[PS] Barracks - Burter - 05-16-2007 Quote:If you've been accepted, you will be escorted to a private barracks via an elevator. In the barracks there are 44 beds, numbered 1-44. You can meet, greet and strategize here. You can also still check out books from the DA Library via one of the attendants. You can also use the attendants to shop [PS] Barracks - Android 17 - 05-16-2007 ?Master of the house!? Seventeen shouted incoherently as he jumped from table to table in the bar?bottle of vodka in hand. It had been about fifteen minutes since the android had arrived on the planet, and in about a third of the time, he had managed to drink himself into a drunken stupor. Now well under the effects of the vodka and whiskey coursing through his system, the android found himself completely oblivious of the group of people who had accumulated around him to watch his idiocy unfold. With a gleeful trill, Seventeen hopped off one of the wooden tables and landed in the middle of a crowd of bewildered people. Smiling as widely as humanly possible, the android put an arm around one of the nearby strangers and then took a swig from the glass bottle in his other hand. Although the cybernetic warrior?s breath was potent enough to down an ox, the group of potential contestants didn?t seem to mind. ?Seventeen?? A voice interjected just as the android was on the verge of beginning a conversation with his newfound chums. ?Fuck?? The onyx-haired fighter chuckled, sliding his hand off of the man?s shoulder. Pivoting around as he usually did when needing to confront someone behind him; the android suddenly let out a groan and shuddered as his balance teetered on the verge of failure. After placing his arms out to his sides in an effort to steady himself, the cybernetic warrior cracked a smile at the man who had addressed him. ?Me?? The onyx-haired drunkard inquired. ?Yes, sir,? the man said, eying the inebriated android nervously. ?I need you to come with me now. You have been selected as the twenty-third competitor in Dante?s Abyss, and you need to report to the barracks to receive your weapon and supplies,? the worker said with an awkward smile as he gestured toward a nearby lift with one of his hands. ??Bout damn time!? Seventeen yelled joyfully?punctuating the moment of bliss by giving the sheepish man a hearty slap on the shoulder. Unfortunately for the android, he had underestimated his strength, and with a grunt, the worker toppled onto the floor. The machine-hybrid began to chuckle, but upon further inspection, he noticed that the man wasn?t playing a gag on him. ?I didn?t do that,? Seventeen declared as he pointed toward the crumpled pile of man. After verifying that no one was paying him much attention, the android began to whistle and slowly slink his way over to the lift. Once he was a few feet away from the door, Seventeen lurched forward and collapsed into the metallic chamber. As he groaned, the door slid shut and the elevator began to descend. In the meantime, the cyborg twitched and writhed in an effort to get off the cold floor of the tiny, steel box. ?Eureka!? Seventeen shouted as he vaulted off the metal floor and returned to an unsteady standing position. Although he had met success in one degree, the sudden arrival of the elevator at the barracks heralded the android?s subsequent downfall. With an obnoxiously loud beep, the lift struck the bottom of its shaft. Almost immediately, Seventeen let out a groan and pitched backwards, but just as he was about to hit the doors of the elevator, they slid into the wall. The cyborg hit the floor outside the barracks with a resounding thud. A string of incoherent obscenities poured from his maw as he stared up at the overbearing florescent lights that dominated the drab ceiling of the barracks. For one reason or another, there were at least three times as many light fixtures as Seventeen would have deemed necessary. ?Balls,? the cyborg groaned as he stared at the churning amalgamation of white and gray that loomed overhead. The android let out a sigh and closed his eyes to the madness, but regrettably, Seventeen had overlooked one simple detail when he decided to take a nap whilst lying half in an elevator. There was a warning beep, and then the dense metal doors of the lift slid out from the walls and slammed into the android?s bony legs. Although the safety features of the elevator triggered the doors to instantly retreat back into the wall, their damage had already been dealt. With a visible expression of agony plastered across his pallid countenance, Seventeen dragged his legs out of the elevator and used a nearby bed to pull himself up to a standing position. Much to the chagrin of the android, he appeared to be the only contestant in the room. No matter?it just meant he had more time to sleep and lollygag before all the murder and death began. Although he was already starting to sober up, the machine-hybrid was still somewhat enjoying his stay. With a faint smile upon his face and the help of a nearby assistant, Seventeen hunted down the bed that bore his number and proceeded to fall asleep a few seconds thereafter. [PS] Barracks - Saz - 05-17-2007 "Aaahahaha, look at this puny weakling!" A brawny, red skinned, reptilian-looking contestant in waiting slurred as he took another large gulp of his alcoholic beverage. "I bet I could snap you in half without breaking a sweat" The incoherent being spat, continuing his verbal onslaught towards the blue alien. Sazuaa, who had been doing his best to ignore the intoxicated alien, just stood silently in the corner of the bar, trying to keep himself to himself and keeping a watchful eye out for some of his potential opponents in the oncoming contest. There was no doubt in his mind that he could quite easily destroy the muscular being, but deemed him not worth the effort. And at any rate the last thing he wanted to do was to get kicked out of the competition because he killed a fellow contestant before the game had even began. "What's wrong?! You got nothing to say? Ahaha!" Just when the blonde haired non-transformer felt he was about to snap, a fresh faced, smartly dressed human came walking up towards him. "Mister Sazuaa?" "Yea" Sazuaa replied bluntly. "Oh, well it?s my pleasure to inform you that you have been accepted to be a competitor in this years Dantes Abyss competition. Congratulations. Follow me and I'll lead you to the elevator which will take you to the private barracks for the fighters who've been chosen to compete in the tournament." "What the hell!" The familiar brash voice of the drunken warrior yelled out in anger. "How did this pip-squeak get accepted before me?!" The large-framed reptilian being snarled as he clumsily got up off his seat. Sazuaa simply turned away and followed the attendant, leaving the brute to wallow in his drunken stupor. "Hey! Don't turn your back on me you..." The alien lunged forward and went to grab Sazuaa?s shoulder, but before he had the chance the non-transformer swiftly twisted his body around and grabbed tightly onto the reptiles wrist causing him to wince in agony. "Ah, AH. Let go of me" the red skinned alien slowly fell to his knees as Sazuaa increased the pressure on his wrist. "Please... Let go." "You're pitiful. I hope for your sake you don?t get accepted to compete in zhis contest, because in all honesty you wouldn?t last longer than a couple of seconds. Zhis tournament is for true warriors, not posers like you." Sazuaa released the muscular brute and left him to nurse his bruised ego as he followed the attendant to the lift. ***
