My gf's dad made me watch a video of him lol. He's pretty awesome. I was going to say Buckethead ranks up here, based on his skill and his variety, but I listen to him and I realize he just plays really well, really fast. I dunno. He's just really weird.
I might just be bitter because I still haven't beaten Jordan on GH2 >_<

What was so great about Pete Townsend? I never really got it.
I expected a lot more people to have Eddie Van Halen in their list. That 2 minutes of Eruption solo is all I needed to put him on mine.

Yeah, some of the artists only needed one song to be on my list. For example:
Kim Thayil's solo in Black Hole Sun is top-notch. Also Eruption, as you said.
