Question: All - Druu - 08-24-2008 Right, well, first off, wow. I've not actually seen a forum like this before with page long RP's that aren't broken down into single paragraph posts, I have to say its a change from normal, but some (if not all, I haven't read it all) of the story is fantastic. What counts as activity? Because so far I've spent my entire time here reading through plots and posts. I admit I should probably be reading a book, however once I'm hooked on something, I'm hooked. (Case in point, Damn you Blizzard entertainment. And pretty soon Mythic.) Am I required to get the character roster and vault stuff sorted right away, or can I float around for [Period of time here] until I'm in the flow of things? (Having read enough to satiate my desire to read any and all role play presented to me on this forum.) ---- In my head there was a lot of enthusiasm in the above post, however I'm such a sour, jaded bastard, for my age, that none got through. Just pretend that there is enthusiasm there, and that I'm not incapable of it. Oh, also, apologies for swearing. Question: All - Kazuya - 08-24-2008 Swearing is okay Hell, we've all got filthy mouths. Anyhoo, no rush on the character vault, just get it done when you're ready. In character activity is mostly consisting of busting out a 300 word (that's the minimum) roleplay every few weeks, its not a huge chunk to ask for, so I hope you have no problems with that. We lounge, alot, more often than we should, but don't take that as an invitation to drop completely into inactivity. And most of us take our writing seriously, seriously as in, we like to take our time, develop an enjoyable story, etc. That was vague as fuck though, but I hope that answered your questions. ^^ Question: All - Druu - 08-24-2008 Following post contains ramble. Ramble tags included for reader safety. Woop! It'll probably take me a few days just to get to grips with the RP style, however I luuuuuuuuurve running away with threads on the style of forum I'm used to, so three hundred words will be a piece of cake. [Ramble] Where was I going with this? I got distracted by Firefox underlining text with red lines. It underlined Firefox with a red line because of the spelling plug in I have. Oh right, it wanted me to capitalize. If you can't tell already, there should be a block between thinking and typing in my brain thats distinctly absent. Thankfully unlike when I'm talking, I can delete stuff, 'ere. However instead of doing so, so I don't feel like I'm wasting my life by typing stuff that only I will ever read, because I've deleted it after my fingers stop, I opted for ramble tags. Woohoo! I'm rambling. Kay, well, I'm quite obviously nervous. Chubbz is BIG. I feel like an out of towner that just walked into a major city with no idea where he is going. OH! Yeah, I was gonna point out that I don't think three hundred words will be a problem for me, considering I write more than that every day over freaking MSN. >-> There's another question coming here somewhere, but as I've forgotten it, and my fingers lack the capacity to stop moving. Unless I hit a full stop. [Five minute pause to test this theory.] Ah hah! That was it. [/Ramble] Character vault, and Roster, I've tried looking at other people's stuff, and I've paroosed the information threads that I can find on what I should be doing here. Assuming I'm not just pants on head retarded , I canne find what I need to do. Question: All - Kazuya - 08-24-2008 For the character vault, just browse through other people's stuff in the CV, put whatever you want people to know about your character, history, best moves, etc. etc. As for the roster, we'll take care of that. ^^ Question: All - Ander - 08-24-2008 The first thing to do is set up your roster, which you'll need for training. All you have to do is set up your stats, which you can learn about here. You can begin training to boost your stats and earn zeni once you start role-playing. You can learn about training here. Getting your roster is simple: make a post in the Updates forum with some basic information. Quote:Personal Information (you do not have to include this if you don't want to) As for Character Vault rules, read those here. Question: All - Druu - 08-25-2008 You guys are helpful. This is alien to me. I would give a serious reply entailing that I have read everything and am working on it. (I am, but I'd have been more specific) If I wasn't currently splitting my