After afew seconds in the elevator Sazuaa had reached his destination. The metallic door of the elevator slowly slid open to reveal a drab room full of single beds and little else. Sazuaa could see only one more fighter in the room, but the beings visage was hidden as he lay face down on his bed in a deep slumber. "Well here we are. You're contestant number twenty two. On your bed you will see your survival bag which contains some vital equipment if you?re going to survive out there on your own. Also inside the bag is your randomly assigned weapon. Little tip though, it would be wise not to show the other combatants what weapon you have. Just some friendly advice from me to you, do with it what you will." The man gave the blue alien a friendly smile and a nod before hastily making his exit. Sazuaa walked up to the bed numbered twenty two and sat himself down on the hard mattress. He was starting to feel the tension, he knew it would not be long now until the game began. As much as he was excited about the battle and the chance to show what he could do, he couldn't banish the thought of once again experiencing the bitter taste of defeat. Only time would tell where he would end up, all he could do for now was to be patient and wait for the battle to begin. [PS] Barracks - Orion - 05-17-2007 OOC: Sorry Gramps, I understand you've been short of time, but I need to rp to keep my game hopes alive. IC: The elderly man was about to educate Koola on the 'Do's and 'Do not Do's of speaking to him, when a Syntech employee walked up from behind them and tapped them on the shoulder. The changeling spun around on the barstool instantly. "What?!" he snapped. "Koola? Grandpa Gohan?" she asked, unphased. Still boiling, the two nodded in acknowledgement. "Since you two have been selected for the Dante's Abyss tournament, you are now required to move to the barracks. Follow me, please." "And what if I don't like being ordered around by bossy female monkeys?" the Icer retorted. "Then you'll be disqualified." She had her fill of the belligerent patrons today. "Simple as that." "Come on, you young whippersnapper," Gramps beckoned, getting off his stool and following the Syntech staff member. Koola grunted. "I'm swallowing way too much pride." ----- The two were led to an elevator. Once all three were inside, the attendant slid a metallic cover beneath the floor buttons, revealing another secret compartment. Her finger pressed the large button labelled with 'DA', lighting up red as the doors closed. After a short descent, the doors opened. "Here we are," she said with false cheeriness. "Enjoy your stay." She pushed them out and the doors closed. Gramps and Koola entered a massive room filled with beds, each stickered with a number ranging from 1 to 44. The changeling prince stood still for a moment, trying to remember his number. "Twelve!" he exclaimed in triumph. "...?! Do you mind?" old man Gohan stated firmly. "I was talking to you. Geez, I thought young people were supposed to have good hearing." "Oh, you were talking?" Koola asked in ignorance. He didn't mean to anger Gramps further; he genuinely wasn't listening. "Oh, and before you starting ranting again, do you mind if I find my dad? I think he's around here somewhere." OOC: Do what you will, Gramps. [PS] Barracks - King Cold444 - 05-17-2007 Returning to the sounds of life Cold was, no sooner, bombarded by a roaming lot of miscreants. They wore uniformed attire and gestured wildly to him, talking amongst themselves in a quite evident fashion. Either they were village people or staff, either way they were a nuisance. "King Cold, follow us." One of them, a woman, spoke for the lot, but hadn't managed to convince the changeling. "Right..." Cold brushed past them, with their biggest man reaching nearly half his height. There was nothing they could do to force him to do what they wished. "No, we need to get fighters situated in the barracks. The contest is going to start shortly and we need to get you prepped for the ventures ahead of you." She'd said. Cold simply gazed from one of her partners to the next, considering how to go about injuring them should they both attempt to grab him at once. "Your weapon and supplies await you." "Don't you guys have a bar around here somewhere? I know I heard drunken singing." Cold asked, though by now he was walking amidst their triangular formation. "Number eighteen, King Cold." The woman had mumbled, jotting something down as they ease into the elevator. Cold had to crouch somewhat, despite the extended accomadation. It was over too soon, with a plummet into the fathomless depths then a jolting stop where Cold's horn ended up goring through one of the white-shirted mens leg. They'd shoved the changeling into the barracks, then disappeared forever behind the closing doors. "Number eighteen huh?" Cold mumbled, recalling the womans musings. The barracks were already occupied by a select few that had managed to scramble here before he himself, but they were the least of his worries. None of the beds could physically contain him. He'd heard someone talking of manners and good hearing so he turned to give scrutiny to who happened to be in the barracks with him. The wholehearted arrogance that followed was all too familiar. So he approached. "Well, well... long time no see old-timer." His dark lips curled upwards when he greeted the wizened veteran. His heartbeat raced in his chest, anxiousness to test his prowess once again. He acknowledged the changeling as well, with a nod. "Son." [PS] Barracks - OldPikkon - 05-18-2007 OOC: Continued after the spar with Kami in the Dojo Pikkon jogged out of the Dojo, he could see Kami down the street following the two officials who came to take the warriors to the barracks. Quickly catching up Pikkon stayed a few metres behind Kami and continued to follow the officials. ?I wonder where the barracks is,? Pikkon thought to himself. The officials led the two warriors deeper into the city. They soon stopped in front of a large glass building. They waited for the two warriors who where following to catch up. Standing just behind Kami Pikkon looked up and down the glass building. ?Strange place for a barracks,? Pikkon commented. The officials grinned at each other. The smaller official began to speak, ?The barracks are located inside, if you would be so kind, please follow us inside,? he said as he opened the large glass doors and walked inside, Pikkon following closely behind. Inside the building, the smaller official looked at Pikkon ?You will follow me,? he stated and began walking towards an elevator in the left wall of the building. Pikkon followed, the other official and Kami stood silent in the lobby. Pikkon glanced back at Kami, ?Next time hey,? he said with a little smirk. He didn?t know what would happen the next time they met, which could very possibly be extremely soon with Dante?s Abyss only days away. Entering the elevator behind the official Pikkon closed his eyes, he listened to the official push a button on the elevator control pad, and suddenly the elevator jolted into motion. Pikkon stood silent and still as the elevator plummeted down into the earth. The official turned towards Pikkon, flipping open his notepad he read for a few seconds and looked up at Pikkon. ?You sir have been assigned number #14, inside the barracks you will find your bed market with this number and beside the bed will be your survival pack which will also contain your weapon,? he said, also handing a small piece of paper containing the number #14 simply written to Pikkon. He listened intently as the official informed him of the situation and handed him the piece of paper. He realised that this mere TV show that he had stumbled upon was a serious endeavour and should not be taken lightly. The elevator came to a stop and the door slid open, Pikkon stepped out of the elevator and was confronted with a military style barracks. ?This is more like it,? he thought to himself. ?Good luck,? the official sneered as he closed the elevator door and disappeared from Pikkon?s life. ?I guess this is my home, until it begins,? Pikkon quietly said to himself. Moving through the barracks the green warrior read the numbers lining the beds on the right side of the barracks, 10, 12, 14. He stopped at his designated bed. Atop the bed sat a small pack. He picked up the bag and placed it onto the ground, ?I?ll go through that after I get some sleep,? Pikkon thought to himself as he laid down on the military issue bed. Before falling asleep Pikkon tried to come up with a few strategies that he could possibly implement during his Dante?s Abyss experience. A few good ideas popped into his head, and the following day he would deal with them, but until then Pikkon was at rest. [PS] Barracks - Uno - 05-18-2007 The large alien was munching on the handle of his 23rd glass, expressing great joy in the taste of the beer mug. Meanwhile, the bartender was looking through his cabinets, searching for any remaining glasses. He found that their were only half