Finding a New World. - Wild Tiger - 08-04-2007 Character: "Wild Tiger" Fighting Style: Explosive, Barbaric Planet: Earth-sei E-mail: mattbrown--@hotmail.com Brief History: *Note: Temporary storage. Wild Tiger comes from a small village that resides on an island off the western coast of the supercontinent. The members of his tribe are descendants of ancient peoples that inhabited the planet upon its creation. The cities of these people predated any recorded civilization and they have managed to remain well hidden since the beginning. A mystical enchantment protects the island from the world and very few outsiders are aware of its existence, with the exception of Earth’s guardian of course. Most of the villagers have some kind of spiritual connection with the planet, while the elders have deep relationships with the forces of nature. No one knows what the future brings for these people, but they seem determined to live on until the end of days. Starting Moves: Marvelous Heritage: Any member of the Ancient bloodline inherits the natural wonders that they, as a people, are subject to. They each have heightened senses by human standards, which include greater hearing and eyesight, but the most impressive ability is their acute sense of smell. Like feral creatures, they can use scent to track or hunt down organisms that remain on the planet, though this is much more tedious and drawn out than tracking someone’s chi signature. On top of this, the spiritual connection that these individuals have with the world allows them to communicate (to some extent) with the many animals that inhabit Earth! Eagle Heart: Rather than use chi-flow as a medium, Wild Tiger sustains flight by different means. In the earliest days of the Earth, his people developed a technique that they passed on through the generations. This technique, only given to direct descendants of the bloodline, was the ability to control and manipulate the air molecules and currents about them to enable flight. Unlike the chi-method, this was natural flight that could be attributed to the Ancient physiology, and like any physical activity, it eventually left the user drained, moreso if they were to accelerate beyond hypersonic levels. Wild Tiger inherited this technique, but is more likely to use it as a means of transportation than to apply it to combat situations. Shamanistic Totem: Wild Tiger has yet to discover that his shamanistic totem (or his 'spiritual avatar') happens to be the Earthworm. This supernatural connection gives him the mysterious ability to travel through the Earth. It gives him a second skin that doesn't only enable him to tunnel underground, but also protects him from such extremes as molten lava. However, this ability remains dormant, as he has yet to discover his shamanistic totem. Roleplay Sample: Droplets of rain slammed into the dirt, upsetting the soil like cannon shots. There he was ... crouching atop an old tree stump, reflecting on the stormy clouds overhead. Sitting there, he could recall his Grandfather's tales about the sacred water that came from the blackened skies. The elderly man said that it was the Goddess herself, washing out the wounds of the Earth. "Grandfather, why does the Land bleed?" The old man simply smiled at the younger image of Wild Tiger, admiring the boy's curiousity. Opening his cracked lips, the Elder exhaled a plume of smoke. He paused for a moment, eyeing the crackling image of the Goddess in the Skies. She was as beautiful as ever. "My son, the humans have forgotten Her. They no longer reckognize the very forces that gave them life, nor do they respect the flint that sparked their existance. But you cannot blame them, Wild Tiger. Ignorance is in their nature." Looking down at his Grandson, the Elder sighed. His tone was as heavy as the weight in his heart. If only he could tell the boy how he really felt. Collecting himself, the Elder continued. "One day, this world will be yours and you will carry the torch of our people. Until that day comes, you must learn to tolerate human actions. It is not our place to interfere with the homo sapiens." It was like the boy wanted to say something, but he hesitated - eyes locked on the omniscient being before him. "Follow the Ancient Code, Wild Tiger ... and take your rightful place as the heir to my Kingdom." In retrospect, the man wished he had payed more attention to his Grandfather's bits of wisdom. It would have saved him a lot of trouble, in the long run. But alas, the fates had something else in mind for Wild Tiger. Unlike the generations before him, his destiny wasn't written in stone. Nothing gave him direction now, except his will to survive. By now, the storm was over, but the damage was done. The massive fighter was drenched and his loincloth had apparently absorbed several buckets of water. Still fixated on the sky, he stepped off the stump. The Sun was visible now, illuminating his oversized figure. Months of aimless drifting had caused his hair to grow long and he proudly let it hang down his chest and back. While his ensemble might have seemed barbaric to the vast majority, this was the traditional attire of his people. However, he had to keep reminding himself that he wasn't with his people anymore. He was cast from their world, into a new one that was alien to him. The cradle of Humankind was his home now and he would make the best of it.. for better or for worse. Finding a New World. - Wild Tiger - 08-04-2007 Custom? It's just the character Wild Tiger (from the last episodes of Dragonball Z) with a tribal background. The show's depiction of the character is quite vague, he just gets his ass kicked really. I'm just turning around his story.. Another thing, I forgot to mention that the Ancients, his tribe-- they're human, they've just been around long enough that they believe themselves to be a different species. Wild Tiger is human, just like he is in the show. Finding a New World. - Android-18 - 08-04-2007 Ah, ok, I hadn't seen him before. I'll get to this when I get time.
