Also let it be known that I have always thought that Wayne Rooney was overrated. I always laugh when people put him just behind Messi and Ronaldo in terms of the best in the world, I mean seriously, he's not even in their league.

On principle I root for the American side. They should already have one foot in the second round, and they would if it wasn't for that referee. That was a bullshit call, end of story. If anything he had half a foot offside. You don't make a game-changing, or a tournament changing call in that situation.
But I'm quite interested in the South American teams, who haven't lost a game yet. Any of them. South American teams are 8-0-2 in the World Cup thus far. But I am most intrigued by Chile. They are just balls-to-the-wall offensive speed and pressure.

I actually fancy our chances, Germany have been quite impressive in the group stage, but they lack big game players and experience imo. I reckon against a strong, difficult to breakdown team like England, they'll come unstuck.

The Germany in the tourny isn't the same Germany 4 years ago or in Euro 2008. Also, they play a similar style game to England so it'll be easier for us to break them down. If you watched their match against Ghana you'd have saw how many chances they let Ghana have. If Ghana had better finishers, they could have easily beaten the Germans. Those are the reasons why I believe England will beat Germany.
