CA question - Sol - 01-05-2009 Quote:As stated before, this is the overall measurement of your character’s fighting strength. It’s a measuring stick that helps determine the stronger warrior when two or more are compared together, as well as it governs just how powerful you really are. Each character starts off with a CA of 500. Combat Ability is comprised of the XP you have pumped into it, and any items you’ve equipped with CA-increasing effects. Items only offer benefits so long as they are equipped to one of your Head, Body, or Accessory slots. In order to permanently increase your Combat Ability, you must spend XP for it. Your Combat Ability may also be multiplied through the earned use of Power Ups, although this is just temporary, lasting only as long as you are in a transformed state. Does this mean you can directly deposit XP into your CA? If so is a direct deposit into your CA more effective at raising it than the increase you'd receive from buying a tech? CA question - Sage - 01-05-2009 Nope. While I'm sure we'd allow you to spend XP on nothing but CA, you'd get no extra benefit from it. Better to save for techs. CA question - Sol - 01-05-2009 Ok, thanks
CA question - Kaden - 01-05-2009 It's just awkwardly phrased. I meant to change it the other day (someone else brought this up to me on AIM) and just forgot. CA question - Ander - 01-07-2009 Re-phrased. My apologies. CA question - Jack - 01-07-2009 Sage Wrote:Nope. There's a point where I will be fine with the amount of techniques (custom and regular) that I have. What then? CA question - Alura - 01-07-2009 Then just keep roleplaying until you eventually think of more that you want to get. Or stop roleplaying. I find it funny that you of all people are asking. CA question - Sol - 01-07-2009 Bil Baer Jaxx Wrote:There's a point where I will be fine with the amount of techniques (custom and regular) that I have. What then? That's as a pretty valid question. Not every character is designed to be an almighty versatile god of every magical powers. It would probably be in long term interest to make an alternate way to spend XP eventually. Not an immediate concern, but something to think about. CA question - Waffuru - 01-07-2009 I wouldn't worry about running out of things to buy. There are already expansions in progress for Chubbs. CA question - Kaden - 01-07-2009 We get that there are certain concerns, but I strongly suggest not worrying about what to do with left-over XP until you actually have left-over XP. CA question - Sol - 01-07-2009 Waffuru Wrote:I wouldn't worry about running out of things to buy. There are already expansions in progress for Chubbs. That's pretty much all I needed to hear. CA question - Ashe - 01-08-2009 Waffuru Wrote:I wouldn't worry about running out of things to buy. There are already expansions in progress for Chubbs. This. We have already taken notice of the issue (quite a few weeks ago actually) and are discussing various implementations regarding future ways to spend XP. We'd like to keep you with incentive to roleplay without giving you so much at one time that you feel that in order to be competitive you must have everything at once. So we kinda want to introduce a few elements over time. Exactly what those elements are has yet to be concretely decided upon, but we have a couple of things on the table. We also are watching a bit to get a good grasp on how much average xp is accumulated once this initial post rush has settled, to help us decide a few things. So by continuing doing what you guys are doing, you are helping us to get a feel on the xp rate.
