The Ultimate Mortal Kombat (A fanfiction) - Alura - 03-11-2007 The Ultimate Mortal Kombat
For thousands of years, desputes were settled in a physical content of talent, power and intelligence. Over time, this became known by the Elder Gods as Mortal Kombat, which would be the final decision maker in all conflicts. As the years wore on, however, Mortal Kombat became more then just a content. The kombatants began to break through laws of physics, becoming stronger and stronger. There became more talented fighters, and soon it was too much for the worlds to handle. The Elder Gods knew that soon, they would lose all control of the kombatants. The realms were being pushed into chaos, and so...one final contest had to be made. 62 of the fiercest fighters in all the Realms would take part in the biggest Mortal Kombat of all. Only one person could win and become an Elder God...and everyone else would perish. This would be known as the final fight. The climax of everything they've done. The Ultimate battle of Mortal Kombat. The Ultimate Mortal Kombat (A fanfiction) - Alura - 03-11-2007 The Kombatants

Taven was the first to recognize him. When he first re-gained his vision in the odd speaking chamber, he immediately looked up on stage to see the demi-God known as Argus. To many, Argus was a face for the Elder Gods. For Taven, he was his father. The many faces in the room shuffled about. The only person on the stage was Argus. Everyone else stood in the chamber. Jax Briggs immediately noticed Hsu Hao and moved to attack...until Sonya Blade grabbed his shoulder. "Don't," she directed her partner. "Wait." Many long-time enemies began to realize they were sharing a chamber with each other. Shang Tsung had seen the many glares facing him. Onaga just kept his eyes locked on Shao Khan. "Warriors of Mortal Kombat!" Argus announced. Everyone looked up. Daegon remained stoic, unsure of what was happening. He was so sure he had eliminated his father already. "I am the speaker for the Elder Gods. My name is Argus. What you see now is a magical recording of myself. If you are seeing this...it means I have passed away." Kabal crossed his arms over his chest. Kobra and Kira remained at each of his sides. His eyes were not locked on Argus, instead across the room at Mavado. "Despite my death," Argus continued, "The Elder Gods have foreseen the future of the realms if they continue as they are now. You are the 62 fiercest kombatants in the universe. You have broken laws that were not meant to be broken. Time. Elements. Gravity. If you continue as you are now, the realms will never see peace." Rain knew what was about to come up. A contest. He loved contests. "So we will hold a tournament," Argus informed them. "A Mortal Kombat like you have never seen. You will put on a special enchanted island created by the Elder Gods. The last person remaining wins and will be granted the powers of a God." This caused some whispers and surprised gasps. There was no question that many people liked this idea, particularly former God Shinnok. Some, like the current Wind God Fujin weren't as pleased. "You will fight, to the death. The winner will be permitted to bring back particular fighters if nessecary," Argus narrowed his eyes. "This is your chance. This will determine the fate of the realms. Will they prosper with great happiness and peace, or fall to the evil minds and burn in chaos? Any questions?" "When do we begin?" Asked the former God of lightning, Raiden. Everyone turned to him, then Argus. Argus grinned. "Right now." And all went black. 62 Remain

![]() Mokap began his Mortal Kombat adventure in the dungeons of a large castle. He hadn't been there before, but he knew was they were created to be a replication of. He had spoken to Johnny Cage enough times to have the stories of Goro's Lair be carved into his brain. He immediately grabbed a sword off the wall of the chamber and moved up the stairs. His first plan on action was to find Cage himself. After all, if it wasn't for Cage, he'd never have entered the world of Kombat. He was just a lowly motion capture action for Cage's martial arts film "Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance." It was Cage who actually got him into martial arts as a profession. Now he was in a contest to become a God? No, not Mokap. He knew that he was there as a fluke. No way he could hold a candle to some of the serious kombatants. He had gotten his ass kicked when he fought Quan Chi. How could he beat 61 people? "Halt," he heard as he moved into a hallway. He stopped moving immediately. The voice was robotic, but it wasn't Cyrax, whom he knew. No, this was a different one. He only knew of one other cyborg. Sektor watched as Mokap turned around. If he had a mouth, he would have grinned. This would be a perfect first victim. "I don't want to fight right now," Mokap declared. "Find your battle somewhere else." He didn't want to mention that the narrow hallway wasn't the best place to fight, given his size. Sektor moved his body into a fighting position. "I am Sektor," he informed the motion capture artist. "I am the grandmaster and founder of the Tekunin Cyborg Clan. You will accept my challenge of Mortal