Sooooo, anyone interested in getting involved with a new MMORPG before things are even started? I found this game while looking around upcoming MMO's and it caught my interest. The big deal for me is that, unlike most of the MMO's out today, Earthrise is a skill-driven game. This means that instead of separate "classes" to pick from, everyone starts out with similar basic stats and a huge amount of skills to train in. The more you use a skill (i.e. a combat style or crafting technique) the higher it gets. This makes it so that each player chooses what's important to their character on their own. This is really similar to a game I played ages ago, Ultima Online, before it went downhill. Anyway, I'm already have a position as a Squad Leader in an RP encouraging Mercenary Guild. Check it out.
