Warped Tour '04 - Metal Koola - 08-09-2004
For those unfortunate souls who weren't able to attend/ will not be able to attend this magnificent festival of some of the greatest music ever... I pity you. I was one of the lucky people able to go and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life... Mosh Pits rule!
Got there at 10, waited on line for 2 hours... got in around 12:20 and all of a sudden I hear Billy Talent playing, didn't know if it was a cd or not. I run over and sure enough, they're starting to form a crowd. I run back, tell my friends, and run back again... all the while no one can keep up with me. I break through the crowd and get right up in the front in the mosh pit... going CRAZY!!!!!!!!! Halfway through the mosh I got pegged with a full can of Monster (the energy drink) so for the next hour I smelled like cotton candy... or so I was told. Billy Talent kicked so much ass... SOOOOOOOO much ass. They were the best live performance, second probably being Avenged Sevenfold. Then The Vandals, who were just hilarious.
Coheed and Cambria, although they weren't as great as usual, I thought did an awesome job. Their mosh pit was crazy... no one could move because it was so jam packed. I seriously couldn't breath for most of it, and the times I could breath, all I breathed in was a huge amount of dirt. So many people were crowd surfing it was crazy, I'd say at least 10 people landed right on top of me because I wasn't paying attention. My neck was so sore... and then someone who was crowdsurfing kicked me square in the nose... that hurt like a bitch! I fell down once too, luckily people helped me up quickly.
I poured water on my head afterwards and couldn't even feel it because my head was covered in mud.
I also heard this really cool rap/rock band with 5 black guys called El Pus, and if you have even the slightest interest in rap, they're worth a listen.
Yellowcard headlined and they were pretty good. They had two of their friends come on stage and I don't know if the guy actually proposed, but I saw him put a ring on a girls finger.
my head is just clogged with so many awesome experiences...
a small but funny side note... there was this girl walking around in only a bra, and on her chest it said breakfast and pointed down, and on her back it said dinner and pointed down. The disposable camera sales-guy said to her "so what's for breakfast?" she pointed to her chest... he then said "is that a nipple ring?" because it was visible through the bra, so she pulled her bra down and said "YUP!" AH... memories...

I was recently at the rolling rock town fair in latrobe PA, It pwned your concert out teh cornholio. Craziest concert Ive been to ever. Disterbed and Finch got into a fight... you should have seen the mosh pit. Just about as muddy and crazy as yours if not more. *whipes tear of joy*

Coheed and Cambria rocks. It is what I'm using for my AMV, Good Eye Sniper. Or whatever it's called. But damn you are lucky. My brother couldn't go because he had to work but he wanted to go, probably still wants to. Heh. You suck >_<
