virus - Celena - 11-08-2008 Is it just my laptop, or is this board sending virus's to everyone? virus - Dehan - 11-08-2008 I sure as hell hope not. O.o it may be your laptop buddy. virus - Orion - 11-08-2008 I get them too. AVG picks it up as a threat. It stopped for a while, but it's coming back again. It's not a real virus. It's just something about the boards. Do you only get them when you log in? Because if it is, you're all good. virus - Celena - 11-08-2008 No, not just when I log in. I get the virus alert when I enter any forum, even when replying to topics. Basically, all the time. It's ridiculous. I really hope this is nothing serious or else I'd have to avoid this board altogether. virus - Vad - 11-08-2008 One of the PHP scripts has a .JS tag. Its a script. Thus most virus programs pick it up as a Redirector Trojan. My Virus Log. To prove it. 11/7/2008 6:11:14 PM SYSTEM 1564 Sign of "JS:Redirector-B [Trj]" has been found in "http://www.cdbzrpg.com/forum/clientscript/vbulletin_post_loader.js?v=374" file. Annoying. Yet harmless. I turned off my detection for this site. EDIT: Like I thought, A dot JS file extension is a Java Script file. Unless its corrupt. We're fine. virus - Kazuya - 11-08-2008 Its a harmless file that deals with redirects and somehow is being read as a threat for certain virus scanners. We are aware of the problem, and fixed it, but it seems it has reappeared again. We are working on fixing it once more. Thanks for your patience, Bardock (Via Violet) virus - Waffuru - 11-08-2008 Baldwin Glendale Wrote:One of the PHP scripts has a .JS tag. Its a script. It shouldn't be alerting you to that script, I'm not sure why it would. virus - Vad - 11-08-2008 My guess is as good as yours Waffle. I've got it 'safelisted'. virus - Sage - 11-10-2008 Got worse. Now my detector's going crazy. I just safelisted like 15 items and it's still going haywire. virus - Vad - 11-10-2008 Yeah, the java scripts are being somehow seen as Redirector Trojans. >.> virus - Waffuru - 11-10-2008 If you PM me anything that it marks as a virus I'll check it out and re-upload the version I know for sure is clean. Not sure what the deal is but I'd like to have this sorted out. virus - Celena - 11-11-2008 No more alerts. Waff, you're my hero. virus - Sage - 11-11-2008 I'll gather what Avast! decides is evil and send it to you shortly, Waff. If I forget, yell at me. virus - Ashe - 11-12-2008 Just a heads up, antiviruses will mark "redirect scripts" as a redirect virus because they are essentially the same thing. The antivirus can't really tell if the script is redirecting you to something good or redirecting you to something bad, so it flags it just in case. virus - Sage - 11-12-2008 It shouldn't though. They are supposed to be able to differentiate between them. virus - Alexander Trafford - 11-24-2008 is this back for anyone else? virus - Celena - 11-25-2008 Yeah. virus - Sage - 11-25-2008 Yarp. virus - Ander - 11-25-2008 Confirmed that it's back. No more need reply until Waff has available time. virus - Waffuru - 11-25-2008 wtf Taking a look at it now. |
