Let me make sure I completely understand. Are we allowed to spar simultaneously with an ongoing storyline, or while we're in a saga, and pretend it happened before/after in the continuity?

I wouldn't think so, but responses to other questions have left me sort of puzzle. I'm going to go look through the rules one more time, as well, to see if I missed it in there.

I believe we're allowing fluid time for spars at the moment, but the two characters sparring must have met each other for it to be valid. You can't randomly create a combat scenario.

Mmmmm. We can fluid time spars without that requirement, from what I was given the impression. It's basically a battle that happened at SOME point. You just have to be on the same planet.

But I could be wrong...

I was under the impression (Granted, this was back when I was staff) that you needed to have some kind of special circumstance to fluid time, like if you really needed to introduce an ability you just learned for use in the ongoing storyline.

To just be able to fluid time at any point you want without consequence kind of takes away the point of having locations and storylines. I could just fight everyone in the game, one by one, at the same time I'm learning my ability.

We changed it to help with activity. No one was sparring, not like the old days.

Yes.