a dozen left, uneaten. He sighed as he looked up, and stared strait into the eyes of the unstoppable eating machine. The bartender shot back in surprise, as the pink monster smiled with shards of broken glass in-between his teeth. ?Dodoria want another!? the overweight creature cried aloud as several disturbed onlookers watched in disgust. The bartender smacked his head, wondering why he took a job serving a bunch of mindless fighters. He then remembered that he was getting paid in cash. A lot of cash. He smiled to himself before he slowly drifted back to reality, and looked into the disgusting face of Dodoria. ?What taking so long?? ?I?m sorry sir,? the bartender began, ?but I can?t keep giving you anymore beer mugs. We are almost out of glasses, and I need them incase somebody else wants a drink.? Dodoria was not pleased with this answer. He stood up from his seat and looked at the bartender with a deranged look in his eye. ?Dodoria no like answer. And Dodoria still hungry...? the insane beast began to say, grabbing the bartender by the collar. ?You do fine.? The bartender wanted to cry for help, but figured that any sudden movement would upset the angry giant even more. He tried picturing himself in a happy place, and thought of how much money he was making. He closed his eyes and awaited his impending doom with a happy thought. Luckily, a man dressed as an average butler appeared and patted Dodoria on the shoulder. ?Excuse me, sir, but are you Mr. Dodoria?? the polite servant asked. The pink cannibal put down the bartender, still immobilized by the thought of the incredible sums of money he would have after the tournament was over. The hulking pink numbskull looked at the correctly postured man and stared at him with a blank look. ?I have been asked to invite you to the barracks, for you have been accepted into Dante?s Abyss. Please follow me. This way.? Without thinking, Dodoria obediently obeyed the commands asked by the butler-like man. After trailing behind the man into an elevator, the gentleman pressed a button, and they were off. Dodoria looked around and wondered why he was even there. ?Yo, ?Suits?, what is Dante?s Abyss thingie?? The man looked at the lovable pink creature with a hint of disbelief. He then looked up at the ceiling, wondering how to answer that question. ?Well, it could be put as an extreme version of ?Survivor?. There are 44 contestants on an island, each with a bag filled with supplies, a map, and a weapon. Everyone is against everyone in a no holds battle royal until only one person is left alive. You catch all of that?? The gentleman looked over to the large pink man to see if he understood. When the man saw him, Dodoria was laying down on the elevator, fast asleep. The sleeping monster had his thumb in it?s mouth, gnawing on it with satisfaction. At that moment, the elevator stopped with a high-pitched ?Bring!? Dodoria shot up and yelled, ?Dodoria awake!? As he rose to his feet, the polite servant motioned him into the barracks, where the noticeable pink lummox looked out and saw several others who were talking or looking around. The gentleman began walking toward the beds, and the pink alien followed obediently. The man stopped at a bed entitled, ?No. 15" the man also pointed out the large bag underneath the bed. ?This will be where you stay until the game begins, Mr. Dodoria. And as for the game?s rules, I?ll have someone bring you a copy. You can read, right?? Dodoria put both of his fists onto his sides and stuck his face up in the air. He gave a quick smirk before answering, ?Dodoria read well, but speaks the goodest.? The butler-like man took that as a ?yes? and motioned for the ignorant warrior to help himself to the bed. After the man walked away, the still hungry fighter grabbed the pillow and took a big bite from its side. ?Tastes just like human!? ooc: Anyone is open to interact with Dodoria, if you would like. [PS] Barracks - Grandpa Gohan - 05-18-2007 Grandpa Gohan was frustrated with the young changeling?s ignorance, though he had learned over the years that ignorance was something the youth carried is vast quantities. He sighed and decided to let it go for now. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Koola talking with a familiar figure. He was tall and muscular, and not nearly as ignorant. The Icer was talking with someone the elderly fighter had met back in Conquest. King Cold; they had shared a conversation over a bottle of fine wine, and then worked together to swiftly defeat a Lieutenant of the opposing force. Could they really be related? He questioned himself, they did bear a resemblance of one another, and anything was possible. There was only one way for him to find out if they were indeed related. Gohan stroked his flowing white beard momentarily, contemplating on whether or not to go and reintroduce himself to the devilish looking man. After a moment he decided against it. Instead, he elected to find himself a bunk. There were many of them, 44 to be precise. He had been chosen to be in the tournament. The beds were numbered one to forty-four. He had been picked thirteenth, right after Koola. Gramps started at one and made his way down the line. He stopped at the cot that had a sign in front of it which read ?13?. This must be it. Up until now, he hadn?t really taken in the room. It was long and narrow, not to mention somewhat cramped. The walls were unusually boring and dull. The cots did nothing but help pull off the effect of a military barracks. He eyed his bed for a moment before it hit him like a ton of bricks. His survival bag was on it. He picked it up, it wasn?t as heavy as he suspected it might have been, but then again, this wasn?t going to be a month long camping trip. He was uninterested in what occupied the space within, at least at that moment in time. Gohan-jiisan set the bag back onto his bunk before looked casually eyed over the fighters which occupied, however he was careful to not make himself noticeable incase someone was casing him as well. There was an unlimited amount of potential in the room, so many fighters from all walks of life ? All of them with their own fighting style and techniques. The old man quickly came to the realization that this was not Conquest: It was far more dangerous. ooc: Life decided to suck recently, so trying not to go inactive. Anyhow, anyone can rp with gramps, do note that he's wearing what he is in my avie, but in silver instead of orange, but he physically looks liek the da pic I posted. [PS] Barracks - OldPikkon - 05-18-2007 ----------- Pikkon stood alone in unfamiliar surroundings. To the left he noticed two old crumbling buildings, and to the right he gazed upon what appeared to be a never-ending forest. The green warrior stood silently for a few seconds wondering where he was; his thought did not last long. BANG? Suddenly a huge dinosaur roared out from the forest, it was huge. Pikkon stood firm; the t-rex looking beast began running towards him, its tiny arms waving franticly. Pikkon laughed, but the best drew closer and closer. As it neared the green man it opened its mouth and? -------- Suddenly Pikkon woke up, he immediately sat up in bed, his eyes wide open. ?Holy shit,? he said to himself as he realised what had just happened. ?What a weird dream,? he chuckled to himself. As his eyes and his mind began to focus he remembered where he was, the barracks ? awaiting the beginning of Dante?s Abyss. Since lying down to sleep many warriors had entered the room. Pikkon took a moment to survey the competition. His attention drew quickly towards an extremely large creature standing in the middle of the room. The massively muscular figure was not familiar to Pikkon. He shuddered, not knowing that such warriors would also be entering Dante?s Abyss. In front of the large creature stood a smaller but somehow similar being. They where quietly talking amongst themselves. Pikkon wanted to learn more, he pulled himself out of bed and began to walk down the path dotted on each side by strong military beds. He walked past an old man standing near what Pikkon guessed to be his assigned bed, the old man?s eyes where also focused on the large figure standing about ten meters from their current position. Pikkon walked by, glancing at the old man, and then continuing