Kombat, or you will die right here. Make your decision." Mokap glared at the stubborn robot, but he too moved into a fighting stance: the one called Wing Chun. With his arms out and his feet planted, he nodded. "Fine, if that's how you want it. Let's fight!" The battle begin quick and even. Sektor use his wrists and ankles to block off the punches and kicks as Mokap sent them all over the place: right, left, down and up. Sektor side-stepped and avoided a straight jab to his metallic ches, and brought his knee up to the bulky torso. The hard shot sprawled Mokap backwards to one knee, holding his rib cage. "Foolish," Sektor said down to the kneeling Mokap. Mokap stood up and returned to a fighting pose, this time to a different style: Karate. "For a robot, you sure are cocky." Round Two was much more violent, as Sektor blocked less shots. Mokap's pure speed allowed his punches to break through the defense and abuse the metallic face and chest. Soon, Sektor found himself losing his balance, and Mokap slammed three punches onto his metal plate of a chest, causing him to hit the wall. When the fourth punch came, Sektor grabbed the incoming wrist and jabbed Mokap right in the nose. Humans were so sensitive to pain, and so the actor dropped back a couple steps. Mokap ducked under the roundhouse kick and then blocked a hook with his wrist, but he couldn't avoid another jab to the face. The two moved towards the center of the hallway, where Sektor had more room to unleash an attack. His chest opened up, revealing a small cannon. "Chest Laser!" The cyborg shouted. The motion capture suit protected Mokap, but it will still flung him backwards as the red laser burned into his body. He landed on his feet, spinning around as he caught his balance... One of the drakeswords that Daegon held penetrated the chest and heart of Mokap and stabbed all the way inside. Mokap gasped as the pain struck him. The evil eyes of Daegon just taunted him. "You...cheated," Mokap stuttered. How could this happen? Would he truly die this way? Daegon grinned. "How can you cheat, when there are no rules?" He flicked his wrist, and blood spat out of the back of Mokap. The brother of Taven then shoved the body backwards, so Mokap hit the ground with a thud. There was no time for celebration of his kill. Sektor had his red pulse blades out and was already in a fighting pose. "That was my kill." "It's our kill," Daegon said quickly, always the manipulator. "Run the odds in your little computer bank, cyborg. The odds are better if we cooperate with each other. You can fight me and risk it, or we can fight together and have a better chance of survival." Sektor gripped his blades. He certainly didn't like the idea of fighting with somebody, especially someone he didn't know. All he knew about Deagon was that he was the son of Argus and brother of Taven. But he had an air of evil ambition around him. An air of determination. Finally, he lowered his blades. "I accept your proposal. I am Sektor, grandmaster of the Tekunin." The man sheathed his drakeswords and stepped over Mokap's body. He stuck his hand with a wiry smile. "Daegon, son of Argus. Pleased to meet you, Sektor." Mokap DEAD

![]() Shujinko had begun his adventure in Mortal Kombat in a large ditch, surrounded by steep rocky cliffs. The path under the cliffs was wide enough to manuever, but his old bones probably couldn't tolerate climbing up the wall. So he just simply walked down the middle to find a way into a clearing. His mind was focused mainly on one thing. Sure, he was the middle of a contest to be a God, and he was fighting some of the best kombatants in the world: but that wasn't important. He had lost his entire life because he was deceived into collecting peices of a puzzle for 40 years. The result was Onaga, the Dragon King returning and continuing his reign in Outworld. Because of Shujinko. Shujinko had lost his entire life. When he was just a boy, Onaga had tricked him. He would have his revenge. Suddenly, he heard noise. Wings flapping. A shadow on the ground. Immediately, he spun around and looked up to see a familar vampire coming down upon him from the air. Thinking quick, he grabbed onto her and fell back, hurtling her to the side. "Oof!" He grunted as they both hit the ground hard. Nitara rolled up to her feet, crouched in a beastly pounce position. "Good to see you again, Shujinko." The old man rolled up as well, moving a Mantis fighting position. "Nitara! I should have expected such a cheap move from a deceitful vampiress!" "Such sweet words," the woman grinned, showing off her set of fangs. "But I didn't come down here to flirt. Shujinko, you will give me my rematch!" The elder man began to protest, but decided against it. Now was a good a time as any to have his first match in Mortal Kombat. "Very well, Nitara. Let's see if you can beat me this time!" Shujinko had trained with some of the best fighters in the universe over his life-long quest. Nitara's power wasn't enough match for the man's speed and skill. Even though the vampiress was much older then Shujinko, she hadn't fought as much as he was forced to. The punches from Nitara were blocked by the hands of Shujinko, and