Ever read any of the Forgotten Realms Books?
If so, by who, and which ones?
I've been reading the Legend of Drizzt series, I think most or all of it is written by R. A. Salvatore.
They are actually good and fun reads, if you havent read them, I would suggest you go out and get them a look at. Make sure you start with the first trio

I read The Hunter's Blades Trilogy, where the Dwarfs are god-like. Ugh, no I didn't, infact, I actually only read the last two, which was pretty stupid of me now that I come to think of it. I've never really read much of Salvatore since then, but what I have read of him helped me hate him. He killed Chewbacca in the Star Wars novels, proper bastard I tell thee.

The three you mentioned are the best and really the only ones worth reading. The icewind dale trilogy is alright though.

He's said it right here. Those ones are really the only ones worth reading, IMHO. Salvatore gets worse as he goes along with Drizzt.
