The Witcher - Cain - 07-17-2009 This wildly popular game is apparently not a part of our board. Any reason why? I'll comment on it when it arrives. The Witcher - Sage - 07-17-2009 Well, Yahtzee said it was horrible and that we shouldn't play it. We all take him very, very seriously. In truth, though, it's a PC game, rite? My PC is powered on coal and broken dreams. Neither of which can push electricity fast enough to run such a high-demand game. The Witcher - Cain - 07-17-2009 It'll be multi-console soon. But PC it is. It's based on the Aurora engine by Bioware, at least on the P.C. Baldur's Gate was officially horrible, but I'm hoping this will be awesome. The Witcher - Tyr - 07-17-2009 What, this game is ancient news, why did this come up now? It's a game where you're a monster hunter that gets laid an awful lot like a mini-game you collect small cards of them flashing their bosoms. The Witcher - Kaden - 07-17-2009 I had fun with it. My only real complaint was how useless the Signs always seemed to be. It was way more worthwhile to put points into the sword styles instead of the stupid wanna-be magic. That said, I never actually got all of them, so it's possible they end up rocking everyone's shit. And wtf, Cain. Baldur's Gate is awesome. You just have to have more patience than the average FPS fan. The Witcher - Sage - 07-17-2009 Kaden Wrote:I had fun with it. My only real complaint was how useless the Signs always seemed to be. Thank you. I was about to commit murder. Over a video game. How pathetic would that have been? Prefer BGII, though. Irenicus is an epic villain. The Witcher - Cain - 07-18-2009 BG2 was the one I had. It was slow and the graphics were terrible compared to others like BG2 (D & D2). But playing wc3 before this game may have had effects on those complaints. I also didn't know what I was doing for the majority of the time I spent playing it. Someone dies, there's like a thief guild, if you kill people in town the order comes and arrests you. All I remember. The Witcher - Orion - 07-18-2009 Kaden Wrote:I had fun with it. My only real complaint was how useless the Signs always seemed to be. The magic was really only a backup ability. It was best to rely heavily on the swords, and if you needed a little extra damage, you used the signs. The Ignis (fire) Sign was good if only for the burning damage. But yeah, it's a worthwhile game to play. The Witcher - Kole T. Merr - 07-18-2009 Cain Wrote:BG2 was the one I had. The Witcher - Kaden - 07-18-2009 I think he meant to say that it was inferior to other games that were, themselves, like the game he was talking about. The Witcher - Kole T. Merr - 07-18-2009 Oh, okay. Just slightly confused by the wording. Anywho, I remember hearing a lot about this game a while ago, but then nothing. The Witcher - Kaden - 07-18-2009 I absolutely loved (in a horrible way, of course) how they turned wooing the women into a gotta catch 'em all mini-game. The Witcher - Sage - 07-18-2009 It's Pokemon Snap! TRIPLE X! The Witcher - Tyr - 07-18-2009 My favorite part was how despite everyone hated him, he always nailed the women and somehow created an awkward situation for everyone else around him while doing so. "OH NO IT'S THE MONSTER IN THE MILL, HEAR IT MOAN!" I mean, he has sex with a dryad. She's not even human. The Witcher - Vad - 07-18-2009 Yahtzee can go bust his cherry in a wall socket. The Witcher was a great game. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and characters. The lightning spell and flame spell were the most damaging and useful moves. *makes a rude gesture* The Witcher - Kaden - 07-19-2009 Yeah. dude. You should totally take Yahtzee seriously. The Witcher - Sage - 07-19-2009 Absolutely. He doesn't kid around. The Witcher - Tyr - 07-19-2009 Especially in that Duke Nukem review. He was the essence of serious. The Witcher - Cain - 07-21-2009 Scratch the multi-console thing. That was unofficially canceled. The good news is the sequel is supposed to multi-console. |