she took a hard shot to the jaw. She jumped up on the rocky wall, spinning in and air and unleashed a blast of darknes. "Take THAT!" She taunted, knocking Shujinko backwards. Shu planted his feet on the other side of the ravine and pushed forward to hit the ground. He momentum to run forward and meet Nitara in the middle, jumping up and knocking her right in the chin with his foot. The winged woman wiped away the blood and shrugged it off. When the two met again in kombat, Nitara's fists finally hit his rib cage and gave her an edge, knocking him five times and then jabbing his nose. "You're faster then that," she accused, but she blocked his fist anyway and punched him backwards against the wall. She remembered when she had met him last time, in Outworld while she was hunting for an artifact that could seperate her world from Outworld. After hostile interactions, they fought and she lost. This time, she was winning. Pinned against the wall, Shujinko could do nothing but take the aggressive attacks to his torso. He could feel how much stronger she was then him, his bones starting to crack under the pressure. She was not going to let down. Finally, she hooked him in the face, causing him to slam into the ground sideways. He could hear her kama sliding from it's sheath. His hand moved down to his sword at his hips. Quickly, he rolled over. A figure flew downwards from the top of the cliff. His eyes bulged as he realized Nitara had no idea. The person landed on his winged back and stabbed her in the back of the neck with two sharp points, which stuck out of her front side. "Princess Kitana!" He shouted as he recognized her. Kitana jumped up and began to ascend on the rocky cliffside. Nitara, eyes widened in shock, gripped her puntered neck. She immediately took the sky using her wings. Shujinko lept up, grabbing onto the dying woman's back and causing her to lose balance.. "Wait!" The old man shouted as he jumped onto the rocky wall. Nitara was growing weaker due to the neck injury, so he easily kicked her down from flight. "Kitana!" He shouted again. Using all he could, he jumped up, defying physics and making it all the way to the top. "Don't follow me," the princess demanded. He stood face to face with her. Within breathing distance. Then her palmed shoved into his chest and pushed him back. "Whoaaa!" Shujinko expertly backflipped and landed on his sturdy feet. He looked up to see nothing. She was gone. When he looked forward, he saw a struggling Nitara flailing kamas in both hands. Immediately, his sword was out and blocking the three attacks easily. She was weak, and dying without the ability to breath. He finally countered her and sent her sideways, and then slashed at her neck. Her head hit the ground before her body. He sheathed his sword, sighing. "I'm sorry, Nitara," he said honestly. "But that is how Mortal Kombat works." He looked up one last time. Kitana wasn't there. Why had she helped him? What was the princess of Edenia up to? Nitara DEAD

![]() ![]() The hallway was absolutely perfect in comparison. Sindel was actually surprised that the Elder Gods had replicated her castle from Edenia for use in the contest, but certainly wasn't complaining. If anyone knew anything about Edenia, it was Sindel. She had ruled it for a long time. She ran into the throne room to find a girl looking at the painting. The beautiful young woman immediately turned to see the intruder, and without thinking, pulled out her Sai (Picture). Li Mei wasn't going to waste time with words. "Hold on a moment," Sindel said. She was well aware that fighting the girl was not going to benefit her right now. Li Mei, however, didn't listen. Instead, Li Mei lunged forward. "No talking! I'm here to win!" She assaulted Sindel with her leg, but the woman easily blocked it all. Li Mei's only fighting experience came from training with Shujinko and Bo Rai Cho, and that was only for a year or so. She desperately wanted to be the Mortal Kombat champion, but lacked the patience to properly train. Sindel, who had been skilled in kombat for years, easily bested Li Mei. She used his wrists to block the kicks and then lept up, spinning and kicking the cute girl right in the chin and sprawling her back. Li Mei landed right on her butt. Meanwhile, another threat lurked near. A black man was watching the fight, but his eyes moved to a newcomer, a woman in yellow holding up a slender staff. She was prepared to strike down the Queen. CLANG! Sindel spun around at the sound. Kai's spiked club had blocked the Kobu Jutsu staff of Tanya before it could slice open her head. He had saved her. "Only cowards hit from behind," Kai told the evil woman in yellow. He pushed her back, away from him. Tanya just glared, her evil intentions apparant. "What would a monk know about bravery?" She spat. Kai was about to respond, but Sindel moved in front of him, her Kwan Dao (Picture) now out and in her hand. "I thank you for saving me from her attack," she told the man, whom she hadn't met. "But this traitor is my fight." The monk nodded. He knew all too well what she meant by that. Some people just had the rights to fight certain oppenents. He turned and walked in the opposite