Candy - Josh - 06-21-2010 So I only realized this now, but it seems a lot of the candy we have up here doesn't make it's way to the states so I am kind of curious as to what you guys have tried and possibly see some of the mainstream candy you have that we don't. Anyway here's some of the main stream stuff here: ![]() Crispy Crunch is a flaky toffee centre covered in chocolate, it's kind of similar to a butterfinger. ![]() Pretty self-explanatory ![]() ![]() Kind of like a big Kit-Kat with coffee flavour ![]() Like M&M's but flatter with a harder candy shell. ![]() These are really good, not so much a chocolate bar as a chewy-stretchy nut bar. It's made from dark-toffee, chocolate, and nuts. It's not covered in chocolate, rather the chocolate and dark-toffee are mixed together to create this dark kind of taffy looking thing and then mixed with peanuts. It's stretchy and chewy. ![]() Wuuuuunderbar! Very delicious, it's got a gooey centre made of caramel, nuts, and rice crisps covered in chocolate. ![]() And this is a Crunchie bar, not that great- some people like it. It's got a toffee centre. Candy - Psyren - 06-21-2010 Wunderbar and Caramilk I have had before but I had to order it offline. A buddy of miine gave me some he had brought back from over in europe on his before college vacation. After I had some I had to order a box or two. Candy - Kole T. So you had to like disable your network connections to order it? That's weird. Anywho. One of the not really mainstream candies we have in the states are Zots. They're little hard candies that when you get far enough through the shell start fizzing in your mouth. Fun stuff. I also enjoy Jolly Ranchers: Fruit-flavored hard candy that are delicious. I fucking love sour apple. Candy - Josh - 06-21-2010 Metal Teemer Wrote:So you had to like disable your network connections to order it? That's weird. I'm pretty sure we have zots in Canada, we definitely have Jolly Ranchers. Candy - Kami - 06-21-2010 I can find Aero bars in the states but they are never cheap. I love Aero bars =(
Candy - Orion - 06-21-2010 Smarties, Crunchies and Aeros are all easily obtainable in Australia. Candy - Josh - 06-21-2010 Kami Wrote:I can find Aero bars in the states but they are never cheap. I love Aero bars =( Aero's are pretty good, we have them in numerous flavors. Orion Wrote:Smarties, Crunchies and Aeros are all easily obtainable in Australia. That's cause Canada and Australia are like cousins. Candy - Pinky - 06-21-2010 Snicker's Ice Cream Bar. A Snickers with ice cream instead of nugetty whatever. Kept in freezers with the rest of the icy snacks, so you won't see them in the candy area. That's the Weight-Watchers' version. AMERICA FUCK YEAH Candy - Mr. Zhu - 06-21-2010 Josh you forgot Mr. Big!!!! Candy - Ashe - 06-21-2010 Something that's becoming increasingly popular in the US that I've been obsessed with since a kid, and have gotten numerous friends hooked on, is Toblerone. http://www.toblerone.com/ Candy - Josh - 06-21-2010 Ashe Wrote:Something that's becoming increasingly popular in the US that I've been obsessed with since a kid, and have gotten numerous friends hooked on, is Toblerone. That's available here in Canada too, you can get them at Shoppers. Mr. Zhu Wrote:Josh you forgot Mr. Big!!!! Isn't that available in the states? Candy - Mr. Zhu - 06-21-2010 Josh Wrote:Isn't that available in the states? No idea. Is it? Candy - Super Buu - 06-21-2010 Crunchie, Smarties, Aero and Toblerone are all real easy to find over here in Britain, the rest I haven't heard of (though I might just not know of em). Candy - Josh - 06-21-2010 Greg Wrote:Crunchie, Smarties, Aero and Toblerone are all real easy to find over here in Britain, the rest I haven't heard of (though I might just not know of em). Caramilk bars are called Dairy Milk: Caramel Bars in the UK.
Candy - Super Buu - 06-21-2010 Only for a couple years now, they used to just be 'Caramel'. Guess it was too generic. Candy - Josh - 06-21-2010 Greg Wrote:Only for a couple years now, they used to just be 'Caramel'. Guess it was too generic. Yeah, oh and apparently what we call Wunderbar is actually this in the UK: ![]() Here is some more unique goodies. ![]() Chocolate covered Turkish Delight, nom nom. AND ![]() Delicious Ketchup Chips. Candy - Mr. Zhu - 06-21-2010 Oh right, I remember Big Turk. I just made a smart comment about it the other day with my Turkish friend. Something about the Ottoman Empire.. Candy - Psyren - 06-21-2010 ketchup chips are so ballin Candy - Kami - 06-21-2010 I had a Tolberone in Switzerland. Somehow that made it better. Plus it was enormous. Candy - Tyr - 06-21-2010 We just got Oreos, but Toblerone we've had forever. Don't know that much of the rest, not a bar man myself. |
