Cheated and Getting Cheated On - The Not Cool Not Tapion - 01-07-2007
So I was with this girl recently and like two nights before the school semester ends, my ex comes over to my house during the night and I have sex with her. Now, this is something my girl always worried about because she just didn't like my ex whatsoever. I've always tried to have 'morals' and not cheat, so I felt really bad. The next day I ended up telling my girl and stopped all communication with my ex.
Well, my girl and I for some reason stay together. Then the second day back to school for the new semester, she ends up telling me that the night before she made out with this guy who is known as a big druggie and is NEVER sober. And since I had sex with a girl there was nothing I could do but make sure she learned her lesson. So we already have this strange relationship but other than those two incidents, we were happy. Now, comes the point to two nights ago. She ended up hanging out with the druggie all night and ended up kissing him again. The next morning she broke up with me (online >_<) and blaming it on my cheating and hid the fact that she was with the druggie. Then somebody else told me she was with the guy and so I called her up and got the facts straight. I felt horrible all day and felt as if worthless. None of her friends saw her as a cheater or thought she would do that especially since she always talked about how perfect me and her were and she seemed so attached to me.
So this sucks and I got cheated on twice in a week. I told my mom she broke up with me because I was upset and she wanted to know why and then she's like "aw, that's sad...let's go to the humane society and get a doggy" and I just stared at her. Then we went and there's a dog we want but have to check in again.
But does her two cheatings, which were only making out, match up to my having sex? I mean, sex is a lot more than cheating but she made out once, we promised never to cheat again and I trusted her and she does it a few days later, obviously not learning a lesson from the first time. She broke promises and trust and respect. Does it add up or do I still have one over?

Cheating is cheating is cheating. The confines of your relationship define what cheating means to you guys (because that varies based on relationship). I'd say once you had sex with your ex you should have just ended it then. i don't blame her for hooking up with the other guy (PS I think she probably did more than "make out" ) because, as someone above me said, you broke the initial seal. Her cheating on you was probably just an attempt to make herself feel less worthless after what you did.

Seriously, cheating is cheating. If your current girl kissed a guy you should've kicked her in the baby maker and been like 'filfthy wench leave my sight before i own thee!', then proceeded to go to your ex-girlfriend, cry and play the sad guy role in order to have sex and add a ultra mega super boost to your confidence, then find a new girlfriend that won't cheat on you so you won't have to cheat on her when she kisses other guys.
And this is why you should always wear protection.

Sex is, in my opinion, a very large personal deal. Of all the people I know of that revolve around me seeing them in class only about one in six of them have had sex at least once. Yours truly has taken a vow of "No sex till marrage" if and when that happens, considering I try practicing what I preach.
I know you to be a good guy though temptation ('Desire' for those of you who read my rant >.<) fucks everyone in the end... or has them do the fucking... either way I know where you're coming from. What was the reason you and your ex broke?

Yeah, I lost myself to lust when I was woken up in the middle of the night by my ex. I wasn't thinking and screwed myself over.
Now I talked to the one who cheated on me and she tells me even though we're broken up she still wants to be close to me, like a best friend. but see, I like her...a lot and don't think I can deal with that because I'll still want to be with her.
Yeah, I cheated, but I learned my lesson when doing so. I never want to do it again. I literally threw up after doing so because I felt so bad and was so scared for the both of us. I was so happy she didn't kick me to the curb like she should have, and I told her she should have but she didn't want to.

Forget trying to balance things out. You both cheated, end of story. The problem with one person cheating and confessing is that the other will either break up with you or go out and cheat to "call things even." Very rarely do they just accept the fact, forgive you, and move on. Fact of the matter is, your girl will probably just keep cheating on you and citing that instance as an example and nothing she does can ever compare to you having sex. This is because of one of two things: she either likes this druggie guy, or she's so upset with you that she wants to get back at you any way she can.
I agree with Waff. Leave new girl and hook up with old girl. But a heartfelt apology wouldn't hurt. Hell hath no fury, y'know. Might come back to bite you in the ass.

Here's the update:
After she broke up with me, my newest ex kept seeing the druggie she cheated on me with and hung out with him every day. Yesterday we had a fight kind of because I was upset and brought it to her attention, she was upset and just wanted to be happy. I accused her of not really feeling what she said because she moved on so quickly, she got angry, we don't talk anymore. Today at school everywhere I see her the druggie is with her. I felt like I was dying.

It was the worst feeling ever, and it made me want to scream. >_< It got gradually better after awhile though, and soon I began talking with my ex. =) Of course I didn't talk to my ex until three or so months after we broke up. XD
