When it says it locks the one you had when you get another you can end up copying that same ability again right?

Also is this limited to abilities only or can it be a technique they purchased? (not a custom they made up)

It's limited to Abilities and yes. You can re-mimic the previous Ability to unlock your customs for it. Just know that you won't be able to automatically mimic it from memory or anything. You'll need to encounter someone with the ability you previously had all over again.

EDIT: For example. If Bob mimic's Ki Specialization from Clark and then makes some customs for it. He'll need to keep Ki Spec to keep those customs "unlocked." Say Bob meets Phil and likes that he can shoot fire from his hands. Bob mimic's Elemental Ki: Fire and replaces Ki Spec. Everything he made for Ki Spec is locked and unusable. Bob must re-encounter Clark or someone with Ki Spec to get it again.

Awesome that was my only big concern about the ability but you cleared that up real good. Makes it easy to understand.

I thought we couldnt make moves from Mimic?

Mimic? 0-o - Orion - 07-09-2011

You can't make custom moves about Mimic eg. I create one called Double Mimic which lets me cycle between two powers that I've stored. You can create custom moves from abilities that you have Mimiced eg. I can make Flamethrower if I steal Elemental Ki: Fire.
