Ahem... a rejoin. >_< - Indigo Towers - 06-19-2010 (Yes. I'm back....... again.) Name: Indigo Towers Age: 70 (appears 22) Race: Changeling/android (Changeling dominant) Sex: Female Starting Planet: Earth Profession: Thief Fighting Style: Her demons maker her aggressive (almost brutal), though her thievery makes her calculative. Short Bio: Indigo was a normal, relatively insignificant, changeling child born to a young mother, only seventeen years old. Despite the young age of her mother Indigo was loved, however she never felt good about herself due to money issues she felt she caused. Her desire to make money for her family sparked her dream of being a wealthy and beautiful woman, a woman of power and vanity. But this was a distant dream. In reality, she worked as an escort, getting someone or thing from point a to b safely. This paid poorly as she didn’t have the stamina or strength to run with the big guns. Eventually by thirty-three she was poor and still living with her mother and father. Then her brother was born, killing her mother in the process and sending her into a depressed anger. Indigo decided to leave her family after her depression nearly killed her. She had had enough of the life she lived and wanted to start new. But this opportunity did not truly come till she was sixty-five when she heard of a radical procedure that would revitalize her youth, change her physical capabilities, and changed her voice due to new vocal chords (she desired a more elegant feminine voice). She jumped on board, and after two long years, was part android. Stronger, faster, and younger looking, she was unrecognizable. And all she had to show from her procedure was a bar code tattoo that would never work, and a small scar across her neck. Indigo, despite her demons, felt good for once. She set off to pursue her dreams and has since begun singing and dancing accompanied by tennis and yoga (to keep slim). In addition she dropped her job as an escort and started in the line of thievery, in the hopes it would bring her riches and she would one day be the one being escorted. This unfortunately led to a small problem of kleptomania, only really becoming an issue when faced with riches she could not have. General Description: Indigo is a tall girl, approximately 6’8”. Her skin is mocha brown and she has ruby red hair. As a result of her becoming part android (and an accident during the transformation) she had her left eye replaced with a cybernetic one, leaving her with a blue eye on the right, and a green eye on the left. She sports a flickering tattoo, thanks to her changeling skin reacting to the ink, on her upper back. She has scar on her neck in front of her vocal chords from the transformation as well (she usually covers it up with makeup or cloth). Starting Abilities: Ki Specialization, Immaterial Trait: Tenacious Stats: · Strength - 25% · Focus - 30% · Endurance - 15% · Agility - 30% Role-play Sample: As the sun floated lazily over the cityscape and readied itself for the darkness an old woman was preparing her own bed. She gingerly hopped down the stairs of the large apartment she was living in and went directly to the kitchen. A late night dinner and warm glass of tea would put her to sleep nicely. She stopped however at a mirror hanging in the hallway beside the landing and bent down a little to examine her reflection. She was just as beautiful as ever, never once thinking of herself as a septuagenarian she reveled in the fact that no one else did either, they didn’t have to know. This woman, Indigo Towers, may be sixty-seven but she looked twenty-two. Her procedure to become part android made sure of that, and no one had the faintest idea. Indigo looked at her thick curls and fluffed them with her palm while making sure her nose wasn’t shiny. All was in place, but she stared momentarily at herself and the sunset reflected from the large sliding door on the other side of the room. It’s blazing light muffled by the silhouette of the city blasted forth it’s reds and pinks, like fingers pulling a dark cover over the land. It glared against Indigo’s ruby hair and she marveled at how it amplified the color. Indigo grinned at herself and left the mirror, thinking of her nighttime routine. The woman would first create a small meal, possibly a salad, and then set aside beauty products in the bathroom for her skin regimen while water boiled in a kettle. If all was in place there would be enough time to wash and tone and moisturize with enough time to pour the water in the cup to steep her tea, two tea bags as the life of excess called for it. Indigo decided to skip her night time meal with the thought that it would be wiser to not indulge in her every desire to eat. Instead she gabbed the kettle from the stove top and poured the remaining water into the drain before refilling it. Once it was on the fire she made her way to the washroom, feeling her nose for any severely clogged pores. Thankfully there were none. The bathroom was a disgusting combination of pink, brown, and blue. A horrific splatter pattern covered almost everything but the counter, products, and toilet. She decided to put her effort into not noticing the abuse her eyes were being subjected to and pay more attention to where the products she needed were. They were either going to be in the larger cabinet below the sink, behind the mirror above it, or they had been taken when the family the owned the place left for vacation, Indigo was praying for one of the formers. Opening mirror up above the sink Indigo was greeted with a surplus of over the counter medications, a few prescription meds. and a thermometer. Abandoning the mirror she squatted down to examine the contents of the largest cabinet. Within was a set of various creams and powders and a black electronic safe. Suddenly she was faced with a dilemma. The safe seemed so tantalizing and inexplicably expensive that she wanted to have whatever was inside. But she had gone some time without proper face care that she longed for a deep clean and moisturizer. The woman contemplated this for a few seconds before deciding that her face could survive, but her fingers needed to feel the rough surface