Okay, I was talking to Rad and we came accross the topic that we both liked each other's character's more then we did with the show.
For example, I feel I have delved so deep into a minor character's head, that its gotten to the point where I dont even imagine there is a Burter on DBZ. I made Burter. Not them.
CDBZ Burter > DBZ Burter
And I feel this way about alot of the characters on Chubbs. Bra, Rad, and Kami are just some examples.
Anyone else?

Yup. I can't watch the episodes of DBZ with Rad in them. Nor can I stand to see someone else writting about Raditzu. Why? Because they're wrong. One of the drawbacks to having characters based off of a popular show. I know I like Raditzu way more than I ever liked Raditsu or Raditz. They're just a couple of lame rip-offs.
(I accidentaly typed "Raditzu" three times in the course of trying to type "Raditz" and "Raditsu"... make that four.)

Exactly how I feel. I will stand by this till I fucking die. I'M the one that made the true Burter. I wont watch the DBZ eps with the Ginyu Force cause they STOLE my character and made him SUCK X(
Burter is mine. I made his personality, I made his strengths, weaknesses, friendships, family.

I perfer the char's when they are RPed, becuas e in the seris it's all so perdictable after a while. But at least when your RPing, you can change a char to what ever way you want. Like Burter & Rad said, they perfer their version's better, I kinda aggre with them, I can't look at Rad on the show, & not imagine him in SSJ form like in Rad's sig, or Burter doing some of the thing's he has done in the series.
So I perfer the RPed version, where ever one make's the char how they want them to be, & after RPing it so much & so often, you tend to get used to that form for the char.. I should know, having spent nearly 2yr's RPing as Gohan on MSN Chat, I kinda got pissed when he never did any of the stuff I did as him in the TV show..
So yeah, I respect the RP version's one hell of alot better, becuase a minor like Rad, Burter or Rec (aswell as many others) can become alot more in depth then the show ever intended..

SSJ Rad is just badass. That's all there really is to it.
True story here. They were going to make Rad an SSJ in the show, originally. But, when they drew him as an SSJ, he was so amazing that it made Goku and Piccolo look like the little shits they were. No one would have ever believed that someone that looked as badass as SSJ Rad could be beaten by some dude with black hair and a lizard in a turban. So, sadly, they were reduced to giving him the coolest hair style in the series as compensation.

I think they could of some how brough an SSJ Rad in to the show.. But maybe abit later on or some thing.. Or even have him come in during the Super Android 17 Saga in GT.. Sound's stupid to say, but that would really have been cool for Goku to have to fight his brother, in SSJ.. That would of just been sweet!

I was hoping they would do that as well. But the problem with that, as stated above, is that no one would have believed that Goku could beat someone that looked as thoroughly sexy as SSJ Rad.

Another thing.. Dosn't his hair in SSJ make him look like a SSJ3, just with eye brows? That would really confuse people as to how the hell would that have happened.. Maybe why they never put him in as a SSJ in the first place.. But who knows?

I played Garlic to the point were I would never change characters. I love garlic now, and I didnt before. See I like garlics basic design ,always have, I think Akira could have done so much better with him... so im picking up his slack with this character.

Obviously we are going to like our characters more because they are deeper, and more thought out. DB was a kids series, for little 12 year olds and the like so the story is written that way. We're all much more mature, and interested in a bit of a deeper plot so our characters turn out better then the ones in the show.

I look at it more like I have a character I use in stories I write that is named and modeled after a character from DBZ. I don't ever think of Kami as the Guardian of Earth or whatever...I write stories about a cool character I made up. His appearance was already taken care of. I don't watch DBZ anymore beacuse...it's dumb. I have Bodukai 1 & 2...and I don't really play them much anymore, mainly because I was at school and away from my PS2, but alot because DBZ has lost its greater appeal to me. It's still neat, but I'm not gonna jizz my shorts when I see some cool DBZ merchandise or whatever. Personally, you guys are freaking me out with how seriously you take your character, like how the show screwed up your character. I'm not saying it is bad, wrong, stupid, unrealistic, or idiotic, you are entitled to your opinion. To me it seems a bit extreme. Point is, I'm an angry, bitter, confused, tired man and I want pie.

Washed up? Saiyajin's stay young longer. While Bardock is old, he's probably in his prime at the moment, I mean look at Goku, in the Buu saga he was about 30~40 years old- did he look old and washed up to you? O_o

I think the most impresive, is when Goku was around his 60's... And looked likea lil frigging kid... Don't that count for anything? (Yes, I do know he was wished to be like that, but I'm in a joking around kinda mood... Kinda..)

=P Goku was still in good condition at the end of DB, and he was like 50, and Vejita's even older. It's not really known wether Vejita meant they stay in their prime longer or they actually live longer then normal, all I know is Goku only kept getting stronger and him and Vejita never seemed to age past the Cell saga.
So Bardock is way off from being washed up and old.

I'm not sure about this, but I think Sayain's live to like, 150yr's old.. Maybe longer.. BEcuase if I remember rightly.. Vegeta ddi say they say the age slower, kinda the whole point of their race... Beat the crap outta any one that crosses ya path as long as you can sorta crap..

CDBZ Broli is incredible, in my opinion. The major drawback to the movies is that there is no character development for Broli. His character type is static, rather than dynamic, as he gives really no clues as to the characteristics of his personality rather than his hatred and hunger for destruction.
If DBZ Broli was to be judged, as the NPCs were in Burter's saga, I'd give him a 4, and only that high because him in action was plain out awesome.

GT doesnt count. The fact that Gohan was the strongest single character at the end of DBZ didn't really seem to matter to them. Goku becoming randomly stronger than Gohan would probably fly, but Vegeta being able to make a fool out of him... come on.

Gohan couldn't go Mystic again, after the last saga were Goku didn't come back to Earth he just flat gave up training and went for a "career" like his mother said. But if he would've kept up the training like Goku would have had him then he might of made it to SSJ3. That's why Vegeta kicked soo much ass during GT, because he had still been training all that time.
