[18:31:26] Reijin: Hey man, can you do me a favor?
[18:31:44] Reijin: I haven't been to the site in days... I just need you to let everyone know what's going on for me.

[18:32:39] Reijin: Friday afternoon one of my friends was killed in a car wreck. I've been trying to be there for his family as much as possible (I am friends with all four of the siblings, not just "oh that's my friends brothers" type thing) and noone in our area is taking this well.
[18:33:19] Reijin: Whenever I'm at home, I am not really doing that great and have been feeling on the edge of throwing up everytime I leave the house, so I've been trying to do other things to take my mind off of it and all, and I've not really had the time to touch the site.
[18:33:25] Reijin: When I have, I just haven't cared.
[18:33:51] Rebinator: *nod*
[18:33:57] Reijin: I should hopefully be back on tonight, but I can't guarantee anything. I'm on my way to the viewing in a few minutes, and tomorrow is the funeral so I'm trying to get off work for it.

Kudos to you dude, for trying to help Chubbs out in such a situation. But don't go out of your way to try and pop on...deaths have a heavy effect to those around the victim, and it's tough.

Heh... I can honestly say. I think this is literally the first break I've taken where I have not visited the site at all in the time between. Was kinda nice in some ways.
I am going to try to get back to work, but no guarentees about activity. I'll do my best. I have a lot going on at the moment, and something happened with my bank.
Long story short about that; I donated 100 dollars to the family to help offset some of the cost of the funeral and a few other friends donated money as well, but when I did, I really couldn't afford to that much, since it was right on the edge for rent. So we wrote the rent check, and then had to work to remake the money and also go to their get togethers.
On October 1 my gf gave the rent check to the place.
On October 2nd, around 11 AM, she went to the bank with 180 dollars give or take in cash, to cover that final hundred we needed.
On October 3rd, the rent cleared, which is the first time ever it didn't take two weeks. Two other payments, both below ten dollars and had happened before the first, also cleared, but they took the bank payment out first, dropping us below zero, then the two other payments, causing an overdraft of 105.
Then on October 4th, our CASH deposit finally cleared, working its way into leaving us at NEGATIVE 76. We have two bills now floating that we can't pay from that. We immediately run back to the bank for another deposit.
On October 5th, two MORE overdrafts happen for another 70 dollars over two payments of five dollars or close for gas and crap from around the 28th of Sept.
Then on October 6 the deposit clears.
We are currently trying to deal with the bank about it, b/c now we are getting cancelation notices from certain places giving us deadlines.
And I don't regret a thing about helping my friends out. In total, they recieved about 750 dollars from about 20 people total. So all these places can fuck themselves, I'm going to get it taken care of.

And back on topic. I hope that everything finally settles down and your community feels joy when they remember him. Though the car accident is a tragic thing, there was a purpose for it. Clearly God called for him.

...at least he was killed on impact.
I mean, his head went through his window and smashed a tree at 80 miles an hour because the driver was so inexperienced that he never even pressed the brake.
And they were all friends, but the driver's mom has now hired a lawyer and the driver is faking amnesia asking people "Who was driving" and telling people not to tell the cops anything, going "Will I get in trouble for this?" when asked questions, which are now only answered by his mom. He was seen at a church with crutches and a neckbrace and seen two hours later at Wal-mart walking normally. When the cops asked for his name and address and other info, he was like "I don't know, I can't remember who I am".
Meanwhile, another guy that was in the car is pretty much scarred for life b/c he was trying his hardest to wake Daniel (the friend who was killed) up the entire time and the cops hadn't told him what happened yet. His body was still functioning by breathing and such, but due to impact, the Daniel we knew was pretty much eliminated from his brain at that point.

Car accidents are tragic, Rei. My Aunt lost a dear friend in an accident on Friday of last week, and she's scarcely stopped crying since.
It comes out of nowhere. It's a shame.
