Toonami - Sigfried Hunin - 01-21-2012

This thread is just about how much you miss it.
I have dreams about it.

It was the first "product" that made me feel like I had a place, like I belonged and I was supposed to be there in it's cold corporate arms, letting the flickering lights of long-old anime wash over me.

We all watched the good shows, the bad shows, the Sailor Moon, the Hamtaro, the Thundercats and DBZ. We watched Outlaw Star and Cowboy Bebop, Zoids (both of them).

I know there's a site that airs the same programming, but it's not the same.

I miss you, Toonami.

WHY DOES THIS LOOK FAMILIAR!?

Toonami - Belle Hibiki - 01-21-2012

Because it's Hexadecimal from Reboot, one of the all-time classics of the 90's?

Toonami was what got me watching anime. Wouldn't have known DBZ was a thing without it.

Agreed. It also introduced me to sexual themes via Robotech.

Cartoon Network has never been the same...

Toonami - Tyr - 01-22-2012

Back in my day, we didn't have Toonami and we saw the same episode of DBZ fucking three times because of reruns prior to the real episode and we were always unsure if it was the same episode of going "HNNNNNNGHHHH" or the next one.

Even toonami did that, but instead of rerunning each episode, they reran the whole season.

Toonami - Sigfried Hunin - 01-22-2012

D-double post.

yes. i remember it took an entire year to get through the saiyan saga on the local FOX station because they only played one or two new episodes a month. snake way might as well have been a billion trillion miles, goku was on it for so long

Toonami - Rafael - 01-22-2012

No Toonami, no me being here.
