Baricades - Android-18 - 12-09-2004

Could someone explain them a little more? For one, do they cover the whole boarder or just that little bit that the yellow bar is? If its the last one, I think they're pretty useless then because people could just go around instead of working to get through. What are the baricades made of? Is it a wall of energy or something physical?

My post described it pretty well. I say they only go a certain distance, as far as the yellow line. They are simply not the easiest things to see, and when someone has you cornered against one, you can't really just go around it, as you are backed up against something that makes it difficult. It pretty much makes the areas in between the barricades a "traffic zone", where things are more likely to happen and where it's more dangerous. Imagine a mountain pass. You have the whole mountain, but if you are unable to traverse it, you would take the pass. So would everyone else. So there would be thieves and opportunists waiting for you at such openings.

I posted that it was a shimmering wall of energy, non solid. A being, theoretically, could move physically through it. But once you are within ten feet of it, lightning will fire out attempting to grab and electrocute you, similar to a tesla coil on Command and Conquer.

Quote:so, could you use it to your advantage in say, a fight?
where as, u corner them and use the electrical energy against your opponent.

Oh yes. But at the same time, you'll be required to make it plausible.

None of this "OMFG I kik u into teh barricadier! j00 r ded!!111"

So... yeah. I think they could make fights very very interesting. I never actually thought of that before Reijin posted here.

Exactly. Think Mortal Kombat: Deception XD You can use them against your opponent, but not immediately. It will require weakening them and all that. Be realistic, not "I fire a beam and you dodge it and stupidly fly into the barrier".