direction of her. Li Mei was standing up, holding her Sai, confused. "This isn't our fight," Kai told the girl. "This is her's." Without another word, the bulky man walked away and to the door. Li Mei pouted a bit, as she wasn't happy that she had just been bested by Sindel. But the monk seemed strong, and nice enough. She too walked off and followed Kai. This left two females in the room. Sindel held her Kwan Dao and Tanya held her staff. "I, Queen Sindel of Edenia," the empress shouted, "Challenge you, Tanya, Traitor of Edenia, to Mortal Kombat!" She swung her blade and pointed it down. "To the death." Tanya grunted and held her staff up. "It's your funeral." Sindel kept a straight face as she began to charge up her wind power, hair floating in the process. Her eyes lit up white. It was time for a real fight. She knew Jade or Kitana would rather be the ones to kill this traitor. The woman who had betrayed their realm and left them out to dry. Tanya grinned. This would be easy. She didn't feel bad at all for her deceit. The way she saw it, everyone should do what benefits them the most. She always picked the winning side. Without any warning, both shot forward. The tiny blade of Tanya made sparks as it clashed with Sindel's blade. Tanya was nothing short of skilled at kombat, but she had to give credit to her oppenent, who had definetly not lost any experience in her old age. Tanya ran towards the throne as they matched blade strikes, keeping herself in motion. Sindel suddenly snagged the upper hand, batting the skinny blade from Tanya's hand and knocking it aside. Tanya, in retalation, jumped back onto the steps leading to the throne. Both woman unleashed fireballs, which cancelled. The Queen of Edenia stabbed through the smoke with her Kwan Dao, but Tanya avoided it and gave the Queen three kicks to her mid-section. Then she raised her arm, and brought it down onto Sindel's elbow...breaking the bone and causing it to bend the wrong way. "Aaaagh!" Sindel grunted as she fell to one knee, her arm shattering. "Damn!" Before Tanya could taunt, Sindel desperately stabbed her Kwan Dao forward. It penetrated into the traitor's heart, and out her back. Tanya stood there, shocked. She had gone from winning to losing, in a millisecond. One move in Mortal Kombat and she had failed. Sindel breathed deep, watching, hoping she would fall. And fall she did. Tanya hit the ground like a pile of bricks. Then Sindel dropped, holding her arm. Tanya DEAD

![]() The forest was just as eerie as the original one in Outworld it was based off of. Kano had spent many nights alone in the living forest, so for him, it wasn't a big deal. He had come face to face with some of the scariest people in the universe; a little forest wasn't gonna frighten him. Unlike some other fighters, Kano was thrilled to be chosen to play in this game. He was stuck as the lackey to evil no-gooders like Shao Khan or Quan Chi. Now was his chance to rid hiimself of all of them in one fell swoop. Not only could he win, he could become a God! So when he saw a yellow-skinned man nearby, he immediately grinned as he recognized him. He and Mavado were sworn enemies, being members of different factions (Kano for the Black Dragon and Mavado for the Red Dragon). So obviously it was excellent news to see Hsu Hao, the personal bitch of Mavado himself. Hsu Hao couldn't even dodge it. The laser from Kano's metallic eye blasted forth from behind him and hit him right in the back. "Aaagh!" He groaned, another blast hitting him. He fell to both knees as he took a third, and then dropped, motionless. "I expected more of a fight from Mavado's little fighter," Kano taunted as he kicked the corpse. "Oh well. Don't worry, your master will be right behind you." Kano began to walk off further into the forest, pleased with himself. However, his cockiness got the best of him, as a sudden laser blast jammed him in the back, just like he had done to Hsu, and he sprawled into a tree. Hsu Hao stood up, holding his side in pain. His artificial heart was glowing after the laser blast. "Black Dragon Scum," Hsu spat. The one-eyed menace spun around, a scowl on his face, and stomped his way to his oppenent. "I guess we'll have to get serious!" Kano jumped up for a kick, but it was blocked, as was his punch on the way down. Hsu Hao used his wrestling background to get three hard punches into Kano's chest, and then following it with a fourth to his face, forcing him back. No words were needed from the Red Dragon spy. The Black Dragon warrior, Kano, hit the tree and instantly fired his eye laser again. This time he deliberately hit Hsu Hao in the artificial heart: where it would hurt the most. "Ugh!" Hsu grunted, stopping in his tracks. The pain was legendary, as it always was when his exposed heart was hit. He only had the thing because it enhanced his power, but it was always a burden when people attacked it. This time was no different. Kano's butterfly knives flew threw the air with Hsu Hao distracted. They hit their target dead on, causing the red dragon spy to fall backwards in a heap. "That was harder then I thought," Kano said seriously, "But yer still just a red dragon bitch to me." Hsu Hao DEAD
