[O] Super Buu visits Memory Village - Burter - 11-25-2006

PCs: Super Buu and Kakarot

"Corey said he saw it in this direction," the soldier in front of Super Buu noted. "I don't see anything, though."

"It's there," Buu said simply. He nodded to Kakarot, who was in the distance looking through a sniper rifle on a rock. He signalled a thumbs up back to the pink goo. "They can see it," Buu confirmed.

"The scout is back, Sir!" The pink gooball heard. He looked over as a man ran back into the unit, pushing people out of the way.

Super Buu stopped the marching and waited for the man to speak. They expected to find a place nearby, after Corey told him via messenger where they saw it. "It's there," confirmed the scout. "The sign said Memory Village."

The General nodded. "Make camp," he ordered. "We'll pay them a visit."

Damn, thought Buu, looking out across his army. Have I completely lost my mind? Here he was, accepting responsibility for an entire unit when only a few months ago he?d been unable to handle just himself and a few others. Then again, he hadn?t been in the best state of mind after learning that his leader had been murdered, and the killer themselves had escaped.

The golem shook his head, but couldn?t help but grin at how ludicrous the whole situation was.

The tents from the previous day had been packed up, and now they were marching towards their destination. By now, ?Memory Village? was in plain view, looking much bigger than it did from a distance. Satisfied, Buu turned and bellowed. ?HOLD UP!? Immediately the soldiers got the message, and the ground?s shaking ceased. The monster smirked; few things were more useful to a commander than the ability to amplify one?s own voice.

?Alright,? began the General. ?Me and Krakanot ?? he looked questioningly at the raven-haired Saiya-jin, who stood next to him. ?? Kakrotch?? The majin leaned closer. ?Kakarot!? He coughed and continued. ?Me and Kakarot here are going to visit the village up ahead. In the meantime, take a breather.?

The last order was met with a synonymous sigh of relief amongst the soldiers. Meanwhile, the saiyan-golem duo strode ahead towards the village.

?So what?s the plan, Silly Putty?? asked Kakarot playfully.

A sly smirk made its way onto the magical golem?s face. ?Just let me do the talking.?

As they approached the village gates, guards were already waiting. There was no hostility yet, but clearly was tension in the air.

As they drew closer, the guards crossed their spears at the entrance. ?State your business.?

Buu held up his hand in a signal of peace. ?We?d like to speak to the guy in charge of this place.?

?The Chieftain does not speak with visitors.?

Buu hooked a thumb over his shoulder, pointing at the army just overfield. ?Do you think the Chieftain would rather we come in and find him??

The guards were taken aback, but turned aside. Frantic whispers were exchanged, and they eventually seemed to come to the conclusion that the pink thing had a point. One of the guards dashed back inside the village, whilst Buu and Kakarot waited semi-patiently with the rest.

Before long, an ever-increasing number of villagers had begun to congregate around the village entrance. Through the crowd stepped a man, accompanied by a large troop of guards. His feathery headress shook in the wind, and a stern expression was upon his face. Fearlessly he stepped out in front of the two Outcast fighters.

?I am Mochulos, Chieftain of Memory Village,? rumbled the leader, his deep voice seemingly appropriate for the position he held. ?I hear you have words to speak with me.?

Buu nodded, smiling slightly. ?We won?t keep you long. We just wanted to talk about allegiances.? He coughed before magically expanding his voice, allowing the village to hear himself. ?As I?m sure you?re aware, there is a war going on in this land. There are other countries out there who are also seeking to gain land, and unfortunately for you guys, you?re in the middle of a battleground.?

?That,? the monster continued, ?is why we?re offering you protection. Soon, every single one of us,? he emphasised the last three words, gazing around at the villagers, ?will be forced to take sides. Each country, including our own, possesses a force powerful enough to decimate this village. And not everyone is going to be as nice about it as we are.? A grim smile made its way across Super Buu?s features.

