[04] Stats - Ander - 12-31-2008 STATS
This is a very simple and easy system to understand. There are four actual stats: Strength, Focus, Endurance, and Agility. The fifth and final thing you’ll see listed under your stats is Combat Ability, which is the overall ranking of your character’s fighting strength.
Quote:Strength: 25%Obviously, that character favors speed over attack power and defense. You decide your stats based on how you like your character to fight, or your personal preference of style. You can have a higher percentage for one aspect of battle or keep them all balanced. It’s up to you! Once you pick your percentage distribution, these stats do not change. Combat Ability As stated before, this is the overall measurement of your character’s fighting strength. It’s a measuring stick that helps determine the stronger warrior when two or more are compared together, as well as it governs just how powerful you really are. Each character starts off with a CA of 500. Combat Ability is comprised of the XP you have pumped into it, and any items you’ve equipped with CA-increasing effects. Items only offer benefits so long as they are equipped to one of your Head, Body, or Accessory slots. Combat Ability is only permanently increased through the earning of XP itself. Your Combat Ability may also be multiplied through the earned use of Power Ups, although this is just temporary, lasting only as long as you are in a transformed state. The distribution of your overall strength is reflected by the percentage of each of the four stats. For example, if two characters had an Agility of 60%, the one with the higher Combat Ability moves faster. Power Points and Power-Ups Unlike the other four stats, Power Points can be constantly changing. Power Points can be spent in order to activate Power-Ups, giving your character increased strength in combat. Once a Power-Up is activated, Power Points are immediately drained from a character and a Power-Up can only be activated if the character has enough Power Points stored. In addition to Power-Ups, it is possible to craft Custom Techs that draw on Power Points to greatly increase their strength. Once a Power-Up is activated, it will last until the current threat has either been resolved or is no longer the focus of your character's attention. For example, if your character finds themselves fighting back a zombie horde and activates a Power-Up, it will last until the zombie horde has either been defeated, or your character has escaped. If, after winning or running, you character then comes across a big bad guy, your character would either have to pay the PP cost of their Power-Up again or return to their base form. Aside from the Regeneration Ability, Power Points do not regenerate on their own. The only way to recover PP is through the use of consumable items that are available in the shop. Be warned, however, a character can not hold more than 3 PP-restoring items at any one time. Other Techniques and Abilities -- such as Ki Absorption, Venomous Ki, and Healing -- may be used to affect the PP of other characters. There are only two situations where a Power-Up costs no Power Points. The first is while in the Afterlife. The second is when in a personal storyline; in a personal story, however, using a Power-Up against another player will still cost PP. |
