I have a larger version of this that I'm using for my wallpaper now, but I wanted to see your opinions. There's alot that is irritating me about this, some things I tried to remedy, but overall I like it, from a not critical point of view.

Someone on this site told me I wasn't all that and a bag of chips... So I had to try.

Yes, that is me in the image.

I think I do the Human Torch better than Dana.

Personally, the effect over you looks horrid. The implimentation of the image to the background is nice thou, the menacing look is awesome.

Yeah, the way I was trying to get the flames going really irks me, b/c no matter which way I tried to accomplish it, it left behind the white tips, and also held this cgi style look to it, or some cel shadedness. I mean, that's not a bad effect, but its not really what I was going for.

I think it looks awesome. Not realistic, but it's still awesome.

You could always try duplicating the layer of your self prior to doing the smudge, and then do the smudge, and then apply a blend to it to help it merge over and thus, hide the white tips.

That's actually exactly what I did. I got white tips anyways. I started from scratch about five times and finally said fuck it.

If you saved the PSD, lemme take alook at it, see if I can't fizzle something up?

The Fifth Element - Ashe - 03-11-2007

I have it, but its probably just a practice issue that I could work up easy enough. It also flattens the image everynow and then from things, so that'd be hard. I just have to work on the technique most likely.

Yeah, try finadaling with some filters's and gradiant map's and shit. Also, something I learned off of Tom, is try using the "Apply Image" thing. It makes it look quite nicer.
