Coolant.

All the cool kids use water cooling.

Ok I gotta technical question here, how does the coolant hit the parts and not short circut them. Ive been sent across my basement because I accidentally touched the power intake on my computer when fixing it.

It's not like you're just pouring the coolant onto the circuitry. See, the coolant runs through hoses, similarly, but not exactly, like the way it does in a car, only in a smaller quantity, and makes it's way through the interior of the computer. I imagine you could actually run the hose directly through certain components so long as the design takes liquid cooling into account. Yeah.

EDIT: And I laugh at you for being zapped.

EDIT VER 2: Chances are someone has a better answer for you, as well. I don't spend much time at all with comp hardware. But most answers are pretty obvious. *Shrug*

Thanks Bra, and yeah, unless its a non conducting syrup and not really liuquid.

Did you not read the part about it running through hoses? Rubber/Plastic doesn't conduct electricity, good sir.

no but water does and if they were using water than it wouldnt matter if the tubes didnt, the water would still short circuit the chips.

You, my friend, are an idiot.

I think Super Buu has been getting that a lot

The coolant runs through heatsinks in place of fans. The liquid never touches any of the compents directly. Any liquid on computer parts is pretty much death for them.

And overclocking has a lot more to do with the processor and not the cooling. The advantage of watercooling is good temps with no noise.

but whats the bad side of water cooling? If its as efficent as normal cooling, ill get that when I get my own PC. Its sounds cool

OOOOOOOKKKKKK back to the subject

Er I doubt the PC is connected to water pipelines