towards the larger creatures. As he reached them he did not strike up conversation but simply walked past glancing at each of the two warriors, they returned his look but with more hostility than he had anticipated. He knew this would be no walk in the park. He continued past and soon noticed an even stranger warrior sitting perched on his designated bed. A large, fat purple looking thing sat on its bed ? eating its pillow. Pikkon chuckled again, ?Well at least not all the competition here are pure bred killers,? he said getting closer to the purple creature. The beast must have heard what Pikkon said, because he quickly threw down the half-chewed pillow and stood up tall facing the green man. ?What you say bout? me?? the creature asked angrily. Pikkon stood back shocked, thinking he had thought that and not said it. ?I said you look like a strong warrior, what is your name?? Pikkon replied with a small smile. ?Dodoria,? the beast answered. ?And I am Pikkon,? Pikkon added. The two warriors stood starring at each other; there was no friction between the two, but still the situation felt a little uneasy. ?What you taste like?? Dudoria asked. Pikkon slowly took a step back, and then turned around, shocked. He decided that the best thing to do whilst waiting for this competition was to keep to himself, if he was to talk to anyone, better to let them strike up the conversation, he was getting into to much trouble walking around. So he headed back towards his bed. Sitting down on bed number #14 Pikkon grabbed the survival bag that he had been supplied with, he looked around to make sure nobody was paying to much attention to him, nobody seemed to care they where all back doing there own things ? chewing pillows and such. So he decided to take a quick peek inside the bag. He opened the top only slightly and peered inside. The first thing Pikkon noticed was his weapon, ?I was wondering when I would get a weapon,? he thought to himself. Smiling, ?and this will do nicely.? He closed his bag having now learnt what weapon he would be entering combat with. And with newfound courage, he sat back on his bed and surveyed the room again. ?Not long now,? He muttered. OOC - feel free to interact whilst we wait. [PS] Barracks - Old Zangya - 05-18-2007 OOC: This post is continued from HERE. ?Come this way, Miss Zangya.? ?Hmm?? Zangya had been staring off into space just minutes before. Her mind had wandered back to her life before the competition. She had been an assassin, a murderer for hire. She wondered if that would all change throughout the competition. After all, it was a competition about killing your opponents?or, as they put it, dying after them?and she wondered if the competition would really succeed in changing her outlook on life at all. She?d entered the game just for fun, but would she actually go through a learning experience? ?I said, come this way,? she heard faintly as the perky voice of her attendant interrupted her train of thought. The woman was like the receptionist back at sign-ups; blonde hair, a happy-go-lucky appearance, and a truly optimistic personality. She shouldn?t be working at this competition. ?Oh, yes, of course,? Zangya replied dreamily, situating her bag on her shoulder more as the attendant led the way out of the winch-held lift. The pair entered the barracks, and Zangya looked around in delight to see that, in fact, she was the seventh one there. One of the other occupants, however, seemed to already be in a slumber; the raven-haired being seemed rather tired, and looked quite peaceful, as well. He donned the appearance of a human, but Zangya could tell better?mainly because his name was written on a plaque below his number. ?Android Seventeen? was his name. A cyborg; Zangya believed that that was interesting. Next, the Ader spotted several alien beings. Two which looked like Changelings, Icers if you will; they seemed to be related, as well, and then one blue man. There was also an elderly man standing about near the Changelings. Also, there was a green man, darker skinned than her; he seemed to look very Namekian, but Zangya could tell that he wasn?t. Lastly, there was a rotund pink man, with spikes jutting out from his body occasionally along his arms and head. ?Here you are,? the receptionist spoke bubbly, ?Is there anything else you?ll need?? ?No,? Zangya replied, ?Nothing for now, Abby.? In the short time that they?d been together, Zangya was satisfied that she?d at least been smart enough to look at the woman?s name tag. She felt it common courtesy to call people by their names; even if they were your enemies. But Abby was certainly not that. ?Alright,? Abby replied, ?Have a good night.? And with that, she left. ?I?m sure I will,? Zangya said, after she was gone. The Ader walked down the aisle of beds, noticing the android was on number twenty-three. Zangya found hers?number nineteen?and sat down on the not-so-comfortable mattress. Dissatisfied already, she shook her head, and then looked down to see a trash can with a note attached to it. It read: Personal belongings are of no need
So please be wise that my words you heed Drop your things in this can More await you in the master plan Under your bed, you will find A bag of toys, but please keep in mind: DANTE?S ABYSS 2007 HOLDS NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES CAUSED BY THESE Smiling, Zangya reached under the bed to find a rucksack, and she dropped her carry-all into the trash can. The trash can fell into the floor as a hole opened up, and then closed in it. Unzipping the bag, Zangya peered down into it at the contents. Everything seemed to be in order with what Abby had told her. Zangya then pulled out a set of dog tags?one that read the number ?19? on it, and the other that read her name, ?Zangya?, on it. Number nineteen?this was going to be fun. With that, Zangya stuffed the bag under her bed and then laid back to relax on her uncomfortable mattress. OOC: Zangya's keeping to herself right now, so if you want to try to pester her, she'll probably snap at you. However, I'm fine if you do that, so interact as you wish; just make sure to show her slight sense of sinistry and impatience for the competition to begin when you do so. [PS] Barracks - Banned Doma - 05-18-2007 (continued from HERE) From the start, Doma could tell this place was nothing like Utopia. There were large, hairy beings here who were picking fights and beating each other up, to lushes getting drunk and irritating others with their drunken song. There was even the occasional group that would pass by, their noses in the air as if they were having to endure a horribly smell right under their nose, walking past everyone with a 'hmph!' or haughty gesture. No. Doma wasn't in Utopia anymore, that much was for sure. When the announcement came that the barracks were prepared, he had picked up hi satchel and followed in line behind the others, who were muttering and still boasting about how well they felt they would do during the competition. Many of them sported bruises and cuts, apparently from brawling earlier and were fairly silent. He suspected most of them would probably just welcome the opportunity to relax and maybe catch a few winks after the long wait to get in. Upon entering the barracks, Doma went to one of the farthest beds and claimed it as his own, laying his stuff down on the bed. He was about to reach into the bag to pull out his Ocarina when he heard something that struck him as extremely odd. ?What you taste like?? Whipping around, Doma's eyes widened as he spotted an obnoxiously large pink pincushion with fat, purple lips surveying a tall, green warrior who was standing beside him, poised as if having asked a question, but regretting having made contact with the thing. The pink looked a lot like a pufferfish, only extremely pink. It reminded him of the 'divinity' candies they had shared as kids in Utopia, which made Doma snicker, earning an appraising look from the pink creature. Turning his head away quickly, Doma busied himself with getting his Ocarina out of the bag and raised it to his lips. As he blew into it, a single sweet, high-pitched tune emitted from it, causing everyone in the room to grow quiet. As he began playing it, his fingers moved deftly along the holes on the foreign flute, actively