Yeh so I just started playing the Beta and all, and was wonderin if anyone else is thinking about tryin it out. It's pretty good, reminds me alot of another MMORPG that I know...

Anywho, name is Iziwaru and i'm on the Gladden server if anyone decides to play.

It's installing now. What class are you? You get to choose race, I assume? If so, which are you?

You guys have NO idea. I was on that forum before I was here. Kiro was my name there. JUST Kiro. I'll download it tomorrow, I can't get on the game computer tonight. To sick to move from this spot.

Rad, Waff and I played the beta for a few hours. It seemed pretty cool, but it didn't feel like there was a lot of customization going on. Having so few classes didn't help either.

This is how Rad played

My bf just bought a copy for both of us, but it's Euro so I probably won't see many of you lol.

Because he has my copy I'm sitting here downloading these files that take forever.

I'm a littel weary, I don't see any healer types, only semi-healer types.

Anyone still play this?

I'm thinking about downloading the free trial because I cannot find satisfaction in WoW or CoH/CoV... and I love the movies, so I think I might like this game.

LOTR: Online Anyone? - Kaden - 07-01-2008

I was pretty disappointed with LOTRO. Just didn't seem well designed to me.

That said, be a Minstrel. I imagine whoever was in charge of class balance played D&D, as a bard, religiously.

LOTR: Online Anyone? - Juno - 07-01-2008

I'm very picky about my MMOs... I guess the graphics in CoH and WoW just didn't do it for me. Plus, I hated the monotonous feeling of quests in both of them. LOTRO fix this, or should I keep looking? I can see the graphics are good, but I just don't want that same monotonous feeling I get from questing.

LOTR: Online Anyone? - Kaden - 07-01-2008

LOTRO doesn't really do anything new. It has something called achievements, I think, that are kind of like badges from CoX and a system where you're supposed to be able to, like, replay an instance as one of the critters and try to fight off other players. Or something like that. Neither features were overly interesting.

LOTRO is fine, but don't expect it to redefine the genre for you.

Decided to download this. Love LOTR, think maybe the game'll be good.

If not, I'll just uninstall it and get L2 on that server you guys play on. =]
