 gold to go. Seriously, I was hanging around Hellfire Peninsula yesterday capturing towers, and there was a 70 just whizzing from tower to tower dropping down and helping people. So friggin' cool. *sigh* My hero ... Flying Mounts - Android-18 - 01-28-2007 I was pissed to find out the dragon is a pvp reward. They showed videos, images, and it's even on the xpack box, making people think they could have gotten a dragon. Then I found out I'd have to win it in the arena >=O. Flying Mounts - Szar - 01-28-2007 >.> Good thing I stopped playing. Stuff like this consumes too much of my life. Nevertheless, that's pretty sweet. Flying Mounts - Broli - 01-28-2007 That's pretty sweet. I haven't been able to play for a week, so I've missed people hitting 70 and getting their mounts. 18, did the Devs say they were PVP rewards only? If not, I'm sure there's bound to be one hidden in one of the end-game dungeons, you know? Flying Mounts - Android-18 - 01-28-2007 The only drgon mount mentioned is a seasonal arena pvp reward, the nether drake. Flying Mounts - Tamsin - 01-28-2007 From what I know, it is possible that you will be able to obtain a Netherdrake by grinding for reputation with Netherwing. Allthough this hasn`t been confirmed, I`m sure Blizzard will have a PvE way to get it since one of their goals in BC was to balance PvP and PvE. Personally, my eyes are on Peep the Phoenix, probably the best epic flying mount in the game. However, it`s position is even worse then of the Netherdrake. It hasn`t been even confirmed that it will be a useable mount (it is possible it will be a boss mount, just like Mandokirs raptor), much less the methods on how to get it. Flying Mounts - Android 14 - 01-29-2007 From what I know, from speculation, guesswork, Beta, hints from Blizzard people in interviews and such like, the mounts go something like this: Normal: 60% Epic: 280% Wyven/Gryphon, Normal/Epic: Buy for 800g(?) and 5000g. Armoured NetherDrake (Epic): PvP arenas NetherDrake (Epic): either rep with the Netherwing or from an instance or PvE related source. Phoenix (epic): Probably from Kael'thas in the Tempest Keep 25 Man. Oh, and Supes means to his normal flying mount, which is like 800g. Flying Mounts - Super Buu - 01-29-2007 I also heard that those % speeds were on top of epic mount speed. So for example, the slowest flying mount has 100% run speed + 60% 'flying speed'. So plus +160% overall. That's just from the WoW forums, so don't quote me on it. The Arena drake has 310%. Straight from the WoW wobsite. =O Flying Mounts - Android 14 - 01-29-2007 Quote:Originally posted by Super Buu hm, so they ARE faster than other Epic flying mounts. Interesting, and a bit stupid. As for the actual flying speed being added to Epic mount speed, that's not the case. Probably what you heard is that flying mounts and epic flying mounts can also run on the ground at 100% of normal run speed. Normal flying mounts are still only 60% of normal run speed while flying (maybe while on the ground too), they're intended to be a way to get to places, just not quickly. Flying Mounts - Super Buu - 01-29-2007 They'd still likely be faster than Epic ground mounts, since they can fly straight over terrain and mobs. It'll be a while for me, though. What with my altaholism. =( Flying Mounts - Tamsin - 07-03-2007 Well, the legendary PvE Epic Flying Mount has been revealed. Give Ashes of Al`Ar! |