contributing to the beautiful and almost hauntingly soul-stirring tune most had heard in their lives. The tune sounded upbeat, but it had an odd feel to it that almost made the person hearing it want to cry and bawl like a baby, sending the urge to jump up and cheer at the same time. Feeling someone tapping on his shoulder, Doma drew the song to a gradual close then turned around. The tall green being from before was standing at him, looking at Doma with a look of both surprise and respect. "That was a nice melody you played there. The name's Pikkon." The green warrior said, extending a hand to Doma, which the elf eagerly took and shook. "Gamarou. Doma Gamarou. A pleasure to meet you." Doma returned, grinning. As he released the green warrior's hand, he sighed, fingering the runes that covered the Ocarina with a sigh. It had only been a couple of days since he had left Utopia, but he was already beginning to get homesick. The green warrior sat down on the bed beside him and Doma talked to him, telling him about the place where he was from, without mentioning any specific details. He told Pikkon about how the Elders of his home were wise and extraordinarily powerful, while even the young folk were taught how to protect themselves without resorting to violence. As he talked, Doma began to ease up, feeling more and more relaxed as time went on. Before he knew it, the bell sounded and two oddly dressed women came into the room, heading straight for Doma. Standing, his eyes widened as he smelled the delicious aroma coming from the dome-shaped tin lids over whatever was underneath. Smelled a lot like pork. Or maybe beef. "This was sent by a... mister 'Jiguro'?" the woman said, causing Doma to smile. His childhood Sensei was still looking after him, these many years later. "Yes, that would be for me," he said, accepting the plate with the tin and nodding respectfully to the women as they bowed and departed. Opening the lid, Doma was greeted with the wonderous sight of steamed vegetables, jumbo shrimp cooked with spicey, yet hearty spices, mashed potatoes and a small bowl of gravy to the side. A smaller bowl, full of rice, sat on the very edge. It was all Doma could do to hook the toe of his boot around a nearby nightstand and drag it in front of him, set the plate down, then fetch an extra chair. "Care to join me, Pikkon?" Doma asked, gesturing to the extra chair. "There is plenty food for both of us." [PS] Barracks - Kami - 05-18-2007 Kami walked over to his assigned cot. He glanced around quickly and looked at the little footlocker at the foot of his bed. He reummaged through the bad inside briefly, taking note of it's contents and then sealed everything back up tight. He didn't really need a nap, and wasn't particularly tired from the spar but had nothing better to do. He slowly set himself on the bed, taking care to run with the whole old guy faccade. He groaned as he pulled his feet up onto the bed and then slowly set his head down on the pillow. Here we go again... [PS] Barracks - OldPikkon - 05-19-2007 Pikkon sat silently on the bed as Doma conversed with the lady attendant who had just delivered a plate and a tin of beautiful food. Doma opened the lid of the tin; he glanced down at its contents and smiled. Pulling up a small nightstand besides his bed he placed two chairs around it. Emptying the tin?s contents onto the supplied plate, Pikkons eyes lit up as a real feast was presented before him. The sheer smell was enough to make Pikkons stomachs begin to rumble, he couldn?t remember the last time he was shown such beautiful food. Doma pulled up two chairs to the nightstand and turned to face the green warrior still sitting on his bed. "Care to join me, Pikkon?" Doma asked, gesturing to the extra chair. "There is plenty food for both of us." Pikkon was stunned; this new warrior he had met was by far the friendliest person in the room, who would decline such an invitation. ?Sure,? Pikkon replied pulling the empty chair out a little and sitting down. The kindness of this warrior was amazing he thought as he glanced over the food laid out before him. Pikkon had given respect almost instantly upon meeting this being called Doma. And now being offered food after such a short greeting was amazing he thought to himself. A newfound friend this Doma was sure to make. As the two warriors slowly picked through the food eating small bits at a time enjoying and savouring the flavour of every bite, there conversation turned to the impending start of Dante?s Abyss. Neither of them really knew what they had gotten themselves into before arriving at the barracks and being confronted by the mighty warriors who where also awaiting DA. Now that they had seen some of the competition, conversation soon turned to strategically planning, not so much to win, but simply to stay alive for as long as they could. The food had soon disappeared, and the two new found friends sat back in their respective chairs satisfied with the meal that had fuelled them. Pikkon with one hand rubbing his belly had a large smile on his face. He was content and happy, possibly the last time he would feel so with DA just around the corner. He turned to Doma. ?So how do you plan on handling yourself in DA when a confrontation arrises,? Pikkon asked inquisitively remembering what Doma had stated earlier. [PS] Barracks - Minoshia - 05-19-2007 Hardly being able to remember how in the hell he had gotten to the barracks was the least of the Konat?s worries at this point. He had woken up in a small cot, and on either side of him were strange men. It was like a horrible nightmare, no one wants to wake up looking at two male figures. Quickly he escaped the situation, leaping to his feet and making his way into the center of the social orgy that had formed in the barracks. Normally his reaction to the situation would be much different; normally it would involve the two random men being gutted into unrecognizable lumps of flesh. That act would then be followed by excess anger releasing onto the crowd in the form of energy, and thus death. Alas, he?d been here before, and managed to bottle his anger into a tight flask that lay hidden inside his mind. Plenty of killings would occur during the tournament. The warriors that lined the Barracks were unfamiliar to the prince, some he had seen before, some he had not. The cast was still missing some of the major universal powers, the saiyans Raditzu and Reijin, along with others. Also the room, at the moment, was completely absent of any and all allies. With nothing to think about, and no one to act towards, Minoshia let his mind wander towards his memories, his nightmares. His vision faded into a black, blank screen. His mind was like a cinema, playing the Konat?s favorite movies. For some unknown reason the memory of the war on Vegeta-sei flooded his mind, he was back in the streets of the Capital City. His hand plunging into the chest of the saiyan warrior, tearing through his sternum and clutching onto his heart, ripping it from his chest while it still beat. Randomly, as if he wasn?t controlling his thoughts, his mind wandered to the memory of Conquest, his body being destroyed by his nemesis, the hated Android; Seventeen. The Dark Prince snapped his eyes open, something was wrong. He would never willingly replay the memory of what occurred on Conquest, the failure, and the humility of it all. This memory had no reason to be in his mind, it had no purpose, it angered him. Something else triggered the vision, something nearby, something he hated more then anything else. And then he saw him, sleeping on his cot. Minoshia grinned, not thinking about his actions. His legs lifted him off his own bed, and he started to walk towards the Android. He wanted to tear his throat open, to shred his arteries here and now, to rid the tournament of his filth. But he found himself standing over the Android, without action. ?Seventeen.? Minoshia spoke in his cold, stoic voice. His rival?s eyes snapped open. OOC- Oh Snap! [PS] Barracks - Celipa - 05-19-2007 The elevator was scummy in Celipa's opinion, but she hadn't come to this competition for comfort. Standing next to a zoned out Bujin Celipa took in her surroundings carefully. The transformation from the bubbly and innocent saiyan to killing machine Celipa had