The greatest. Revolutionized music in only 4 years. His creativity standing the test of time for 40+ years is an inspiration to me.
3) Bruce Lee

It's fucking Bruce Lee. I shouldn't have to explain. Actually, I do... I am more of a fan of his philosophies on life than his films/kung fu shiz. He was a brilliant man.

Just from a musician's perspective, this guy is an inspiration and has managed to stay in the business without giving up his musical integrity. I drone on about this guy, so it's not a big shock to those who know me.
2.) Marvin, the Paranoid Android

You didn't say the hero had to be real. Marvin is a character from the novel "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". Though he has a brain the size of a planet, he is left to do insignificant busy-work. He's easily one of my favorite characters of all time.

President Adams. Second president, so addicted to alcohol that he kept an uncovered punch bowl full of liquor by his bed at night, and lived back in the day when any random person could just walk into the president's house and start complaining to him. His term in office was also pretty amazing.
Wyatt Earp. They don't make em like that anymore.
Miyamoto Mushashi. He is the person from Feudal Japan which all modern samurai fiction are based on. Wrote "The Book of Five Rings." Most awesome non-supernatural entity in the history of forever.