of the black box in front of her. She yanked the box from the cabinet and placed it with a loud thud on the counter. Her excitement was difficult to contain and she had a wide grin across her entire face. She had one opportunity to input the code and withdraw its contents for her own. Her heart was pounding with anticipation as she gently ran her hands over the surface of the box. As her fingers gently touched the plastic buttons, contemplating what the code could be a family or two was exiting the elevator. And as she remembered seeing a birthday on the calendar hanging in the pantry a few days ago said family was approaching the door to the apartment she was in. Indigo touched the number eight as a key slid into the locked door, she didn’t even have time to hear the small clicking of added defences within the safe before her thief mentality came full swing. The sound of the key had traveled down the acoustic hallway and she was immediately in the kitchen turning the heat off on the stove, the more it looked like nothing had moved the better chance the family would think the invader had left. To make sure she grabbed a chef knife as the door swung open to the hallway and cut the phone line, removing the cordless receiver and shoving it down the breast of her dress. A sigh emanated from the hall, short but long enough to indicate it was moving closer. Indigo jumped onto the counter as quietly as she could and jumped again, reaching up to the banister of the second level that traveled overtop the kitchen. Using both hands to quickly pull herself up and over the wooden banister she thumped gently against the ground making sure to absorb as much of the impact as possible. And she waited. Despite her heartbeat pounding in her ear she could still make out the happenings of the lower level. There was very little time between the sigh of comfort and the gasp of shock most likely at the realization that someone had been there before they arrived. Indigo briefly stopped to concider why they were two days early, but quickly abandoned the thought. Getting out was paramount. They knew someone was still there, by the sounds of it the safe had a timer to indicate when it had been triggered, a clever addition that Indigo didn’t expect. But the now panicked woman below was repeating this fact to the man who was shushing her and whispering. A minute at the most is what Indigo gave herself, a minute at the most before the man was past the lower level and climbing the stairs. She quickly gathered her thoughts and ran into the room, jumping over the bed and flinging open the dresser. She removed the phone from her breasts and quickly shoved it into a pair of jeans as her other hand pulled her dress up and off her. The rushing woman ripped a hoodie off one of the many hangers and threw it on; it fell just above her belly button. She grabbed the jeans with the phone and half jumped into them, they became shorts. Thankfully though she was not male and thus had room to move in them. She shoved her dress into the stomach of the hoodie, adjusting it to look as much like a beer gut as possible. She didn’t bother pulling her hair out of the hoodies grasp and pulled the hood over her head and adopted a heavy slouch, shortening her by a good three inches. With all her clothes in place she ran back out onto the upper walkway leading to the stairs, sure enough the man was tentatively making his way up. Indigo had her head down and could only see his feet stepping from the last step onto the level. His face, as she imagined, was one of shock and horror. No time to dwell though, the woman turned and jumped off the banister, gingerly squatting down and jumping over the dinner table towards the sliding door. Behind her came horrified scream, as if she was about to kill them both as opposed to running the other way. Stupid girl was making to much fuss and probably attracting some company from across the hall outside by now. Indigo quickly slid the door open and jumped onto the balcony, stopping momentarily before jumping down. Though she turned her body to make sure to catch the balcony below, she had to get back to the upper level above quickly. Tossing the phone from her pocket down to the cement below as soon as she was safely on solid cement Indigo continued her run by jumping to the adjacent balcony and running through the apartment that it was attached to, not caring if the people saw her thanks to her impromptu disguise. The moment she was out in the hallway she immediately turned to the stairs, slowly opening the door a crack to see if there were cameras in her view, she saw none and decided it would be safe enough to risk. In the stairwell, which was as she guessed camera less, she quickly tore her outfit off and slithered into her dress once again, suddenly becoming upset because she didn’t think to take some heels. With this eating away at her she threw the ‘borrowed’ clothes down the shaft of the stairwell, not bothering to see if they hit bottom. She slowly climbed the stairs trying to catch what breath she had lost and pulled open the door to the level she had just run from. Neighbors were already consoling the woman and the man appeared to have been unable to find a phone to call the police. The woman who emerged from the stairs turned and walked down a hallway towards the laundry room and one lone apartment. She knocked loudly on the laundry room door and waited. After a short time she turned around and rejoined the chaos only to catch the elevator. Indigo made sure they heard her ruing the fact that her date wasn’t home when they had planned as she got onto the lift. Pushing main floor there was a glimpse of one women looking at her, Indigo rolled her eyes and made a snide comment on how her date wasn’t her type anyways, pretending not to have noticed the stare. The elevator closed and the mocha-skinned girl sighed deeply. The elevator camera saw her leaving the same floor she came off of last, the people didn’t recognize her, and the clothes were going to be gone when someone picked them up. But she didn’t have high heels. P.S.: The CoolSpice account is still up and running, figured that it can now be destroyed.