taken place in an instant and here she stood in the elevator, a constant flow of adrenaline giving her an almost surreal feeling. The competition had set in and she knew that it was no more fun and games. A swarthy man in red waiter clothing operated the buttons of the elevator. He had a serious face and a take-no-shit attitude that made her reluctant to make conversation with him. His explanation of where he was taking them had consisted mostly of the word 'barracks' and an incoherent muttering. Celipa's thoughts were that he was a kill first and ask questions later kind of guy. The two didn't make good bed-mates. But before she had made a more solid opinion on the man the elevator had come to a shuttering and gut-wrenching halt. Then, they were both being ushered off. Celipa and Bujin found themselves gazing from the elevator threshold into a military-esque setup of fourty four beds lined up on each wall. This made her even more on edge, as those meandering about didn't look very friendly. Celipa leaned in towards Bujin, her mouth by his ear. "It looks like things are going to be fierce. I think we ought to stake out some beds." Bujin shrugged. "Ok," was the best he could muster as a response. As a pair of soldiers and no longer players of a game, Bujin and Celipa made their way to seperate beds. Celipa's bed was bed number four, which obviously was made to correspond with her assigned Dante's Abyss number. She felt as if there was now a weight on her shoulders with the officiality of it. Cameras were setup here and there that she could see...this was all going to be broadcast. She, number four, would have to win over her fanbase. What better place to start then here in the barracks? The saiyaness stood atop her bed and cupped her hands around her mouth. She took a deep breath and shouted out at the top of her lungs. "I'M GOING TO WIN THIS FUCKING THING!" she bellowed loudly. "AND ANY OF YOU WHO THINK YOU CAN BEAT ME, THIS IS FOR YOU!" She uncupped her hands from her mouth and proudly flipped the bird to the room at large. The saiyan also made sure that the cameras could catch a good view of her finger gestures, so that the viewers at home knew exactly what message she was trying to convey. She was here to win. [PS] Barracks - Android 17 - 05-19-2007 Amidst the sea of quiet black nothing, the android began to dream of days that he had long since passed. Inconspicuous images of people?good or evil?that Seventeen had trounced in order to get where he was today began to pass through his mind as he slipped further into the depths of his subconscious mind. Unfortunately for the android, the peacefulness of his sleep came to a depressing conclusion as more contestants began to file into the barracks. As more and more competitors entered the chamber, the ambient noise increased exponentially until it finally managed to tear the cyborg away from his nap. With an overdramatic yawn, Seventeen stretched out his arms and sat off the relatively uncomfortable cot that the kind people at Dante had set up for him. As the world started to come into focus, the machine-hybrid took some time to straighten out some of the wrinkles in his clothes. ?When?s this going to start?? Seventeen muttered as he scanned the barracks?mapping out all the new competitors that had amassed in the chamber during his nap. Some of them were people he vaguely remembered from previous Dante productions, but there was a fare share of fighters that were total strangers to the android. With a faint smile, the cyborg shifted his body and let his legs fall over the side of his cot. ?Hello there,? the timid voice immediately caught the onyx-haired warrior?s attention. Turning his neck sharply, the android arched his eyebrow at the women standing a few feet away from him. For a moment, he didn?t have the slightest clue why she was bothering him, and then Seventeen noticed the Dante logo on her fatigues and the duffel bag she was holding in her right hand. ?Are those for me, Ma?am?? The cyborg asked politely?eying up what could only be his survival bag. ?Yes, Sir,? the women said, extending the bag toward the seated android. Mouthing the words ?thank you,? Seventeen accepted his survival bag from the attendant and whisked her away with a brief motion of his right hand. ?Good luck,? she added politely before moving along her way. I wonder if they figured overly kind attendants would be soothing for people who are going to be dying very shortly. The machine-hybrid pondered as he took a moment to rifle through the contents of the cloth bag. With a hearty smile, Seventeen poked at the weapon the loving people at Dante had selected for him. This is sure going to make this one hell of an interesting vacation. The cyborg Once he was certain he had all the supplies he had been promised, the android sealed up the bag and threw it on the ground next to his bed. Shifting his feet back onto his bed, the android moved to get comfortable; however, just as he was closing his eyes, one of the loudmouthed contestants from the other side of the room started yelling like a idiot. "I?m going to win this fucking thing!" the woman bellowed loudly. "And any of you who think you can beat me, this is for you!" Seventeen could have sworn he had recognized the voice on one of his prior exploits, but when the name didn?t come to him for a few seconds, he decided that it was probably no one of any relative importance. Closing his eyes, the machine-hybrid shifted his body into a comfy position. ?Shut the fuck up!? Seventeen yelled?snickering softly to himself as he prepared to take another nap. After a few seconds, the android returned to the blissful blackness of his unconscious. In another annoying, unfortunate twist, the machine-hybrid was once again interrupted by the sound of encroaching boots. Opting to ignore the noise and try and salvage some more sleep, the cybernetic warrior simply continued to feign sleep. Just as he was almost back down for the count, he heard another voice?this one, however, was entirely too familiar. ?Seventeen,? the raspy voice hissed. As if acting on instinct, Seventeen?s eyes shot open the moment he heard the konat. With a faint smirk on this visage, the machine-hybrid stared up at the cruel, calculating face of his rival. ?Are you enjoying the festivities, Minoshia,? the cyborg said?his tone a mixture of intrigue and sarcasm. The konat scoffed and crossed his hands over his chest. From the expression on his face, it wasn?t hard for the android to denote that his adversary was still a big a prude as always when it came to these matters. ?Are you looking forward to the games?? ?Humph,? Minoshia grunted. Seventeen snickered at the konat?s seemingly characteristic indifference to everything, although he couldn?t really blame him for such a demeanor. After all, the cyborg knew that if it was possible, he would rip out Minoshia?s heart right here and now. It was ludicrous to play the sarcasm card to someone with which the android had such a vivid history. ?I will murder you if you give me even the slightest opportunity,? Seventeen whispered. Despite the venom in his words, the android spoke with a relatively peaceful tone of voice. ?I would expect you to do the same to me should I give you the chance,? the android added with a tranquil expression on his face. Even though there was nothing more said, the two warriors continued to stare at one another. Most of the nearby attendants were eying one another?trying to assess whether or not something physical was going to escalate out of the rather tense situation. Although they had a history laced with murder, treason, and overwhelming hatred, the two rivals did nothing more then stare at one another. [PS] Barracks - Bra - 05-20-2007 Waking up never usually sucked, but when the first thing one sees upon regaining consciousness is a tall, ugly man with an enormous facial scar and a rather strange look in his eyes, one begins to think that waking up could, indeed, suck. ?Who the fuck are you?!? Bra immediately growled, shooting to her feet and clasping her hand around the man?s throat. ?A-Are you... what the fuck have you been doing here?!? ?Waiting for you to wake up, of course.? replied the man, whose words were really only coherent in his mind, for the iron grip around his throat