So I have the skeletal beginnings of a company I'm starting that I wish to advertise to the people of Chubbs in order to gain either support or artists to it. The ad won't contain any links to any other site less the ones designated from photobucket for images, adhering to guidelines already set in place. Permission please?

Hey Ares, if it has to do with the linked thread, you might want to keep in mind that receiving a Cease and Desist for copyright infringement won't be a surprise. Most of the time they don't go after people that do minor things like sell 1-UP mushroom keychains and stuff for fun, but if it grows enough and they see possibly financial gains for themselves from it, they might go after you. As an example, Blizzard has been wrecking all addons that want to charge for them or any well known unlicensed online shops that try to sell things (some craft things can get away with it, but if they become popular than Blizz lawyers get up their throat and order them to stop). WotC has also been interrupting any part of the market that isn't directly buying and selling specific cards. (aka using their imagery for sales purposes, such as printing out massive posters or something to sell).

There's also the option of trying to gain permission to use the "images" so I'll call them. If he can get in touch with the right people, he could get written consent. I'd imagine they'd want a fee though. Maybe they'd want to make his business a subsidiary of their franchise.
Who knows, they could offer to give him a support to lean on, fund building the company. I'm sure making life size anime/game objects would profitable for any company. Plus, they wouldn't need to hire labor, Chris could do it, they might save cash going through him.
