Success - Android-18 - 01-25-2006 My first day at a real job. I'm tired, since my sleeping schedual was whacked, but I feel proud of myself. I managed to take the bus to and from, and I lasted the whole 3 hours. Sure it was just orientation, but it was still 3 hours that I was being paid for! Now I work Tomorrow 11aAM-2PM Thursday 1PM-4PM Friday 1PM-4PM SAT and Sunday off, then double shifts Monday and Tuesday 8AM-4PM I'm excited, after 3 weeks starting today I'll no longer be in training and will become a night worker. Some people hate it, but I think I'll like it. I just hope I don't mess up too much >.< Success - Burter Jr - 01-25-2006 I know, I was there. >_> Success - Android-18 - 01-25-2006 Where? Success - Hellfighter 17 - 01-25-2006 I should drive up to Saskatoon when I get my license this summer to hassle you. =P Success - Old Selipa - 01-25-2006 Are you not still 15, and don't you need your G2? At most when your 16 you can get your G1? Or is Ontario making my life hard? I'm so confused. ;_; Success - Android-18 - 01-25-2006 Wtf is G2? What are you talking about? Success - Old Selipa - 01-25-2006 I have my G2 yay. Umm G1 you have to drive with a person that has had their G or G2 for 4 years. G2 you can drive by yourself but can only drive one person after midnight for the first six months. G you are a full driver and shit. Success - Bra - 01-25-2006 I think Selipa's talking about graduated liscensing. That's handled provincially; everyone has their own policies. It's possible to acquire a Learner's permit at age 14 in Alberta. =/ Success - Metal Koola - 01-25-2006 It's 16 in NY, and it's 15 and 7 months in Arizona... those are the only ones I know. Success - Violet - 01-25-2006 Ours here in ohio is 15 and a half, and that is only yourtemps. You recieve a minor's license until you are 21 (this applies with state ID's too, so Toma, when you get here, your ID will look like this: ![]() Fixed ![]() Dont stare at it too hard or you will go blind. Gawd...I look fat in blue...that was taken like 3 years ago, btw and i was wearing a bandanna, my hair isn't that flat..its nice and somewhat poofy with curls.>.< After 21(which here in about 2 weeks, i'll have to get a new one) will be horizontal, not vertical, like that pic right there. Success - Sammah - 01-25-2006 Well after working full time, I'd kill for those type of shifts. Damn, imagine only working for 4 hours a day...that's like a dream come true. >.< Success - Hellfighter 17 - 01-25-2006 Quote:Originally posted by SelipaI'll be 16 by then. My birthday's in June and I'm going for my license in July. =\ You can go for your learner's at 14 and 9 months here. Success - Android-18 - 01-25-2006 I'm just being trained, me and this other girl will be part of the Night people as they call us. Depending on how well we catch on to things is when we'll switch to full time night shift. Today this guy ordered a small fry, so I got it and 1 fry fell out and he demanded we give him a new small fry because he lost some. A few other customers were snobby or rushing, man my trainer moved so fast on the touch screen, I hope I get that fast soon xD. *hobbles* my feet hurt from my new black polishable shoes. ;-; Success - Ruhiel - 01-25-2006 Just hope that you don't end up working the grill. One of my friends can't feel anything in the tips of his fingers, and a spot on his left arm where the grease spattered onto him and burned the nerve endings off. Success - Android-18 - 01-25-2006 Yeah I work at McDonalds to make some McMoney. I'll have to learn everything, mostly drive through I think. I learned how to do fries and the tills today. Success - Toshiro - 01-25-2006 Quote:Originally posted by Android-18 I doubt it.. At the McDonald's I worked out, granted it could be diffrent from you guys, only had people working on certain areas. Those up front worked just upfront, and those in the kitchen just in the kitchen. So, basicly, you shouldn't be handling the grill and that, just sticking with the tills and such. Success - Hellfighter 17 - 01-25-2006 Quote:Originally posted by GohanShe's a trainee, though; she needs to learn to do the schtuff. Success - Toshiro - 01-25-2006 I was never trained to work on the counter (though my McD's was abit of a shit hole >.>), so I assume it works that way over there to. Success - Hellfighter 17 - 01-25-2006 Quote:Originally posted by GohanThat might be why nobody knows England has a McDonald's. =\ Success - Android-18 - 01-25-2006 Yeah, uh, this is Canada so obviously some things will be different. I know for a fact I'll learn the grill because my ex said many times he was working Window (till) and other times he was working grill. |