reduced his speech to little more than choking, wheezing sounds. Realizing this, the girl loosened her hold a great deal and asked him again. ?Waiting for you to wake up, of course.? the man answered once more. The princess offered him little more than a glare - one that told the man to keep talking, but not to try anything stupid. ?You see, I am one of the attendants. You?ve been selected for Dante?s Abyss. I?m to take you to the barracks... unless... er, unless you?d prefer to refuse the offer.? the game official explained, doing his best to keep from instinctually grabbing Bra?s arm, knowing she could crush his throat in a heartbeat - almost any of the fighters present could. ?Oh. Well... you shouldn?t have surprised me like that,? the halfling responded, letting go of the poor attendant?s throat. ?Yeah, let?s get to those barracks, then.? The official quickly brushed off the confrontation with a dignified nod, before clearing his throat and brushing off his suit slightly. He pivoted on his heel and strode out of the arcade, with Bra closely in tow. Heading to the elevator was a fairly boring affair, though there were a handful of intensely annoying men and women with cameras and microphones clamoring about the entrance to the lift. Growling softly, Bra did her best to merely ignore the idiots as they prattled on with their questions, each becoming more and more inane. All were dismissed. ?Do you think you stand a better chance of winning this time?? questioned one overly-inquisitive reporter. She leaned in toward the cyan haired empress, thrusting the microphone into her face as Bra recoiled in disgust. ?No, I don?t think I stand a better chance this time.? the demi saiyan angrily retorted. The reporter - whom Bra pushed past - seemed confused. ?So... you expect to lose?? the moronic journalist pressed. Finally, the heiress turned around and offered the inquisitive fool her full attention. ?Like I said: I don?t think I?m going to win, alright? I know I?m going to win.? Bra coldly stated. Her eyes burned with resolution, showing the reporters - and everyone who would see the footage from the cameras - that she obviously believed what she was saying. ?What about Raditzu?? ?What about Raditzu?? the cyan haired girl growled, walking into the elevator with the scarred official. The doors closed, and by now, the entire crowd of reporters was buzzing with questions which were at once silenced by the sealing of the lift?s steel double doors. The reporters would flock to the next contestant, but that was hardly Bra?s problem. ?I... apologize for their behavior. There isn?t much I can do about the reporters; the owners like their presence because it creates a sense of sensationalism amongst the spectators, you understand. After all, this game has to turn a profit, and it?s hardly a cheap contest.? the official explained, only to receive a furious grunt as a response. Finally, the doors opened, and Bra followed the scarred man to a bed within the large room, as several other contestants looked up to see the new arrival, and several more simply ignored her. The official stood to one side and gestured to the bed. ?This is yours. You?re welcome to speak with your opponents, but outright violence is strictly disallowed, unless you and the opponents agree to a friendly spar or some such. That?s about all there is to say; good luck.? the attendant stated, before returning to the elevator, leaving Bra alone. The princess took a seat on her bed, and seemed to be staring into space for a moment. She hardly paid the other warriors any attention, despite the fact that most seemed very formidable. Still, the girl was most concerned about Exosus? hold on her mind. Exosus was little more than a side-effect of her use of dark magic. Even so, this ?side-effect? had apparently been powerful enough to amass itself into a consciousness, which, although limited to Bra?s subconscious, was able to shape an environment around it and manage to sway the empress? will. Already she regretted offering Exosus the minute power she had given her, despite the fact that it hadn?t yet been abused. She sighed, then, and shifted her weight, sliding onto the bed. Her head hit the pillow, and she slid her hands between the two. She threw one leg over the other, and finally, felt comfortable enough to close her eyes, though she wasn?t nearly tired enough to sleep. ?I wonder what everyone else is up to...? she wondered aloud, though she was totally oblivious to the fact she had actually said it out loud. The gentle hum of several conversations being held at once created a sense of white noise all about her; a constant, unintelligible sound. It was far too gentle for what was going to happen, and it left Bra extraordinarily uncomfortable. People were going to die. Her life would be risked, but in the end, she would win. OOC: Go ahead and bug me if you want. [PS] Barracks - Bardock - 05-20-2007 The two burly Syntex employees led Bardock to an elevator. They stood to either side of him. One pressed a button and swiped a slide card. They folded both hands in front of them and stared blankly ahead. Bar generously swigged his whiskey, glancing up at the large gentleman. Pleasant and colorful elevator music played in the background. A ding rang out, the doors slid open, and one of the employees gestured. ?Dante?s Abyss barracks. You?ll wait here until the final player is selected,? he grunted. Bardock stepped out, and on his way, he flipped the empty bottle over his shoulder. The other employee whipped his hand out and effortlessly caught the flying glass object. ?Nice reflexes, boys,? the fighter commented. The doors slid closed. Bardock observed his new surroundings. It was no V.I.P. lounge, but he felt at home nonetheless. A female employee stopped him before he got very far. ?Number nine, Bardock? Here is your bag. This is very important to your survival on Dante. Now, if you please, I need to confiscate any contraband items you may have on your person,? she stated perkily. Bardock traded his personal items for the familiar Dante duffel. ?Your items will be returned to you when you have completed the game. Thank you, and good luck!? she chirped. Bardock?s eye twitched as she flashed him a perma-smile. He pivoted around and walked towards his bunk. He flopped down on the end, and opened the bag. Before he even unzipped it, he knew what it would contain: two day supply of bread and water, compass, map, scouter, random weapon. What he didn?t know was what his weapon was going to be this year. Bardock looked inside and pushed everything aside. He examined all the different parts, and looked at the instruction tag. He didn?t need it. He already knew how to use it. He zipped the bag back up and slung it over a shoulder. Bardock folded his arms over his chest and glanced around. Not many players were here yet. A few of them he recognized from last year?s contest, a few of them from other ?games,? and the rest he didn?t know at all. Not that it matters, he thought decisively. His eyes rested on a flurry of reporters gaggled around one contestant, who obviously seemed more important than anyone else in the room. He looked away, uninterested. An attendant walked past. ?Hey!? Bardock called out. The attendant paused. ?I saw a resource room downstairs. Get me some.? ?Any articles in particular, sir?? the attendant asked. ?Anything useful,? Bardock answered, swallowing a snide retort. Strategy wasn?t the brawler?s strong point, but he was going to need any and every possible resource to bolster his chances of winning. In the meantime, he had to come up with a game plan. The roughneck closed his eyes and tried to think. The attendant returned rather quickly and shook him. Although his initial impulse was to strangle the attendant, he restrained himself and grabbed what looked like a PDA instead. ?This article chronicles last year?s game, and lists all the profiles of this year?s current contenders. If there is anything else you require, please let us know.? The device was basic enough that he could operate it. He selected a battle highlights reel and pressed play. The first highlight was two characters Bardock didn?t really know: an orange-haired man and a fat saiyan. The blubbery fellow attempted to overpower the orange-haired man, but the human