sides about this: Burter Wrote:Okay, shut up and give me the rank scale, fag. Anyway I'm being pretty annoying, but I'm hyper actively nervous about getting this wrong, making a complete ass of myself, before I even start. [Primary Objective Failed - Abort mission] Bugger. Bardock Wrote:The first thing to do is set up your roster, which you'll need for training. All you have to do is set up your stats, which you can learn about here. Err. Yeah, that link provided right there sends me to this. Question: All - Ander - 08-25-2008 Oh, that's right. Once you're a registered member you can't see the Joining forum anymore. My bad. You already set up your distribution at an even 100 a-piece right? Well, if you need the rules again, here they are: Raditzu Wrote:With the introduction of custom character, players will no longer be able to join as the standard, canon DBZ characters. Question: All - Kazuya - 08-25-2008 Yeah, uh, Bar that's in the join forum, regular members can't see in there, I don't believe. <.< This is what that post has, Druu. Raditzu Wrote: Bardock Wrote: Quote:With the introduction of custom character, players will no longer be able to join as the standard, canon DBZ characters.Hope that helps ^^ EDIT: =P Bardock Question: All - Druu - 08-25-2008 So now that I've actually been approved, I'm no longer allowed to view the joining form... unless I log out, and look at it... as a guest?.. *Tilts head* Well thank you for the quotes, I'll work off them. Awesomesauce. Now, I'm sure as sure can be that there is a description for what all of the attributes equate to somewhere, I'm going to rush off now and find that. No one is that balanced to be 100 a piece, unless they're like... some kind of fictional character thats like... designed to be... Ohwait. Well, to hell with it! I'm going to go see if I can brake the 100train regardless. Lets go find that post. Okay, I found it and forgot to hit post on this post, so now about half of what I've said is pointless. To bolster the usefulness of my random shamble of words, I'm going to take a stab at the form you posted, and slap it in this post. That way (if its okay with you guys) you can point out the mistake that I will, or by some miracle of the aligned planets and God, do not make. ------------- Personal Information E-mail: W_W_C_N_D@hotmail.com ((Easy way to remember my email, is as a question; What would Chuck Norris do, at hotmail.com?)) ICQ: Negativo. AIM: N/A Character Information Species: Half Sayian Half Human Planet: Of birth: Vegeta. Of residence: Earth. Fighting Style: -Ngrgg, this is the hurdle I fell at. Do I give a few words, a sentence, a paragraph description, or a long, hopefully notasrambolicasthispost explanation?- Stats (read the stat link above to learn how to distribute these) Strength: 125 Constitution: 125 Agility: 100 Insight: 50 Technique: 100 Willpower: 100 Question: All - Ander - 08-25-2008 Fighting style is just essentially how your character fights, which can be a few short words, like the example I gave, or a few short sentences. How does your character fight? Does he rely on speed? Is he dirty and cheap? Things like that. Just make it short. Question: All - Druu - 08-25-2008 So... Personal Information E-mail: W_W_C_N_D@hotmail.com ((Easy way to remember my email, is as a question; What would Chuck Norris do, at hotmail.com?)) ICQ: Negativo. AIM: N/A Character Information Species: Half Sayian Half Human Planet: Of birth: Vegeta. Of residence: Earth. Fighting Style: Druu relies on well directed force and aggression. Druu uses his surprising resilience (for his size) to trick opponents into using risky strategy. Druu favors a well placed blow, over a high powered one. Stats Strength: 125 Constitution: 125 Agility: 100 Insight: 50 Technique: 100 Willpower: 100 Now, this leads me to my stats. I've tried to make his fighting style reflect his stats, as he was trained by battling with no previous training. The way I understand it, he would have a low insight because he has always managed to survive every trap he has fallen in to. He has a higher constitution because he gets beaten up a lot (Cause of falling in to traps) and he has higher than average strength because he's a half Saiyan and enjoys fighting, not to mention does it a lot. Does this look the ticket? Question: All - Ander - 08-25-2008 That works. Question: All - Druu - 08-25-2008 Thanks for your help, I'll go make that post in the updates section now. |
