LoM2 - Day Four - Ashe - 02-16-2012

Nidalee saw her prey in the distance, just slightly further out than the rest. "Purrrfect" she laughed to herself.

"WTF RP MORE FGT"

Ignoring them, she crept through the bushes, using her passive to bring her just slightly closer, lining it up, until... CLAMP! Her eyes opened wide.

"Kole T. Merr (Nidalee) (ALL): LAAAAAAG."

AN ENEMY HAS BEEN SLAIN!

"NO BACKUP WTF???"

"Kole T. Merr (Nidalee) (ALL): CAN ANYONE SEE THIS? LAGT EST WTF."

Kole T. Merr has been revealed to be Nidalee!

John Doe, controlling the townsperson LeBlanc, has been Executed!

It is now the Day Phase. 24 hours will conclude this Phase.

7 Players Remain! (4 votes for Majority)

LoM2 - Day Four - Rafael - 02-16-2012

Controlling the townsperson LeBlanc, huh? Well, shit. Leads, anyone?

LoM2 - Day Four - Tyr - 02-16-2012

Hmm, it's a townsperson with the ability to get someone killed (as JD happily talked about), so either he thinks he somehow controlled mafia into offing Mal Nova or he has a role with the power to kill other townspeople. Vigilante, maybe?

LoM2 - Day Four - Kaden - 02-16-2012

And this is the downside to the loud people dying.

Thought I should mention that there's a Miss Fortune in this game. No clue what she can do, but I was targetted by her a couple night ago. Something stopped it. I know it's not really useful information, but it is information.

At this point, what do really have to go on? Rose is almost certainly a Townsperson and... that's about it? Do we just lynch someone at random?

LoM2 - Day Four - Vad - 02-16-2012

I really don't know. Rose stands out in my mind. Then again Rafael and Tyr have targets on their face as well.

LoM2 - Day Four - Super Buu - 02-16-2012

DUDE. We lynched Keiko! She was mafia! How can you ... I've been pushing for ...

You know what Lynch Vad achoo

LoM2 - Day Four - Vad - 02-16-2012

Rose Wrote:DUDE. We lynched Keiko! She was mafia! How can you ... I've been pushing for ...

I've been mafia. I know that lynching your own happens. Don't pull that shit with me. With fewer members to start with the risk of that situation happening is much higher.

LoM2 - Day Four - Super Buu - 02-16-2012

u literal? Keiko wasn't suspected until I risked my ass to convince everyone to lynch her. If I was mafia, especially in a game of this size, it would be a VERY dumb strategy to lose 1 of my numbers (of which are probably just 3) on the second day in order to possibly make people trust me.

Ok but seriously now, we have a lot of suspects. Rafael, Vad, Tyr, and first and foremost IMO: Teemer. Unless Kaden confirms that his trap can work on any ability, I think Nidalee probably wasn't trying to heal someone. I've kind of suspected him based on the fact that he's been reaally quiet, trying to avoid attention and easily getting away with a single post a day because of 'being busy'.

nose

LoM2 - Day Four - Rafael - 02-16-2012

It goes beyond lynching your own though. Rose specifically targetted a mafia and said "Kill this person." And in all likelihood without him saying that Keiko would still be alive because we're getting fuck all information.

LoM2 - Day Four - Kaden - 02-16-2012

If his Warwick ability is the same, then he targeted her because that was the person he got information on (highest # of lynch votes on a day with no lynch) and she just happened to be mafia. What I still find kind of suspect is how Doe switched his lynch vote to Keiko at, basically, the last minute. If he hadn't done that, then Rose wouldn't have gotten any information (again, assuming the ability is the same as last game).

To answer Rose's question about my trap, my post just says it works on Night Abilities. There are Passive, Triggered, Day, and Night. Warwick's is an example of a passive, mine is Night, LeBlanc's was some combination of Passive and Triggered. So... there's a legitimate chance that my trap discovers nothing.

That said, though, the Trap (and I say this with 99% certainty, knowing Ashe) won't discriminate between a Night Ability that would be beneficial (a Doctor role, for example) and a Night Ability that would be detrimental (vigilante role). So, yeah, it's possible Nidalee was trying to do something helpful. Given, though, that we've already seen a savior role and two ability-stoppers (myself and Swain, if Rose is to be believed), I find it unlikely that he has an ability that's good for us.

Somewhat in Teemer's defense, I know he's been busy irl. That's part of why he hasn't posted much. So... take that for what you will.

Looking back through some of the previous days, I found this, which is now much more interesting:

Rose Wrote:
Rafael Wrote:I wonder if someone used a mass-negation ala Amumu last night. Warwick targeted me with something too and it also got negated.
Really? I was under the impression that Warwick's ability wasn't targetable as such, more something that allows you to get information on the person with the most lynch votes at the end of the day. I say that because I'm Warwick, and I smell bullshit.