killed the saiyan with a piece of silverware. Embarrassing. Several more selections passed until the reel came upon the battle between two alliances. Bardock watched as he and others overwhelmed their opponents. He grimaced. That war was a mix of pride and disappointment. More conflicts followed. The saiyan was able to see himself in all of his fights, at all the best angles. That is, until he came to his final confrontation. A wide shot panned out between him and Raditzu, squaring off, a pistol versus a shotgun. Shots were fired, and then it switched to a first person view. There must have been a camera in his scouter. Once more, he stared down the barrel of Raditzu?s shotgun, until the screen flashed white and it moved on to the next clip. Jaw clenched, he finished out the reel to the very last battle. Raditzu overpowered a Super Saiyan 3 Reijin, whom Bardock had only associated with once or twice, for the win. Swallowing, he began to flip through the rest of the information. [PS] Barracks - Bujin - 05-20-2007 For a game that headlines death more than it does winning, the employees were surprisingly friendly. Even more surprising was the fact that the contestants within the barracks were even more nonchalant. As Bujin scanned the large room, he noticed that the faces he saw were smiling ? for the most part, anyway. Old friends and old attachments were meeting each other; perhaps for the last time before another Dante?s Abyss rolled around. It was actually kind of humorous the way they were greeting each other. The small man figured that when they were saying ?hello?, they actually meant ?I?m going to murder your ass when the game starts?. Regardless, Bujin entered the room with Celipa. Glancing over at his saiya-jin ally, he realized that she was probably making the same observations that he was. Forty-four beds lined the walls, and a number of them were already occupied. He had already been assigned the number seven, so scanning the wall of beds with his index finger; he pointed his sight to his respective bed. During that process, Celipa whispered something in his ear. He couldn?t understand what she was saying, but she quickly made her way towards a bed. As he took a step forward, he was stopped by a feminine hand on his shoulder. ?Lady, if you wanted some company, you should have just as --?? his voice trailed off as he turned around to see not a hot competitor, but a female employee. Oh well. ?Number seven Bujin?? she asked monotonously, continuing quickly as he gave a quick nod in confirmation, ?Here are your effects. If you have any personal--?? ?Don?t bother, I didn?t bring anything,? Bujin interrupted. Grabbing his bag and smiling politely at the eerily enthusiastic woman, he spun around and took large, exaggerated steps towards his bed. When he got there, he set his bag on the ground and examined the plain mattress in front of him. It was fairly simplistic, with the standard white sheets, white pillow, and white blanket ? a big change from the extravagantly pink beds he saw at Velveteen?s place. Peeking under the blanket and sheets, his mattress didn?t look too thin. In fact, it looked mildly comfortable. So, taking a step back, he did what any mature adult would do. He jumped high into the air so he could bounce on the bed below. Sadly, his perception of the mattress had failed him. With a loud smack, he plopped down on the mattress, and hit his knee on the metal bar that created a large bump on the bed. Grabbing his pseudo-injured knee, he rocked back and forth on the thin blanket. ?Dammit!? he screamed, causing a few of the contestants to give him a quick glance. Slowing his rocking to a halt and rolling over onto his stomach, he heard a familiar giggle. Bet that hurt, Rae observed warmly. You really oughta look at things more closely. ?Quiet,? Bujin?s muffled voice sounded. ?It looked alright.? Precisely my point, Rae sighed. Things aren?t always what they appear to be. You would do well to note that. ?What?s with you all of the sudden?? Bujin rolled over. ?I don?t think I like you as much when you?re serious.? Bujin, listen to me! Rae cried. You have to keep in mind that this is just a game to them. Any alliance you have may not last. ?Fine, fine,? Bujin sighed, ?I?ll be careful, okay?? Rae didn?t respond. After waiting for a few more moments, Bujin shrugged and got up. He realized that his childish nature had taken hold, and he had neglected to even look at the bag ? let alone open it. So, taking hold of the zipper, he unzipped the bag and dug through the contents within. He pulled out the bread and water, the scouter, the map, then compass, and then he sat back and stared at the remaining item. ?So that?s my weapon, eh?? Bujin grinned to himself. What is it? Rae inquired. ?It?s a--?? Bujin was cut off by a triumphant scream from a familiar saiya-jin voice. Looking to his right, he saw Celipa standing on her bed, flipping off everyone in the room. Laughing, the small blue man hopped up and sauntered towards his female friend, smiling like an idiot. ?You don?t stay hidden long,? Bujin smirked. [PS] Barracks - Joe Android 15 - 05-21-2007 "Is there a Fifteen in here?"came a squeaky voice. The voice came from a small man. A man that was almost equal height with Android 15. "I am. You are?" asked the android while buttoning his shirt. "Errr... Sir, you have been accepted by the office. You are now an official DA contestant, you have been accepted as number twenty if I am not mistaken." said the small man. "Finally..." said the android as he got up to his feet, and took his wine bottle out of his pocket. "Now if you'll follow me. Sir" said the guy making his way out of the dojo. The android followed him with a hint of excitement. He had always dreamed of fighting with some of the finest martial artists throughout the world. It would also be a good place to find Goku. 15 knew Goku well, and knew that he would not give up on a chance to come to a tournament like this one. "Is this your first DA appearance?" asked the worker as he led Fifteen back into the lobby. "Um.. yeah" said the small android snapping back to reality. "Thought so, you didn't seem familiar" As they walked to the other end of the whole building, the small android found himself in front of a huge elevator. The small android examined the elevator carefully, scanning it to make sure it wasn't a threat to himself. :: Ding :: The cyborg fell on his butt, surprised by the massive sound this wierd machine has made. "Sir... The elevator is here" said the small man's timid voice. "Okay." said the suspicious warrior. He looked as the guy stepped in and pressed a few buttons, motioning that the elevator was safe and for the cyborg to come in. The android walked in uneasily, still scared by the thought of the huge monster he was now inside of. The engine started rumbling and the machine shot up. In an instant, the door opened to reveal a room. A big one, it was a whole new scene to Fifteen. "Well, here you go sir. Your bed is located at the end of the room, number twenty. Good luck in Dante's Abyss, I'm sure you'll need it" said the worker with a small sincere smile. The android nodded back, and watched as the monster devoured the nice worker. "Well... Better find that bed." he started walking along the lines of beds searching for his own. "twenty...... ummm.... twenty twenty..." The android felt a hard surface, he looked up to see a huge pink monster with spikes all over his head. "Bah! Me hungry" boomed the beast. The android backed away from the pink monster, and tumbled over a bed. He climbed up to his feet to find a sleeping being. A quite attractive cyan haired woman. "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING!" screamed the woman, losing all her beauty with that one scream. After some abnormal events that the cyborg encountered with most of the contestants. Now I am sure, Dante's Abyss will be very interesting. By now, the metallic fighter had finally located his bed. What a day... thought Fifteen as he wiped the sweat off of his forhead. He sat on his bed, and rolled into a ball. It had been quite a day for the small machine hybrid, and he was tired. The android rested himself on the massive pillow, he then pulled out his drink and took a small swig. Finally, Fifteen closed his eyes..... |
