[Staff] change is in the air - Toshiro - 02-02-2008

Ok, so since I've kinda hit a blunt force dead end with Gohan, and if I change him up any more, it'll be like I've just diverted from progressing down a further path with the bugger..

So, I was looking in to changing from Goh in to a custom char, which hits a 20 TP slash, correct? What I wanna know, is do we just simply skip two weeks training after the post, or do we simply get the 20points knocked away from what we got?

Also, in the process of my change, I'm looking to become an android, would I be at all able to detour the purchesing of the Android Upgrade, as I've already got SSJ? I understand if I can avoid buying it and then just have to unlock it, but I'm just wanting to know this.

And finally, would I be at all able to do like a part exchange in regards to my fighter? I wanna get rid of it and get me self a ship, can this be done? And if it can, how will it work out? Total price of the ship I've made in to is knocked off from the price of the ship?

Thanks.

The TP penalty needs to be taken out of your current stats or stored points.

I don't think you'd be forced to 'lose' a power-up. As I understand, since you're an SSJ, that would entitle you to it's equivalent across the board, though you might have to pay for the upgrade to make things fair, so to speak. I'm not 100% on that.

As for the ship... I don't know, but I have absolutely no problem with that. You are, afterall, changing characters. There's no reason you should be forced to stay with something a different character bought. I'm not sure, though, you'll need clarification on this point.

All in all, though, most things should be good.

Nice one, but I'll wait untill I got an affirmative answer to all those questions, about weather or not their good to roll or not.

[Staff] change is in the air - Kaden - 02-03-2008

How does the 20 TP penalty for switching work?

After all of your stats are totaled and distributed into the new stat system, you lose 20 TP from your "stored' TP. This is the last thing done. So, if you choose to store 20+ TP, you'll basically pay it off immediately. If you choose to store less than 20 TP, your stored TP will be set to the appropriate negative amount. Your stored TP must be positive before buying stat points with your weekly training.

Can you avoid purchasing an Android Upgrade?

No. Since you already have SSJ, your upgrade will be active as soon as you buy it, but you still need to buy it.

Can you trade in your fighter towards the purchase of a new ship?

No. Your best bet is to try and sell the fighter to another player and use those proceeds to purchase a larger ship.

Gotcha, thanks Rad.

Right then, since I've got the majority of preperations outta the way..

IF a staffer would be able to switch my name to the following:

Toshiro

I'll get an vault and everything whipped up by the end of the day.

Ok, so a triple post, but I just remembered:

When I change to my Android, what exactly will happen about my Kaio-Ken?

[Staff] change is in the air - Ander - 02-07-2008

You'd still have it. It doesn't go anywhere.

[Staff] change is in the air - Sage - 02-07-2008

No, it does. I get it now.

[Staff] change is in the air - Toshiro - 02-07-2008

Don't spam, Bra.

But I was asking, because I know that Androids don't typically get Kaio-Ken (from what I remember), thats all.

but thanks y'all =D

[Staff] change is in the air - Sage - 02-07-2008

I wasn't spamming. Much.

And... maybe you just haven't seen an android w/ Kaioken. They can get it, though I suppose it might be uncommon.

Bra Wrote:They can get it, though I suppose it might be uncommon.

Correct. Small bit of Chubbs trivia, the first Android 17 has the second person to ever get Kaioken.