And since she still hasn't posted, Lynch Keiko, the person I got information on and who was confirmed to be Swain, a mafia, whose ability allows her to stop a target's Night Phase action from working up to a total of twice. I was hoping she'd give some information before I let this drop, but I'd rather not wait until the night phase because I may well die before I get the chance to out a confirmed mafia. I was already targeted for Something by Shaco last night, though I still don't know if they're mafia or not. If I do die in the night, I'd suggest Rafael for the next lynch.

So someone here is lying. Either Rose isn't telling the truth about his ability (he claims it's a passive that he can't target during the Night) or Rafael isn't telling the truth about being targeted. Rose's case doesn't really make sense, since I don't see the point in trying to hide one facet of your ability when you've already disclosed a very dangerous one (dangerous to the mafia, that is); Rose could also have two completely separate abilities, but I find that scenario much less likely.

Rafael lying only makes sense if he was trying to direct suspicion towards Rose. Something to think about.

At this point... I'm inclined to give Rose the benefit of the doubt more than anyone else. At the very least, he ended up directing us towards a mafia lynch. I agree with him that lynching one of their own isn't a safe strategy with so few people in the game. I'm probably going to be casting a lynch vote towards Vad, but I would like to hear any reasoning he has for pointing the proverbial finger at Rafael and Tyr.

Unlike this post, there was no train of thought, just an accusation.

LoM2 - Day Four - Vad - 02-17-2012

I don't have a train of thought really. When you lynch me you'll find out I'm not your enemy here, but otherwise my mind just said Rafael and Tyr stood out. Forgetting Rose entirely because I just don't care anymore I really am never sure what to say in Mafia so I be myself-- random and chaotic in what I say.

Like John Doe is loud I'm random with what I post.

Lynch me if you must, but it'll be a detrimental mistake for the town.

LoM2 - Day Four - Super Buu - 02-17-2012

Rafael has been very high on my suspicion list since then, me and Doe were both pointing fingers in that thread. But I wanted to get Keiko out of the way first, and I just figured the Teemer was probably a high likelihood, but apparently not, so now my #1 pick for today is Rafael. I have suspicions of others, but none anywhere near as much.

Unlynch Vad
Lynch Rafael

SNEEZE

LoM2 - Day Four - Rafael - 02-17-2012

Lol. Been doing nothing but defend ya Rose and this is how ya do me? Still have no idea what was up night one. Just said I was targetted by WW and the ability failed, and that I would get no more info.

just because, and to get you a better sniff target Lynch Tyr

LoM2 - Day Four - Super Buu - 02-17-2012

You know ... actually, that sounds similar to what happened to me with Shaco. Considering that, and the fact that it makes little sense you would say that otherwise, I kind of think that maybe there's a 'red herring' ability that allows that kind of message to be sent. Sinuses.

LoM2 - Day Four - Kaden - 02-17-2012

So now the thinking is that there's someone who can make it look like you're being targeted by a champion, but you're not actually?

LoM2 - Day Four - Kaden - 02-17-2012

May seem random, but can people just post again instead of editing? Especially when it's something significant like a lynch vote? Almost missed that completely.

If we want to play it "safe," wouldn't letting Rose investigate Rafael make the most sense? I don't mean to pick on Raf, but it definitely seems like more people are suspicious of him than anything else. Teemer, Vad, and Tyr seem to be the runners up, not necessarily in that order.

LoM2 - Day Four - Super Buu - 02-17-2012

Kaden Wrote:So now the thinking is that there's someone who can make it look like you're being targeted by a champion, but you're not actually?

Yeah, very possibly. Either that, or someone used an ability that blocked Shaco and Rafael is/was bullshitting. But I haven't heard anything else from a Shaco yet and it seems kinda unlikely that Raf would make up something about Warwick if he actually was mafia and knew that there was a chance Warwick would call him out on it. So now I'm thinking that yes, there is someone with a 'misdirection' ability in the game. Now it's just a question of who that might be.

By process of elimination ... Unlynch Rafael and Lynch Tyr. Whether it's just an investigation or a full lynch is up to you guys, I see advantages and disadvantages to both but something gives me a feeling. Sniff.

LoM2 - Day Four - Super Buu - 02-17-2012

FTR I am -mostly- editing because I keep forgetting to do my posting rule. Noses.

LoM2 - Day Four - Kaden - 02-17-2012

Do you have an actual reason for switching to Tyr, Rose, or did you just go with it because it's what Raf had?

LoM2 - Day Four - Super Buu - 02-17-2012

Process of elimination + hunch. Hunch comprising of simple posting stuff, nothing specific - like Teemer, very much sitting back. Process of elimination comprising of the fact that we know most of the other roles by now. Waffuru is very likely Gragas or Gangplank, not sure which, and Rafael I don't know but based on my guesses about the 'red herring' ability it's seeming a little less likely. Nothing, of course, that I'm willing to put 100% on. But Tyr is the biggest mystery so far. Sniff.
