What's worth downloading? I'm told the new Simpsons is.

If its still up there, the Stranglehold demo is awesome. The Blue Dragon demo is ok, but RPG demos are usually a little awkward. That said, I also liked the Eternal Sonata demo.
The demo for Sonic the Hedgehog gives you one of the better levels from that game.
Obviously, the Bioshock demo is great.

Being new to the Live scence myself I've got to add a question to this, what actual games are worth downloading? I've heard good things about Geomatry Wars and Wormz, but is their anything else worth the money?

Geometry Wars is a great one. You can also download Lumines (which beat out Tetris for the best puzzle game, in my mind) and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (arguably the best platformer/explorer that's ever been made).
There are a whole bunch of other games you can get, but most of 'em are for those feeling kinda nostalgic. Street Fighter 2 and Doom are great examples of what I mean.
