National Novel Writing Month
It's starting in 16 days, so sign up and start brainstorming, fools.
For those of you who don't know, the goal is to write a 50,000+ word fiction novel during the month of November. Quality is not an issue - they solely focus on quantity of words.

Piper has threatened bodily harm if I don't work on my book for this and thrust all of my person into doing it and I he keeps his promises. So I shall be writing as much as I can of my book.

If you're saying that to be derogatory, realize that the purpose of NaNoWriMo is not to create a good book. It's purpose is a communal effort to allow aspiring writers and hobbyists to push through all the second guessing and malaise of trying to create quality, and instead getting experience finishing something, or to simply challenge ones self the way you would by running a marathon and seeing how you do. Like a marathon the goal is more finishing than coming in first.
Plus having some light hearted fun with others.
