No it's not the tonsils. A vessel in your nasal cavity bursted. Its from sneezing, blowing your nose to hard. It dried out cracked and bursded. And blood is like water it follows the flow. Which is down. So its going down your throat and irratating it.

Yeah...that happened to me once, it wasn't much fun. I would much rather just have my tonsils removed then have to go through that again.
