The Savior of Rap - Aero - 06-29-2010

Okay, I've been listening to this unsigned rapper for quite a while now. He's from Baltimore, MD; so naturally I was attracted to his accent (no homo) seeing that we're both natives of the harbor city.

But with every new mixtape he comes out with, he only solidifies himselfas being on of the best rappers in hip-hop, and he's not even signed.

He has the lyrical mastermind of Nas, the metaphors of Lil' Wayne, Killa Cam's flow, and the swagger of Drake.

I've concluded that he is at least in the top5 rappers in the game right now, and he doesn't even have a contract.

Reminds me of Lupe Fiasco. He's not better than Lupe though IMO.

Los is more versatile. Similiar lyrically. Los has a slight upperhand in punchlines. Flow is similiar as well.

The Savior of Rap - Belle Hibiki - 07-02-2010

Hey guys remember when people hailed Kanye West's The College Dropout as the fucking awesome and future of rap

how's that working out

The Savior of Rap - Aero - 07-02-2010

Los has 5 mixtapes. The worst song on any of the albums would be better a Kanye hit.

This kid Los is still hungry, so he still has motivation

The Savior of Rap - Dehan - 07-02-2010

I was hungry, the only thing I was motivated to do was cook dinner ba dum dum bish!

The Savior of Rap - Celena - 07-03-2010

Still unfunny.

I lol'd. Lil' Wayne and Drake are horrible examples to pull for ANYTHING. Killa Cam is aight at best. Nas is quite amazing, and after listening to Los, I disagree with that statement.

The Savior of Rap - Celena - 07-03-2010

Yeah, he reminded me of Lupe, but not any of the people Aero mentioned - in any way.

The Savior of Rap - Shou - 07-03-2010

More Big L than Nas. Reminds me NOTHING of Lupe. His flow is more like Drake's than anything having to do with Cams. Otherwise he's pretty wicked to my ears.

Also Hiphop is in constant flux. No such thing as best anymore. Or saving it. It never died. Everything's constantly changing. If you aren't flexible you get nowhere in terms of music.

You know you giggled. Admit it.

As far as this guy goes...he's just a underground rapper?

The Savior of Rap - Lucifer - 07-06-2010

You are mistaken.

Easy mistake to make, I grant you.

Well, uh, he's helped produce music for Jay Z's Blueprint series, Alicia Keys, and Ludacris, he has won a cumulative 14 grammy awards and 47 total awards. Of his four albums, three have released at #1 in the U.S. He's had 12-14 hit singles.

Wait, found something else. Four studio albums, two live albums, 20 singles, 23 music videos, 3 DVDs, and 36 Features singles. (didn't feel like going back and editing). He's sold 11 million albums in the US and 20 million worldwide.

College Dropout was x2 platinum, Late registration was 3x platinum and was given a 5/5 rating by Rolling Stone (unheard of), Graduation almost went platinum in the first week and ultimately went x2 platinum, 808 and heartbreaks or whatever has gone platinum even after a complete musical overhaul.

Maybe he hasn't transformed rap, but he has transformed hip hop. So, looking at the numbers, I'm going to say that's working out pretty well.

The Savior of Rap - Jesper - 07-06-2010

Now he's that asshole who scared Taylor Swift on live TV. I call it a wash.

The Savior of Rap - Alexander Trafford - 07-06-2010

I don't think there is a single rap or hip hop star who, at one time or another, has not acted like a complete jackass. Eminem is an asshole, T.I. has been arrested twice, etc.

They seem to be doing alright.

The Savior of Rap - Psyren - 07-06-2010

TI is the man but for real...you cant get better than old skool snoop and wutang
