Anyone out there playing the Battlefield 2142 demo? We should get on a server and make up a squad if we can get a couple of us.

That being said, I'm not sure, but I don't think I can get the demo, being in Romania and all...Tried once, and said some stuff, and wouldn't load....might be the comp, but hey, living here sucks more... >_>

I just had one of the most fun rounds ever. Both Titan shields were down, I was support on defense, battling hall for hall to defend the consoles. I watch nervously as consoles two and 1 were taken down quickly, but take heart in 2 and 3 of the enemies offline as well. Those on offense are doing thier job. The battle continues, everyone is racking up points, the lowest on the board was 16. We are down to just number 4 and I die. I respawn and am running back down to help my brothers in arms when the computerized lady calmly announces that number four is down. Shit. There is some serious fighting going down in the reactor room now.

I get two of them before I'm lost. I was so engrossed I didn't notice that the enemies hull was critical as well. Sprinting back down I do see it and hold my breath. Its one or the other, a lost second one wasted life could tip it. I get to the core and I dont even get to fire a shot when I hear those blissful words.
"Enemy Titan destroyed."
I join in with everyone emptying our guns into the sky as the round closes.
Edit: for those not in the know. A Titan game is one were the object is to control the many missle silos scattered over the map. The object is to keep them firing at the enemy Titan: a huge many roomed ship flying in the sky. Once the missles take out the shield they continue damaging the hull. Eventually they will take it down. But the quicker, and much mor enjoyable way, is to infiltrate the enemy Titan and destroy the core. This obtained by navigating the halls and taking out 4 computer consoles to shut down the shield. Then you blow up the core and win. Of course the other team is doing the same while defending.

That sounds so goddamn amazing. I'm not that great at BF:2 cause I haven't played it consitently and I always end up on a shitty team getting killed by soem bastard BUT I still love the game anyways.

I just finished playing it. AWESOME! The only thing is that the helicopter/plane is kinda....very hard to control. I think I crashed 3 times into the same tree. O_o

I find it infinitely easier than the jets and helicopters in BF2. In fact I've been known to land the sucker rather than my entire squad ejecting moments before I plow into the ground like most pilots.

Well...I find it harder to pilot...Also, I like kamikazying in this one best. I like smashing helicopters together...and I got banned on 5 srvs so far for teamkilling...

One time I saw an enemy heli, and I had no gunners, nor could I shoot and fly properly, so a flew in low and clipped the top of it. Two of the duders in it died, I have no Idea if it crashed or not, I just know it only cost me a little armor.
