It doesn't matter, people will roleplay better if they are with a character they are comfortable with. The only thing you have to deal with is the stat reduction.

If you can;t find fun with Borgos, then you will never find it..
You make them who you want them to be. Not what they are bound to. Only people who are bound to restraint is people that have a family. Such as Bardock, Rad, Goku, Chi-Chi etc.
So, find you flavour, & make them what you want.
