Dead Rising - Downy Peach - 01-12-2007

Does anyone have this game for the 360, or Wii?

I'm now looking for medication for that Brad guy, and I have been for ten minutes until recently, I found a grocery store. I can't beat the store owner, he's gone insane and he's got pitchforks and other garden tools spouting out the side of his trolli.

He's crazy difficult, I doubt I'll be able to get past this part for ages now.

=(

Anyway, I recommend this game to those who have Xbox 360. It's really immense, and the fact that you're a journalist makes it that much cheesier.

EDIT: Incase the name of the game didn't give it away, it's located around a Zombie-infested mall, sort of like Dawn of the Dead.

I was gonna get that but I got Tony Hawks Project 8 instead the other day :o

And, I've nearly completed Gears of War now.

>:)

It's really worth the buy. Killing Zombies has never been funnier. You can smack them into each other with a baseball bat, and run them over with a lawnmower. The best I think is getting to a high place and watching them try to reach you. Sometimes they start climbing on each other.

x)

Dead Rising - Captain Silver - 01-12-2007

Yeah I've played it at my friends before.

Dead Rising - Dehan - 01-12-2007

I'd rather chew off my thumb to keep myself from playing those types of violent games...it does nothing but promote anger and violence against innocent people who we should be dedicated to protecting instead of hurting!

Zombies are people too you sickos!

I played it...didn't like it much. Seemed too cheesey. I'd rather play Resident Evil or some other zombie killer.

Gears of War, is it really any good Tom or is it just another shoot em, duck and cover game?

I'm hesitant to get a 360 cause I want the ps3(when they get the kinks worked out and the price goes down), and theres nothing on the 360 that I Really want to play except Fable 2, and that comes out in march I think.

And I won't need a 360 since it'll come out for PC.

Dead Rising - Captain Silver - 01-12-2007

Gears of War is amazing. It isn't just like, "OMFG DUCK AND SHOOT", serious dude. Get it.

And, Dead Rising > Resident Evil

Dead Rising - Dehan - 01-12-2007

I'll have to get a 360 first...which i will not be doing since you just tthrew a math equation in my face...good day sir.

Dead Rising - Downy Peach - 01-12-2007

You played it but you don't have an Xbox 360? I assume you either didn't have much time to play it, being as though it wasn't on your own console, or you played the Wii version. If you played it on someone else's, I'd recommend you fully buy it before making a definite opinion, it's really a good game, and really addictive.

Gears of War is good too, the graphics are, "Shit my pants," graphics. There's these giant locusts, I've completely forgot their name, but you need to call upon a laser from a craft above to kill it, because it's basically undead, and massive. It charges at you to, sort of like a Rhino.

Dead Rising - Dehan - 01-12-2007

stayed a few nights over at my cousin's house, he's got a 360...i didnt like the game. I think I'll rent G.O.W and go to my cousin's house and play it. It looks amazing but eh...thats like the only game on the 360 I want to play, if anything else comes out I'll go for it. But for now I'll chill.

Dead Rising - Captain Silver - 01-12-2007

Oblivion is good too.

Dead Rising - Saz - 01-12-2007

Oblivion is the ultimate game, seriously I've played alot of games but Oblivion has to be my all time favourite.

I got Gears Of War yesterday for my birthday, only played on it for an hour or so, usually I don't like FPS but this game is something special. It would be better if I could play on Xbox Live co-op campaign and all that jazz, but still it's pretty fucking awesome.

Dead Rising - Vegeta - 01-12-2007

To beat the store owner ("VANDALS IN MY STORE!?!") you're going to need good weapons. Which leaves you two options.

If you get the "Out of Control" mission where they're telling you to stop the rollercoaster do it. You get the best weapon in the game from that boss.

The easier way to go is to bring a SMG and a Katana. In the first area right when you come out of your safehouse thing go to the right. There's stairs here, use them to jump onto the overhang above the stores to your right. At the end of this is an SMG.

Take the stairs again and head upstairs and to the left. There's a resturant type place up here with unlimited orange juice. Jump over the side onto the awning and there should be a katana on one of them. Look before you leap though.

I don't really have time to do another mission, the Medicine Run is on Red, aswell as that. From previous experience, with my weapon being a baseball bat, it might take a long time. I'm doing good for health though, with all the coffee cream and apples.

I have got Out of Control as a mission though.

Dead Rising - Vegeta - 01-12-2007

You're going to have to die and start over a few times. You really need the levels up to be able to complete the story.

Real Mega Buster ftw.

Actually, I have input. Don't take a gun and hide on top of the aisles because he turns around and shotguns you. Let him come at you, dive out of the way and use your handgun or SMG to shoot him, and if he gets stuck and you happen to get a good melee shot in, make it with the katana like Waff said. But again, don't get too far or he'll shotgun you, even from like across the store. "Clean-up, aisle six."

I spent almost 10 hours playing through infinite mode in order to get 5-day and 7-day survival (2 real hours = 1 in-game day) and my friggin 360 froze at 4 days, 22 hours. Talk about never playing this game again ever.

I'm gonna go play Dead Rising now.

I've got Oblivion ready for when my new desktop arrives next week. She's a real beauty. Can't wait to get my hands on her.

What other games are good for the 360 besides GoW and Dead Rising (the two I've heard most about)? I'm considering getting one, but I'm not sure whether to hold out for more games/lower price or not.

Dead Rising - Captain Silver - 01-12-2007

Halo 3, and Wars shall be good.

I've been mostly playing Gears of War and Saints Row sometimes.

PGR3 or Test Drive Unlimited is good if you like racing games.

Dead Rising - Saz - 01-12-2007

There's also Lost planet, which is supposed to be good. Oh and Blue dragon, (I think that's what it's called) that's supposed to be an epic rpg.

My brother's mate has Oblivion for the 360. The graphics are godlike. It purely defines the word beautiful when speaking in reference to a video game. I had it on the PC, which because of my graphics card, really limited the experience.
