Yeah, he's my favorite author, but I have no idea what this woman is saying about him. She's just fucking HOT.

On that note, he died today. May he rest in peace.

What the fuck? Are you kidding me? =|

Yeah, it's true. Dead at 84... head injuries from a fall. Same way my dad went out. D=

This really fucked with my disposition. Vonnegut was the greatest writer of the second half of the twentieth century. My favorite has to be Slaughterhouse Five, Breakfast of Champions a close second. Slaughterhouse Five is probably my favorite novel actually... it taught me about mortality, regret, and how to be happy. He is actually the cornerstone of who I want to be as a writer. Now he's finally reunited with his parents, in that place where

"Everything is beautiful, and nothing hurt."

God Bless You, Mr. Vonnegut.

Hmm...
My Friends have read some stuff by him, I'm not much of a fan though.
More of a Darren Shan type a' guy.

Some say that his Sirens of the Titans is better then Slaughterhouse Five. But I can`t be a judge of that since I have yet to read any of his work (allthough I should).

Still, it is always sad when a good writers gets his pen taken away from him by death. Like I said, may he rest in peace.

All his stuff are cult classics. The person that turned me onto Vonnegut said their favorite was Cat's Cradle, and a lot of others say it's Breakfast of Champions. It's more about your personal reaction to the themes of the book, and not about which had better writing. He's too consistent for there to be a clear favorite from a technical standpoint.

The only thing I can compare is the amount of doodles in each book. BoC had the most (one every couple of pages), Slaughterhouse Five had a few (only a handful throughout the whole booke), and Cats Cradle had none.