?The question is ? will you leave it to fate to decide who you get conquered by, or will you join us now and avoid the unnecessary conflict?? The golem of puttalin crossed his arms. ?We?ll give you a few hours to think it over and come to a decision. When you are ready, send a messenger across to our army. We?ll be waiting.?

With that, Buu nodded to his ally. Kakarot placed his hand on the being?s shoulder, and instantly, they both vanished.

They reappeared, away from the village gate. ?What do you think?? croaked Buu, rubbing his throat ? voice amplification had its downsides. ?Will they join us??

Goku grinned. ?I hope they do. For their sakes.?

?It?d be bad if they didn?t, I have no doubt that there are probably ruthless people here just waiting to get their claws into some fresh meat.? Said Kakarot as he turned to look back at the village. ?And while those collars may save them from death- there are worse things.? His ominous foreshadowing left a dark and silent impression on the pink gooey creature known as Buu; that is until he shattered the silence by sipping on the last remnants of juice in his orange juice box.

They exchanged looks with each other, Super Buu a worried expression on his face, and Kakarot an innocent one. It more than likely worried the magical creature that he was partnered up with someone like Goku, especially when he acted like this.

With a slightly saddened face- caused by the lack of anymore juice- the saiyajin crushed the box in his hand and then vaporized it with a quick and intense blast of energy from his palm; it was an efficient way of recycling.

?I worry that they may be hiding something,? he began suddenly. ?I didn?t sense anything out of the ordinary from their village, but with the way out ki sense is being dulled it wouldn?t be too difficult to hide someone of significant power.? Kakarot scratched furiously at his mess of hair, trying to help himself concentrate on a solution for this dilemma, but nothing really came to mind other than a scouter but those had been taken away upon arrival. ?We have to remember that these guys are hired like us, and with the way Dante runs things, I wouldn?t be surprised if they added something unpleasant to these villages to raise ratings.? The more and more he thought about it, the less he liked where this was heading.

The saiyajin shook his head and sighed, finally giving up on worrying over things he couldn?t control. Kakarot turned away from the village and headed back towards the camp in hopes of getting another juice box and perhaps something good to eat.

?Oh, one more thing.? Kakarot yelled over his shoulder. ?Call me Mr. K if Kakarot is too hard to say.?

"Ah, gross, don't puke on the shoes!" The human said with panic as he backed up to avoid the blue vomit spewing from the Arlian.

"Lieutenant Kakarot wins again!" A female said from the other side of the mat with a giggle. "That's eight in a row!"

Even the General Buu had to chuckle as Kakarot won another eating duel with the soldiers. He decided not to break up the party with his never-ending stomach, since it was nice to see morale so high right before a possible fight.

Just as his thoughts drifted to Memory Village, he heard a shout signifying the arrival of the messenger. "He's here!" Someone called, "General Buu!"

"Assume formation!" Buu shouted in a normal tone as he stood up. He grabbed his General badge just for formality and stuck it to his chest as he walked down the campsite.

The man from the village, a human, wore normal clothing no armor or weapons. First good sign. He nodded respecfully to Buu, who nodded back. "You are the one in charge?"

"You got me."

"I am St. Roger, a preacher." The man looked back his village, as if having a second thought, and then back. "We are a holy village. You are welcome here as long as you want, so long as you bring no violence with you. Against us, or anyone else."

"So does that mean we have a deal?" Buu asked impatiently.

"The Chieftain doesn't believe we will be attacked by anyone else," the man admitted, "But never-the-less, we are not stupid. We agree to join under your flag."

Buu grinned. He exchanged glances with Kakarot, who was still nibbling on some food away from them. He couldn't resist the urge to shout. "We got 'em!"

At this announcement to the ranks, everyone exploded in applause.

Though it a small victory, Outcasts had struck first. They were the largest army in the game. Even though it wouldn't last long, it was nice to bask in that victory for the moment.
