Pok?mon Special - Celipa - 06-10-2007

It's a manga, that I haven't read. But I've seen stuff about it and am very interested. Anyone read it?

Pok?mon Special - Kirano - 06-10-2007

What series is it based on. Joto? Hoen? Kanto?

Pok?mon Special - Celipa - 06-10-2007

All of them. Starts by following Red, who is NOT Ash. It's very unique sounding and definitely not repetitive like the anime.

LoL... The one starring Red?

I have the comic at home... It's nothing much interesting... I found it kinda wierd. It's almost just like the pokemon game.

Pok?mon Special - Celipa - 06-10-2007

I thought it looked neat. I might get a few issues.

Pok?mon Special - Joe Android 15 - 06-10-2007

Basically it was just fighting gyms... No special stuff involved... Very little storyline... It was a thing comic >.> Just battling through the Johto gyms

Pok?mon Special - Super Buu - 06-11-2007

Pok?mon Adventures? It was quite good, if I remember correctly. I had a few issues when I was about 14.

Pok?mon Special - Nori - 06-11-2007

I'v heard about it.

All the characters, the main trainers anyway, were named off colors.

Red- Main Character
Blue - Rival
Green - Girl Rival
Yellow
Gold
Silver
Diamond
Pearl
Crystal

They go on and on. I'v only read one at a bookstore.

Pok?mon Special - Celipa - 06-11-2007

Red is only the main character for a time. The others get spotlight too, really. I hear they're all kind of main characters in their own right.

I have to ask. Why do you spell I've as I'v?

Pok?mon Special - Super Buu - 06-11-2007

Each arc is based around a game. Red is the main character for the chapters that follow Pok?mon Red/Blue/Green/Yellow, and either Gold or Silver stars in the next, with the other as his rival, then it's Ruby, etc etc. It's basically like the anime but the main character changes as well as his sidekicks.

Pok?mon Special - Spencinator - 06-11-2007

Yeah, time ACTUALLY passes in this series. XD

Pok?mon Special - Nori - 06-11-2007

Green is the best.

...She actually has a cool backstory.

Pok?mon Special - Joe Android 15 - 06-11-2007

Blue is the best lol

Pok?mon Special - Celipa - 06-11-2007

Green is the male, I believe. Blue is the girl.

Green, called Blue (ブルー, Burk?) in the Japanese version, is a fictional character in the manga series Pok?mon Adventures. She is a wily, underhanded con artist who begins as a minor character but later becomes a friendly ally to the heroes.

Originally, the manga followed the adventures of the character named Red and mainly chronicled his journey of discovery from Pallet Town to becoming a Pok?mon Master. The story was true to the spirit of the original game and therefore included the rival character Blue (Green, in Japan), coinciding with the default names that the player could choose in the original Game Boy games, and the names of the games themselves: Pok?mon Red and Blue (Red and Green, in Japan). In those games, when a player started their adventure, the player has a choice of one of three Pok?mon: Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle.

In the Pok?mon Adventures, Red chooses Bulbasaur as his rival Blue chooses Charmander. Some older concept art by Ken Sugimori depicted a third trainer who took the third Pok?mon, Squirtle, but this was never implemented in the games. In Pok?mon Adventures, Squirtle was taken by a third female character who would, in time, become Green. It may be that the female version of the main character in Pok?mon FireRed and LeafGreen was based on Green from Pok?mon Adventures, as Green is based on the concept art from the Red and Blue versions, and the gender feature was finally added.

It is interesting to note that she, Red, and Blue appeared in the original American Red and Blue pamphlets with their starter Pok?mon (she had her Squirtle, Red his Bulbasaur, and Blue his Charmander), but few knew who she was, and she had her back to the reader. Also, in the beginning of the first anime series, Pikachu runs between her legs (again, to the confusion of American viewers ? she was never seen in the anime and was not explained, causing many label her merely as a Lass).

Green becomes a playable character in Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green as the female counterpart to Red. In game magazines and Player Guides screenshots are shown of Red with the name Ash as refering to the anime's hero, while screenshots of Green are shown with the name "Mariah".

((Wikipedia))

Yeah. I 'spose it is Blue. I'v just always called her green. Cause she is cool and green is my favorite color.
