This whole RPG has sunken into a deep state of limbo. It almost feels like we're all crowded around a chalk outline on the ground labeled "Chubbs" while a body bag is being zipped up with a pint sized sayjin laying motionless inside. Some of left already, others hang around for reasons even they don't know.
To be honest I just wanted to make some sort of strange body bag reference, I thought it might make a solid point.

Damn Kami, you and your intellectual comments...i'm not sure if all that meant that the RPG is dead, or you too are quitting....Care to clarify for the less intelligent?

There's too much truth to what Kami says... 18 needs to get back and continue on with the saga, or this RPG will sink into the ground.

I only await the return of VJ. That's all I want. If he ever shows back up and says "Let's kick this up" then I will. IF he shows up. I'm not going to try to "revive" the rpg anymore. I've grown tired of that. It's like keeping a suffering family member on life support in a coma for twenty years. And then when they get off they are either nothing more than a skeleton due to all of their muscles having deteriated from lack of use, or finally go brain dead.
I hang around as nothing more than a spirit, unwilling to let go, unwilling to just move on... Unfinished sagas are my unfinished business... Like a haunted house. Spirits stay because they are unwilling to admit that they are dead, and then hang around. In hopes that something else will finally allow them their eternal rest.

One day I think that I'm going to come back to this board, and one of the admins will finally have had enough, and the board itself will have nothing more than a large image saying "Rest in Peace, CDBZ. It left it's mercy at the door on -date-" Of course, for saying that, I'd be the person who'd be pointed at. But I also really think that if that DID happen, noone would bother to follow through with solving the situation and putting the boards back up. Noone would care. Everyone would be like "...well damn... that sucks... Guess I'll find something else to do till it comes back up..." and the staff... we'll be like "great... guess we'll wait on VJ to fix the board for us... or someone else will deal with it..." and VJ will be like "I've found a life, and could care less about wasting my time fixing something on the internet that really doesn't matter to me, especially when it's not like anyone can get in touch with me to harass me. I can finally stop spending that money on webspace."
Actually, that's it. The site will die due to the contract for the webspace running out, and it will just have the server go down. I'm suprised he hasn't canceled yet.
Of course, you can all label me a traitor, and say I've jumped ship, or given up and don't deserve to be here and yada yada... But I've been here longer than anyone here, with the sole exception of Josh, as we were both pretty much the same day, with Samy shortly behind. We were all a family, and that's what made this RPG fun. A small group of friends. I've been here since BEFORE the beginning... Before we opened... And I finally feel we are at death's door. Someone can come revive the place, and prove me wrong. And you know what? That won't phase me. I really have just lost my passion for the place. It's burnt me out. I no longer even roleplay anywhere just b/c of the drama with dealing with always spending more time trying to keep people from quiting or destroying the site, and never really roleplaying, and I finally found other things to do.
I get on the net daily still. But where has CDBZ progressed? No, we'll not have some "kick ass apology saga" where everyone will go "Well, it started to suck, but the final saga was worth it." Lack of activity always turned to a Tournement. Tournements always died from lack of activity. Lack of activity caused then a Staff Saga. Staff Sagas died from lack of activity. Lack of activity was caused by important people dissappearing. This rpg revolves on the wheel of Lack of Activity. From what I hear now, even this "Great glorious final saga" has started it's fall due to lack of activity. You realize how many "final sagas" we've had? Dende's lookout... well, lack of activity killed that, and when someone finished it/let it be forgotten/undid it/whatever the hell they did, people wanted to do something. It's like a bait and reel technique...
You may commence to being appalled now.

I wouldn't say you're a traitor, I don't think there's really anyone who really cares about this place anymore, it's just that place that used to be alot of fun and we'd all like to be fun again but we don't have the time, the energy, or whatever it takes to keep going, it's just a memory. You're right about the webspace though, once the hosting is gone that'll be the end, the people with the power won't just give up and kill it and the members don't really want that, when the house gets torn down we'll leave, but until then we're just gonna kick around and talk about how it used to be.

Real life did get me, and I'm sorry for that. True, even with a saga this place will keep dying, after the saga, what will happen? Well, I'll be posting again, although it may be short, but I'll give those who want to RP, something to RP.

Piccolo... people having been talking like this for the past year. It's nothing new. Really, not all that much has changed. I still plan on sticking with this thing for as long as I can, and I know there are a couple others that are going to do so as well. But there are also people who just keeping saying its dead and blah blah blah. Its not always the same people, and they don't always say the exact same things, but you get used to it.
