Waff's XTREME Arcade - Vegeta - 03-22-2007 Alright, so I'm building my own Arcade Cabinet and running MAME. So I can run most games on it. I'm looking for suggestions on games to make sure I get. 4 players is a HUGE plus, as this is going to be a 4 player cabinet. Oh, and it's probably better if they're a little bit older because the newer games are harder to emulate, at least the 3D games don't seem to work with MAME. Games I'm running for sure: Altered Beast Air Busters Art of Fighting Afterburner II King of Fighters Bucky O' Hare X-Men Knights of Valor Golden Axe II Pac-Man Gigawing Gunbird 1 & 2 Bomberman Capt America and the Avengers Metal Slug 1, 2, 3, 4, X Also, discuss sweet arcade games. Waff's XTREME Arcade - Reijin - 03-22-2007 You have Bucky O'Hare on there. Win. Waff's XTREME Arcade - Captain Silver - 03-22-2007 Primal Rage I think it was, yeah that game was awesome... arcade wise. Waff's XTREME Arcade - Super Buu - 03-22-2007 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! I can't believe you forgot that for four-player games. I would have suggested Metal Slug, but you've got them ... all. XD Though you wouldn't be able to play this because it has a trackball, the arcade game I remember most vividly was what was apparently called 'SegaSonic the Hedgehog'. I remember when I was a kid I tried to find anywhere that had the same machine, but I only ever saw it once. I was like, 8 or something ridiculous, and with my brother and my dad we had 3 players. It was awesome. Waff's XTREME Arcade - Metal Teemer - 03-22-2007 Simpsons Arcade Turtles in Time EDIT: Can't forget about Star Wars Arcade Waff's XTREME Arcade - Bojack - 03-22-2007 X-Men 2: Clone Wars Streets of Rage TMNT: The Hyperstone Heist Waff's XTREME Arcade - Vegeta - 03-26-2007 I've got all the wood cut out and I'm working on sanding the edges. The buttons are on their way and I need to figure out what to paint on the cabinet side... Waff's XTREME Arcade - Bojack - 03-26-2007 "Pussy Wagon" Waff's XTREME Arcade - Vegeta - 03-26-2007 Haha, no. I need to make a collage of video game characters in photoshop to paint on there. I should make a workshop thread and see if I can get some help for it too. Waff's XTREME Arcade - Bojack - 03-26-2007 My Desktop wallpaper is kickass: http://fightingstreet.com/folders/downloadsfolder/UdonSFIIwp.jpg Waff's XTREME Arcade - Vegeta - 03-30-2007 I have in progress photos to post. The buttons should arrive tomorrow morning and then I'll have everything I need. Waff's XTREME Arcade - Piccolo Daimoun - 03-30-2007 Marvel VS. Capcom 2. It's not technically 4 player, but you could just switch off the stick and buttons when the time comes. Waff's XTREME Arcade - Violet - 03-30-2007 Galaga? Waff's XTREME Arcade - Uno - 03-30-2007 Gauntlet Waff's XTREME Arcade - Raditzu - 03-30-2007 Quote:Originally posted by Piccolo Daimoun The games don't have to be four-player, Waff just wants to get as much use out of the four sticks as possible. Waff's XTREME Arcade - Dehan - 03-30-2007 Virtual On. That game is fucking great. Kind of reminds me of a beefed up Gundam back in the day. Waff's XTREME Arcade - Vegeta - 03-30-2007 The buttons arrived today, except for one joystick. It shipped today and should be here early next week. Waff's XTREME Arcade - Aero - 03-30-2007 Street Fighters 2 Capcom vs. SNK 2 Marvel v. Capcom 2 Waff's XTREME Arcade - Raditzu - 03-30-2007 Quote:Originally posted by Turles Virtual On is actually the best arcade game ever made, but it loses a lot of the experience without the special cabinet. Waff's XTREME Arcade - Vegeta - 03-31-2007 Quote:Originally posted by Raditzu Yeah, you can buy those sticks though. But the game isn't supported in MAME yet. ![]() Bought wiring and shit just now... going to work on the CP layout and then start drilling. |
